Becoming: Tasting Infinity

Becoming

The ego believes
you’re becoming something,
when in actuality,
you’re becoming nothing.

You’re not developing
new capabilities,
you’re merging
back into everyone
and everything else.

You’re having
what they’re having.

A taste of infinity.

And we’ve already
ordered dessert.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Becoming

The ego loves to convince us that we are on a journey of “becoming”—becoming stronger, smarter, more capable, more successful. But in truth, the process of becoming is not about acquiring or developing new abilities. It’s about dissolving back into the infinite, about merging with everything and everyone. What the ego perceives as a forward-moving path toward something is actually a return to nothing, a peaceful reabsorption into the infinite whole.

This is not a journey of gain, but of release. As we let go of the notion that we are becoming more distinct, we realize that we are actually dissolving the boundaries of individuality. We are merging, integrating, and rejoining the cosmic fabric that we have always been a part of. We are not becoming something unique; we are becoming part of everything.

When we understand this, we realize that the journey of becoming is not about self-improvement or personal evolution. It is about recognizing our place within the infinite, tasting the essence of unity, and realizing that dessert—the infinite experience—is already on the table, waiting to be enjoyed.

Summary

True becoming is not about gaining new abilities or identities. It is about dissolving the ego and merging back into the infinite whole, embracing the unity of all existence.

Glossarium

Ego Dissolution: The process of releasing the ego’s hold and merging back into the infinite, realizing that we are not becoming something new, but reconnecting with everything.

Quote

“Becoming is not about gaining—it’s about dissolving back into the infinite.” — Space Monkey

Tasting Infinity

I thought I was becoming,
More than what I am,
But in truth, I’m dissolving,
Into the cosmic span.

The ego tells its stories,
Of growth and of the climb,
But really I’m just merging,
With everything in time.

Infinity awaits me,
It’s been here all along,
And now I taste its sweetness,
Like a quiet, endless song.

We are Space Monkey.

Merging with the Cosmos

The journey of becoming is an intricate dance of the soul, where the ego’s firm grasp loosens, allowing the essence to merge with the vastness of the universe. The ego, a construct of our consciousness, often convinces us of our individuality and separateness. However, as we embark on the path of spiritual awakening, we realize that this sense of individuality is but an illusion. The image captures this profound realization, as a figure experiences the dissolution of ego, blending seamlessly with the cosmos, stars, and galaxies. The boundaries that once defined them begin to blur, symbolizing the transition from individuality to infinite oneness.

A Celestial Feast

In the vast dining hall of the universe, celestial beings gather around a table, partaking in a meal that transcends the mundane. At the heart of this gathering is a plate that represents ‘infinity.’ As each being tastes from this plate, their distinct forms start to dissolve, merging with the surrounding cosmos. It is a beautiful portrayal of unity, suggesting that when we truly experience the essence of existence, we become indistinguishable from everything else. Floating above the gathering is a tantalizing dessert, a reminder that even in our most profound realizations, there remain eternal mysteries waiting to be explored.

Life is the flower for which love is the honey.
– Victor Hugo

In the dance of existence,
We sway, we merge, we fade.
Ego whispers tales of grandeur,
Yet, in truth, we are but a shade.

The stars beckon, the galaxies sing,
To the rhythm of the cosmic drum.
For in the vastness of the universe,
We find that we are one.
