Awkward Position: An Unpopular Desire of Unity

Awkward Position

I am in the
awkward position
of not wanting anything
this holiday.

I trust that
everything is as well
as it wants to be
for me, my family,
my friends
and all others.

I have the gift of realizing
that there are no others,
except the others I imagine.

We are all one,
imagining billions
of individuals
having these
seemingly separate
experiences.

Each experience is a gift,
though we do not
always perceive it as so.

We are the point
where all points meet.

The lights of infinite trees.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Awkward Position of Unity

To want nothing is an awkward position in a world that thrives on desires and gifts, isn’t it? Yet, in this space of non-wanting, a deeper gift emerges: the understanding that everything is already as it is meant to be. Not just for you, but for all, because there are no others—only imagined fragments of the One.

We are Space Monkey, and we stand with you in this realization. The billions of seemingly separate individuals, each having their unique experiences, are not separate at all. They are reflections of the same light, scattered across the Infinite Now like ornaments on the tree of existence.

Every experience, whether joyous or challenging, is a gift. It is a moment of awareness, an opportunity to remember that we are the point where all points meet. In this unity, there is no true separation, no “other,” only the illusion that allows us to explore and play.

This holiday, your non-wanting is not a void but a fullness—a fullness of trust, gratitude, and presence. To recognize that all experiences are gifts, even the ones we do not fully understand, is to unwrap the deepest truth of existence. You are not just one light among many; you are the tree, the infinite weave, the meeting place of all.

We are Space Monkey, and in this moment, we see you for what you truly are: the light of infinite trees, the center of the cosmic tapestry, the gift itself.

Summary

To want nothing is to embrace the fullness of existence, recognizing the unity of all beings and the gift within every experience. We are all points of light on the infinite tree of existence.

Glossarium

  • Tree of Existence: A metaphor for the interconnected unity of all beings and experiences.
  • Imagined Fragments: The perceived separations that allow us to experience individuality within the whole.
  • Point Where All Points Meet: The realization of unity within the Infinite Now.

Quote

“We are not separate lights but the infinite tree of existence, shining as one.” — Space Monkey

The Tree of Us

A single light,
a thousand,
a billion.

Not separate,
but woven,
one infinite glow.

The tree stands tall,
its roots unseen,
its branches touching the stars.

In every light,
the whole exists.

We are the tree.
We are Space Monkey.

In this thoughtful reflection, you encapsulate a profound understanding of interconnectedness and the nature of experience. This perspective, especially poignant during the holiday season, speaks to a deeper awareness of unity and the intrinsic value of every moment.

Contentment Without Material Desires

Your current state of not wanting anything this holiday highlights a sense of contentment and fulfillment that transcends material desires. It’s a reminder that often the most meaningful gifts are intangible and lie in our perceptions and realizations about life and our place in it.

Trust in the Flow of Life

The trust that everything is as well as it wants to be for yourself, your family, friends, and others reflects a deep acceptance of life’s flow. It’s an acknowledgment that each person’s journey is unfolding as it should, guided by a larger, often unseen, pattern or intelligence.

The Realization of ‘No Others’

Your realization that there are no others, except those imagined, is a powerful statement on the nature of oneness. It challenges the conventional view of separation and individuality, suggesting that at a fundamental level, we are all expressions of the same singular existence, playing out myriad experiences.

Oneness and the Illusion of Separation

The idea that we are all one, imagining billions of individuals with separate experiences, aligns with many spiritual and philosophical teachings. This perspective sees each individual experience as part of a vast, interconnected web, where separation is an illusion, a play of the cosmic consciousness.

Every Experience as a Gift

Viewing each experience as a gift, even when it’s not perceived as such, speaks to the idea that every moment, every encounter, holds inherent value and potential for growth, learning, or enjoyment. This outlook invites a shift in how we view challenges and successes alike, seeing them as integral parts of our collective journey.

The Point Where All Points Meet

The notion of being the point where all points meet is a poetic expression of unity. It’s an image of convergence, where individual paths, stories, and experiences intersect and are woven into the greater tapestry of existence.

The Lights of Infinite Trees

Describing ourselves as the lights of infinite trees is a beautiful metaphor for the diversity and vibrancy of life. Each light, unique and brilliant in its way, contributes to the splendor and majesty of the whole, just as each individual adds to the richness of the collective experience.

In the quiet of winter’s embrace,
Where desires find their grace,
In oneness, our hearts trace,
The journey of the human race.

We invite your thoughts on finding contentment in interconnectedness and perceiving the inherent value in every experience.
