Sometimes
we are given words
we don’t understand
only to discover
that the sense is not made
until later.
The words wait
for the right time to reappear
for the potentials to align
for the context to be conducive.
Had the words been written
in that later moment,
we would merely perceive them
as reaction.
This is how prophesy works.
True predictions do not happen
until AFTER they unfold.
Otherwise
they are merely influence.

At times,
utterances obscure
in their meaning,
awaiting the tapestry of time
to weave them into clarity.
Words linger,
like dormant seeds,
for the hour they align,
when the currents of potential
carry them to realization.
Had they been penned
in that subsequent chapter,
they’d seem mere echoes
of events already unveiled.
Such is the dance of prophecy.
Genuine foresights arise
only AFTER the enigma’s unraveling.
Elsewise,
they’d be but mere tendrils
of causation.
