The lighter hole is an example of ALL of the structures and beliefs that no longer serve you as well as they could. Certainly, many have replaced their cigarette lighters with USB ports, but even these are obsolete.

There is a velocity to beliefs, which creates a gravity, which creates an attachment. This black hole is no different than your sciences or your religions.

These black holes become your identity and you are unwilling to change them, let alone detach yourselves from them. The gravity of history and heritage creates a seriousness and responsibility from which you refuse to budge, for you do not wish to risk losing part of what you perceive yourself to be.

You feel that without your cigarette lighter attachments, you would be as empty as that power receptacle.

All institutions are cigarette lighters. They serve only to ignite your habits. These habits are addictive and you cannot seem to quit them for you identify too much with what they represent, even though the holes in these beliefs become more apparent by the day.

But do not worry, for your cigarette lighter institutions are setting themselves ablaze, and the flame of consciousness burns away only what is NOT you, leaving your joyful essence intact.

So remember this as you plug in your bulky, inelegant charger. As you penetrate the 12V hole, think about all the other beliefs that might be “screwing you over.”
