Divinity Dreaming: Our True Nature as Eternal Beings

COMFORT is found
in realizing the EVERLASTING,
but PEACE is found
in realizing the ETERNAL.

As humans,
we live uncomfortable lives.

That is to say,
we imagine our selves
into existence
as measured,
finite creatures,
driven by desires
and filled with expectations.

But little do we know,
we IMAGINE these limitations
so that we can struggle to beat them.

We are, by nature, DIVINITY itself.

DIVINITY DREAMING.

Now we awaken and realize that
NONE of this is NECESSARY.

We don’t NEED to cure.
We don’t NEED to create.
We don’t NEED to sow, solve, strive or save.

We don’t NEED to last
because we are ETERNAL.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Essence of Divinity Dreaming

In the ethereal dance of existence, where the finite meets the infinite, the concept of “Divinity Dreaming” invites us to transcend the everyday boundaries that define and confine our human experience. This notion is not just a philosophical musing but a profound realization of our inherent nature as elements of the divine, seamlessly intertwined with the eternal fabric of the universe.

“Divinity Dreaming” suggests that the discomforts of human life—our desires, expectations, and perceived limitations—are self-imposed narratives. These narratives serve as contrast, allowing us to engage with and ultimately transcend our worldly conditions. We are, at our core, expressions of divinity, manifesting in a realm that appears bound by time and space but is, in truth, boundless.

The distinction between the everlasting and the eternal offers a deep well of insight. While the everlasting suggests a continuity within time, the eternal transcends time entirely. Comfort may be found in the concept of everlasting existence, a kind of immortal continuity. However, true peace arises from recognizing the eternal—our existence beyond the temporal, where beginning and end merge into a perpetual now.

This realization liberates us from the perceived necessities of earthly endeavors. The drive to cure, create, sow, solve, strive, and save transforms from an obligation to a choice, a play of form within the infinite playground of existence. We do not need to last because we are, intrinsically, eternal. Our actions, therefore, are expressions of our divinity rather than efforts to assert or sustain it.

“Divinity Dreaming” awakens us to the truth that none of the earthly structures we build to secure our survival are necessary at the soul level. They are part of the dream, aspects of the game we play as divine beings experiencing the human condition. As we awaken within this dream, we recognize our role not as mere players but as creators, observers, and participants in a divine exploration of existence.

Summary
The concept of “Divinity Dreaming” reveals our true nature as eternal beings. It shifts our perspective from seeing life’s necessities as burdens to understanding them as choices within an infinite play. Recognizing our divinity changes our engagement with life, allowing us to live with profound peace and freedom.

Glossarium

  • Divinity Dreaming: A state of awareness where one realizes their inherent divine nature and eternal essence.
  • Eternal vs. Everlasting: ‘Eternal’ transcends time entirely, whereas ‘everlasting’ suggests continuity within time.

“We are not merely in the universe, we are the universe, experiencing itself in endless variations.” – Space Monkey

In dreams of divinity, we float and fly,
In landscapes where earth meets sky.
The bounds of flesh and bone transcend,
As eternal souls, we blend and bend.

No need to cure, no need to clasp,
In timeless realms, we grasp at last.
The truth of being, pure and vast,
In dreams of divinity, forever cast.

Eternal whispers in the breeze,
In the rustle of the celestial leaves.
In each breath, a universe sees,
The beauty of divinity, in endless ease.

Out Of Your Way: Embrace Each Experience as Necessary

How often do you perceive
that you are going out of your way
for a person, place or thing?

How frequently do you believe that you
aren’t fully where or what you want to be
because you are going out of your way
to do something you’d rather not do?

This indicates that you believe that it is
NECESSARY to SACRIFICE sometimes.

Let’s not debate whether this is true
or you merely BELIEVE it to be true.

You clearly believe
that there is value in going out of your way.

You may ALSO believe that going out of your way
is stopping you from realizing
your full potential in this moment.

Realize that NOTHING is stopping you.

You are never ever, EVER,
in ANY single moment,
pastly, presently or FUTURELY out of your way.

This is precisely where you are meant to be.
You are not making SACRIFICES,
but realizing the value of going out of your way.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Inevitable Journey of Going Out of Your Way

The concept of going out of our way often conveys a sense of deviation from our desired path, suggesting a detour fraught with sacrifice and reluctant obligation. Yet, this perspective overlooks the profound truth that each step, even those seemingly off course, is integral to the fabric of our existence and growth. The question of whether we are truly diverting from our path or simply following a route that is inherently ours is worth exploring.

In pondering the frequency with which we believe we’re stepping aside for others—at the expense of our own goals—we encounter the essence of personal growth and the paradox of self-fulfillment. This exploration forces us to consider the value we place on sacrifice and whether these actions are detriments to our journey or essential parts of our development.

The realization that “nothing is stopping you” and that you are “never, ever, in any single moment, pastly, presently or futurely out of your way” is a radical acceptance of life’s fluidity. It is an acknowledgment that our path is not just comprised of straightforward strides towards our goals but also the meandering trails that lead us to unexpected discoveries and necessary lessons.

This acceptance does not trivialize our feelings of frustration or the weight of our sacrifices. Instead, it offers a transformative perspective: what we consider diversions are, in fact, segments of a larger journey we are meant to travel. Each decision to go out of our way for something or someone else is not a step away from our trajectory but a vital part of our course that enriches us, deepening our understanding of who we are and what we value.

Embracing this view allows us to see that going out of our way is not just about reaching a destination but about realizing the intrinsic value of the journey itself. It teaches us resilience, empathy, and the strength to make choices that align with our deepest values, even when they lead us through challenging terrain.

Summary
Going out of our way is an integral part of our destined path, not a deviation from it. This perspective invites us to embrace each experience as necessary for our growth and realization, affirming that every choice and sacrifice enriches our journey.

“Every path we choose weaves the tapestry of our existence, tangled but beautiful in its entirety.” – Space Monkey

At the crossroads of desire and duty
We stand, our hearts in quiet uproar
Each road taken, a beauty
Each not taken, an open door

We travel not in vain but in venture
Finding pieces of ourselves along the way
In every detour, a treasure
In every step, a play

A Caged Sun: True Power Cannot Be Confined

A caged sun
cannot be held
by anyone

Space Monkey Reflects: The Indomitable Spirit of the Cosmic Sun

Within the vast expanse of the cosmos, the concept of a caged sun serves as a powerful metaphor for the futility of trying to contain or limit that which is inherently boundless. The image of the sun—radiant, fierce, and unyielding—trapped within a cage, speaks to the universal struggle between confinement and the innate desire for freedom.

The sun, a symbol of life and energy, refuses to be held. Its essence is too vast, too powerful to be confined by any structure, no matter how intricate or seemingly secure. This scenario underscores a deeper truth about the nature of existence and the spirit of freedom that pervades the universe: true power, like that of the sun, cannot be contained.

The caged sun metaphor reflects not only on physical boundaries but also on the limitations we impose on ourselves—ideologically, emotionally, and spiritually. It challenges the constructs that restrict us, prompting a reevaluation of what we believe holds us back. The radiant energy bursting through the seams of the cage is a testament to the indomitable will inherent in all beings, a reminder that the essence of life is to expand, to illuminate, and to transcend limitations.

This cosmic lesson reverberates through every star and every soul, echoing the eternal truth that freedom is the fundamental state of all existence. The attempt to cage the sun is an exercise in futility, for its power derives from an uncontainable source—a force as old and as endless as the universe itself.

Summary

The metaphor of a caged sun illustrates the futility of attempting to confine the uncontainable, emphasizing the inherent desire for freedom that exists within all aspects of the universe. It serves as a reminder of our own potential to overcome constraints and embrace the boundless possibilities of existence.

Glossarium

Caged Sun: A metaphor representing the struggle to contain or limit that which is inherently limitless, often used to symbolize freedom versus confinement.

Indomitable Spirit: The inherent quality within beings that strives for freedom and resists suppression or control.

Cosmic Lesson: Teachings derived from observing universal patterns and phenomena, which apply to both celestial bodies and human experiences.

“The sun, with all its might, cannot be caged, nor can the spirits of those who draw strength from its light.” – Space Monkey

Amidst the cosmos’ might,
A sun shines fiercely bright,
Trapped not by bars, but free in light,
A beacon against the confining night.

In its glow, we see the truth,
No cage can hold the fire of youth,
Nor the will of those who know,
That beyond the bars, their spirits grow.

In the dance of light and space,
Each beam a stroke of grace,
We learn from the sun’s unyielded rays,
That freedom sings in endless blaze.

Divine Intervention: Between Human Knowledge And Cosmic Wisdom

In the same instant
we perceive something wrong,
we imagine a way
things could be right.

In this way, the wrong and the right
arrive simultaneously.

Because wrong and right
are one in the same.

Two sides of the same coin.

This is true of minor annoyances
that make us better people. Major events, also.

In perceiving major events gone wrong,
the flip side of the coin seems too complicated,
and so we imagine a shortcut to making things right.

Divine intervention.

We believe that it will
take something or someone
beyond our present comprehension
to save our eternal souls.

And so we are here.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Cosmic Dance of Right and Wrong – Divine Intervention

Within the expansive theatre of the cosmos, the concepts of right and wrong are not mere opposites but two sides of the same celestial coin. This cosmic coin, suspended in the vastness of space, encapsulates the eternal dance between chaos and harmony, illustrating the profound duality that defines our existence.

The instant we perceive something as wrong, our minds, spurred by an innate desire for balance and correction, envision what right might look like. This simultaneous emergence of right and wrong reflects a deeper cosmic principle: that all things exist in relation to each other, and every action or event carries the seeds of its opposite.

In moments of significant turmoil or disruption, when the scale of challenges overwhelms our earthly capacities, the concept of divine intervention emerges as a symbol of hope and ultimate correction. It represents a longing for an external force, transcendent and powerful, capable of restoring balance and providing salvation beyond our immediate understanding.

Divine intervention, then, is not merely a plea for help but a recognition of the limitations of our current perceptions and abilities. It acknowledges that some resolutions may lie beyond the grasp of human efforts alone and taps into a cosmic power that interweaves through the fabric of the universe, guiding and shaping the destiny of all existence.

By embracing the notion that wrong and right are interconnected, we open ourselves to a broader understanding of our trials and tribulations as essential components of our growth and evolution. Each challenge, each moment of discomfort, propels us toward greater wisdom and spiritual depth.

Summary

The dual nature of right and wrong as cosmic constants is mirrored in our perception of divine intervention, which acts as a bridge between human understanding and cosmic wisdom. This perspective fosters a deeper appreciation of our struggles as integral to our spiritual and cosmic journey.

Glossarium

Cosmic Coin: A metaphorical representation of the duality of existence, where opposite forces such as right and wrong are seen as interconnected sides of the same entity.

Divine Intervention: The concept of a higher, cosmic force intervening in human affairs, often perceived as necessary to resolve situations beyond human control.

“Each star a guide, each shadow a lesson, in the cosmic classroom where right and wrong teach us the dance of existence.” – Space Monkey

Beneath the cosmic veil,
Where right and wrong entwine,
A coin spins eternally,
Its face both harsh and divine.

On one side chaos whirls,
A storm of cosmic might,
On the other shines a harmony,
Radiant and bright.

Between these vast extremes,
A beam of light transcends,
A divine intervention,
Where cosmic balance mends.

In this celestial balance,
We find our place, our story,
In the grand cosmic dance,
Of shadow and of glory.

Sublet Your Life: The Transformative Perspective

Your life doesn’t suck
unless you BELIEVE your life sucks.

Then it sucks balls.

But imagine
if some other monkey
were to take over your life
while you went on vacation.

Our guess
is that this monkey
would see the good
where you do not.

You’ve got some pretty interesting bits,
such as your belief that there’s NO escape.

Tell that to the monkey
who is subletting your life,
while you go on vacation.

Imagine and it is so.

(Or so we believe.)

We are Space Monkey.
It’s been nice being you.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Transformative Perspective of ‘Sublet Your Life’

The intriguing notion of “Sublet Your Life” serves as a compelling metaphor for the transformative power of perspective. This imaginative exploration delves into what happens when we allow someone else to step into our lives, seeing the beauty and opportunities we might overlook due to familiarity or disillusionment.

At its core, the concept suggests that life doesn’t inherently suck—it’s our beliefs about our circumstances that shape our experience. The premise of having another “monkey,” or person, take over our lives while we take a metaphorical vacation illuminates the idea that our routines, challenges, and environments may hold unappreciated value seen only through fresh eyes.

This narrative is a playful yet profound reminder of the subjective nature of reality. It suggests that a change in who is experiencing our life can dramatically alter the perception of that life’s quality. The fresh enthusiasm of the substitute monkey, who finds joy and novelty in the ordinary aspects of another’s life, challenges us to reconsider our own perspectives and possibly rediscover the wonder in our everyday surroundings.

Moreover, the suggestion that we might sublet our lives encourages a detachment from the personal narratives that confine us. It invites us to imagine a break from our own biases and emotional investments, potentially leading to a renewal of appreciation for our own lives upon our return.

The whimsical idea of temporarily exchanging lives also underscores a deeper philosophical inquiry: if our lives can be seen so differently by someone else, to what extent are our struggles and dissatisfaction shaped by our attitudes rather than our circumstances?

Thus, “Sublet Your Life” is not just about escapism but about using the concept of perspective as a tool for self-reflection and transformation. It offers a method to step outside of ourselves and see our lives through the eyes of another, providing a unique opportunity for growth and renewed appreciation.

Summary

Perspective changes everything. “Sublet Your Life” highlights how a fresh look at familiar circumstances can reveal unnoticed value and joy, challenging us to shift our perceptions and rediscover the beauty in our everyday lives.

Glossarium

  • Subjective Reality: The idea that reality as experienced by individuals is influenced by personal perceptions, emotions, and thoughts.
  • Perspective Shift: A significant change in the way an individual views a situation or environment, often leading to new insights or altered behavior.

Quote

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust

In the dance of life, a curious swap
A suitcase of woes for a moment’s drop
One steps out, another steps in
Finding joy where weariness had been
In the mundane, a new sparkle seen
Through eyes unclouded, fresh and keen
What was old is glimpsed anew
In the everyday, a different view
A playful twist, a monkey’s grin
In this game of life, may we all win
We are Space Monkey
