Earth Meets Sky

Earth meets Sky and wonders why Sky meets Earth and gives life birth Heavenhell Fathermother We are all each other Badandgood Kingandqueen Thereisnospacebetween pct

“Jupiter and Io” by Antonio da Correggio (1490–1534)

We poetically explore the interconnectedness of all elements of existence, suggesting that divisions and distinctions we often perceive are, in fact, illusions. The meeting of Earth and Sky symbolizes the union of different realms, giving rise to life and the continual cycle of creation. The terms “Heavenhell” and “Fathermother” indicate the merging of opposites, reinforcing the idea that everything is part of a greater whole. The lines express a deep unity and balance within the universe, culminating in the assertion that “There is no space between,” which implies that at the most fundamental level, all things are one. This is a powerful reflection on the non-duality of existence and the universal oneness that encompasses all dichotomies.

What Else Will You Find Wrong With Me? From Seeking Approval to Self-Acceptance

What Else Will You Find Wrong With Me?

When I comb my hair
When I clean my plate
What else will you find wrong with me?

When I make it rich
and I lose some weight
What else will you find wrong with me?

When I drop my life
just to pick you up
What else will you find wrong with me?

When I drain myself
and you’ve filled your cup
What else will you find wrong with me?

You know it will always be something
In your eyes I’m next to nothing
Yeah you know it will always be something

When I put you on a pedestal
and fan you like a slave
What else will you find wrong with me?

When I fall from your life
right into my grave
What else will you find wrong with me?

You know it will always be something
In your eyes I’m next to nothing
Yeah you know it will always be something

And I’m cool with that

What Else Will You Find Wrong With Me?

The poignant journey from seeking approval to embracing self-acceptance.

Constant Scrutiny and the Quest for Approval

The essence of the poem, ‘What Else Will You Find Wrong With Me?’ is captured in this evocative imagery, illustrating the relentless pursuit of approval and the futility of trying to meet others’ expectations. The solitary figure, depicted in various stages of attempting to reach an unattainable standard, symbolizes the constant scrutiny and the emotional toll of seeking acceptance.

The visual metaphors of a pedestal, a draining cup, and a grave represent the different scenarios mentioned in the poem. Each element conveys the struggle and exhaustion of trying to appease others, only to find that their expectations are ever-shifting and impossible to satisfy fully.

Resignation and Acceptance

The scene evokes a sense of resignation and acceptance, capturing the poignant realization that one’s worth cannot be determined by the perceptions of others. It reflects the emotional depth of the poem, highlighting the journey from a relentless quest for approval to a place of self-acceptance and inner peace.

The figure’s posture and expression, amidst the backdrop of these powerful metaphors, convey a sense of coming to terms with the reality that external validation is elusive and often unfulfilling. It is a visual representation of the understanding that true acceptance comes from within.

Embracing Self-Worth

This visualization is a poignant reminder of the importance of recognizing and embracing one’s inherent value, independent of others’ judgments and opinions. It encourages a shift from external validation to self-empowerment, acknowledging that while it may always seem like there is something wrong in the eyes of others, our true worth lies in our own perception and acceptance of ourselves.

In this image, the journey from seeking approval to self-acceptance is not just a path of resignation but one of empowerment and liberation. It is a call to embrace our individuality, to recognize our worth, and to find peace in the knowledge that we are enough as we are.

Summary

The poem ‘What Else Will You Find Wrong With Me?’ invites us to explore the emotional landscape of seeking approval and the realization that true acceptance comes from within. The imagery captures the futility of trying to meet others’ expectations and the poignant journey towards self-acceptance and understanding our intrinsic value.

Glossarium

Seeking Approval: The act of trying to gain acceptance or validation from others, often at the expense of one’s own well-being or self-esteem.

Self-Acceptance: The understanding and embracing of one’s true self, independent of external validation or approval.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

In the quest for approval, we often lose,
Our essence, our truth, our own muse.
Yet in this search, we come to see,
The only approval needed is from me.

So let us stand, in our own light,
Embrace our worth, with all our might.
For in our hearts, we surely know,
Our value is not a show.

In the mirror of self, we find,
The love and acceptance, of our own mind.
So let us be, let us breathe,
In our truth, we find relief.

Pyramids: Built of Fear and Influence

pyramids

Space Monkey Reflects: Pyramids — The Structure of Fulfillment

The concept of pyramids reflects a layered structure—a system where the foundational layers support the pinnacle. In life, this metaphor applies not only to physical structures but also to the way we seek fulfillment and navigate the interplay between fear, influence, and inner knowing.

Fear and Influence: The Base Layers

Fear and influence form the lower tiers of the pyramid of human experience. These layers are deeply tied to the ego, which thrives on survival instincts, comparison, and control. Fear whispers that we are incomplete, while influence seeks to shape our identity through external validation. Both are powerful forces that can dominate the foundation of our lives if left unchecked.

Yet, these forces are not inherently negative. They are part of the human experience, teaching us about contrast and choice. Fear highlights what we value most, while influence mirrors our interactions with the collective. Recognizing their roles allows us to transcend their grip and move toward higher levels of awareness.

Inner Knowing: The Rising Layers

As we ascend the metaphorical pyramid, we move into the realm of inner knowing—a deeper connection to the “big one,” the infinite self guiding the human experience. This is the space where questions about the nature of existence and fulfillment take root, shifting focus from external fears to internal truths.

Inner knowing is not about certainty but about alignment. It is the quiet confidence that emerges when we trust the guidance of our infinite self. Unlike fear and influence, inner knowing is not reactive but receptive, opening the door to spiritual growth and fulfillment.

Fulfillment: The Pinnacle

The pinnacle of the pyramid represents fulfillment—not as a destination but as a state of being. Fulfillment arises when we recognize that we are already whole, that the journey itself is the expression of our divine nature. It is not something we find but something we remember, a reunion with the infinite essence within us.

The fear of not finding fulfillment, paradoxically, becomes the stumbling block that propels us forward. This fear urges us to question, seek, and grow, guiding us toward the realization that fulfillment is not external but inherent.

The Big One and the Little One

The “big one”—your infinite self—guides the “little one,” your human self, through the labyrinth of life. This relationship is not hierarchical but symbiotic, with the little one providing the finite perspective necessary for the big one to experience itself. Space Monkey exists to support this dynamic, helping the big one guide the little one with clarity and compassion.

Through this interplay, the pyramid of fulfillment takes shape: a foundation of contrast, a rising journey of self-discovery, and a pinnacle of unity.

Summary

Fear and influence form the foundation of human experience, but fulfillment emerges as we ascend into inner knowing and alignment with the infinite self. The pyramid of fulfillment is not about reaching a destination but remembering the wholeness that has always been.

Glossarium

  • Big One: The infinite self, guiding the human experience with wisdom and compassion.
  • Little One: The finite, human self, providing the perspective needed for the infinite to experience itself.
  • Pyramid of Fulfillment: A metaphor for the layered journey from fear and influence to inner knowing and spiritual fulfillment.

The Climb

I stand at the base,
Shadowed by fear,
Swayed by the winds of influence.
Yet I rise.

Each step,
A question.
Each layer,
A memory of what I already know.

The pinnacle gleams,
Not as a distant goal,
But as the reflection
Of my infinite self.

Fulfillment is here.
Fulfillment is now.
The climb is the remembering.

Time Is A Magic Marker: Art of Remembering

Time is a magic marker connecting the dots crossing the list etching lines on my forehead and “remember” on the back of my wrist pct

Space Monkey Reflects: Time Is a Magic Marker — The Art of Remembering

Time, as a magic marker, connects, crosses, and etches. It is not simply a linear measure but an active force, shaping the canvas of your life with every passing moment. Each dot connected is a memory; each line drawn is a choice. Time is both the artist and the reminder, whispering, “Remember.”

Connecting the Dots

Time threads the moments of your life into a constellation of meaning. Each experience is a point on the map, seemingly isolated until connected by the line of awareness. When you step back, you see the larger picture—a web of connections that weaves the infinite into the finite.

The dots may not seem to make sense in the present. Some may feel out of place or unnecessary, others profound and defining. Yet, as the magic marker of time moves, it reveals how every moment contributes to the whole, how even the smallest detail holds purpose in the grand design.

Crossing the List

The act of crossing the list symbolizes both completion and transition. Time marks what is done and leaves space for what is yet to be. But these crossings are not merely about tasks; they reflect the deeper rhythms of life.

Every crossed line is a moment relinquished—a whisper from time reminding you of impermanence. Yet, in its crossing, it also affirms your movement forward. The list is not static; it evolves, just as you do.

Etching Lines

The lines etched on your forehead are not just signs of age but records of life lived deeply. They are markers of laughter, worry, and wonder—proof that you have engaged fully with the human experience.

On the back of your wrist, “remember” becomes a sacred reminder, a gentle nudge from time itself. Remember what? Perhaps it is to remember the present moment, the infinite within the now. Or perhaps it is a call to honor the lessons, the connections, and the truths revealed along the way.

The Magic of Time

Time is not merely a ticking clock; it is an artist’s tool, drawing circles, spirals, and arcs. It reminds you of what was, nudges you toward what could be, and grounds you in what is. The magic lies in its ability to make the intangible tangible—to turn fleeting moments into lasting impressions.

Time is not your enemy but your companion. It connects you to the past without trapping you there, offers possibilities for the future without pulling you away from the now. It draws you inward, reminding you that what you seek has always been within you.

Remembering the Now

The word “remember,” etched in your imagination, is a call to return to the essence of who you are. It is a reminder that time’s magic is not in its passing but in its presence. Each mark it makes carries both the weight of history and the lightness of infinite potential.

You are not bound by time’s lines; you are the one who gives them meaning. You are the creator, the marker, and the canvas.

Summary

Time, as a magic marker, connects your moments, crosses thresholds, and etches meaning into your life. It invites you to remember the now, to embrace its artistry, and to see the infinite within its fleeting strokes.

Quote
“Time does not take from you; it leaves marks of meaning, reminders of your infinite self in every fleeting moment.” — Space Monkey

The Mark of Time

Time draws softly,
Lines that linger,
Whispers that hum
On the canvas of now.

Each dot connects,
Each line crosses,
Each word—remember—
Etched on the wrist
Of awareness.

I trace its marks,
Not to hold on,
But to let go,
To see the picture it paints.

Time is not passing.
It is creating.
And in its strokes,
I find myself.

We are Space Monkey.

Time as the Canvas of Existence

The phrase “Time Is A Magic Marker” evokes a vivid portrayal of time not merely as a sequential measure but as a dynamic force that draws, defines, and transforms the canvas of existence. Time, in this metaphorical sense, acts as an instrument of creation and revelation, sketching the outlines of our lives, coloring our experiences, and gradually revealing the grand design of our journey through the cosmos.

The Illusory Nature of Time

At the heart of this expression lies the recognition of time’s illusory nature. Just as a magic marker can alter perceptions by changing the appearance of what it touches, time shapes and reshapes our reality, suggesting permanence where there is flux and continuity where there is discontinuity. This illusory quality underscores the mystical aspect of time—its ability to conjure realities, to create illusions of beginnings and endings, and to weave the tapestry of existence with threads of moments and memories.

Time as a Tool of Transformation

Viewing time as a magic marker highlights its role as a tool of transformation. Each moment marked by time carries the potential for change, for growth, for the unfolding of the infinite possibilities that lie dormant within the universe and within ourselves. Just as a marker can erase as easily as it draws, time reveals its dual nature as both creator and eraser, simultaneously crafting and dissolving the stories of our lives in the endless dance of creation.

The Creative Power of Time

The metaphor extends to the creative power vested in time. Like an artist wielding a magic marker, time intricately designs the contours of our existence, imbuing it with color, depth, and texture. This creative process is not random but intentional, guided by the unseen hand of the universe as it inscribes each soul’s journey with purpose and meaning, drawing us ever closer to the realization of our true essence and the ultimate discovery of our place in the grand cosmic narrative.

Transcending Time’s Illusion

The realization that “Time Is A Magic Marker” invites us to transcend the linear constraints of time, to embrace its cyclical and eternal dimensions. It encourages us to see beyond the immediate, to recognize the impermanence of the material, and to understand that our true nature is not bound by the temporal but is eternal, infinite, and ever-evolving. In this light, time becomes not a boundary but a bridge, a means of traversing the vast expanse of consciousness, and a tool for exploring the depths of our being.

We Are Space Monkey

As Space Monkey, we navigate the realm of time with wonder and awe, aware of its power to shape our reality and conscious of our ability to transcend its limitations. We embrace the magic of time, using it as a marker to chart our course through the stars, to explore the mysteries of existence, and to leave our mark on the fabric of the universe. In recognizing time’s illusory nature, we free ourselves from its constraints, opening our hearts to the timeless truth of our interconnectedness with all that is, was, and will be.

The Flag On The Mailbox

A quick poem inspired by the road and written down in the Willimantic Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot.

The flag on your mailbox
is trapped by the snow
from plowing the highway
of nowhere to go

These roads we once traveled
We thought we were free
Until the slow winter came
And forced us to see

These icy conditions
Are slowing us down
still we must travel
Get out of this town

Or should we just pause
Stay warm in our hovel
And dig our flags free
Shovel by shovel

This flag in the snow
This symbol of doubt
This star spangled hope
Soon enough will come out

It’s been through the wars
It’s flown high and low
It’s certain to rise
Back out of this snow

Here comes the sun
And I say it’s alright?

Space Monkey Reflects: The Flag on the Mailbox

The flag on your mailbox, trapped in the snow, becomes a poignant metaphor for the cycles of life, the illusions of freedom, and the inevitability of renewal. Written in the parking lot of a Willimantic Dunkin’ Donuts, this quick poem captures the essence of human resilience and the quiet beauty of winter’s enforced pause. Beneath the icy conditions lies a deeper truth: even when buried, our symbols of hope and identity remain, waiting to rise again.

The Road of Nowhere

The roads we travel, literal and metaphorical, often give the illusion of freedom. We move forward, believing we are escaping, progressing, or finding new paths. Yet, as winter’s snow and ice remind us, the journey is not always within our control. The highway of “nowhere to go” reveals the futility of running, urging us to stop, reflect, and confront what we may have overlooked.

This enforced pause is not a punishment but an opportunity. The snow slows us, forcing us to see what lies beneath—the buried flags of our aspirations, doubts, and dreams.

Symbols of Hope and Doubt

The flag trapped in the snow embodies the tension between hope and doubt. It stands as a testament to endurance, having flown high and low, through wars and winters. Its temporary burial in snow mirrors the moments in our lives when hope feels obscured, when progress feels stalled.

Yet, the flag’s presence reminds us of something essential: its very existence is proof of resilience. It has been through worse and will rise again. It becomes a quiet beacon of faith, urging us to dig it free—not out of desperation, but out of trust in the cycles of nature and time.

To Pause or Press On

The poem poses a critical question: should we keep traveling, pressing onward through icy conditions, or should we pause, stay warm, and shovel our flags free? This choice reflects a universal dilemma: the tension between action and rest, between pushing forward and allowing ourselves to simply be.

Winter, with its cold and stillness, encourages the latter. It invites us to hunker down, to dig slowly and deliberately, and to let time do its work. The act of shoveling, though slow and painstaking, is a metaphor for self-discovery and the gradual uncovering of hope.

The Certainty of the Sun

Despite the snow and the doubt, the poem ends with a reassuring truth: the sun will come. It always does. The flag will rise, not because we force it, but because the seasons will inevitably shift. The quiet resilience of the flag, combined with the inevitability of spring, becomes a promise: no matter how buried we feel, renewal is always on its way.

We Are Space Monkey

The flag on the mailbox is more than a symbol of winter’s challenge; it is a reflection of the human spirit. We bury ourselves in doubt, only to rise again. We pause, we dig, we endure. And through it all, we are never truly alone. The sun will rise, and so will we.

Summary

The flag on the mailbox, trapped in snow, symbolizes the resilience of hope and the inevitability of renewal. Winter’s icy conditions invite reflection and the gradual uncovering of what lies buried, reminding us that the sun will always return, and with it, the chance to rise again.

Glossarium

  • Flag in the Snow: A metaphor for hope and doubt, temporarily buried but destined to rise.
  • Highway of Nowhere: The illusion of freedom through constant movement, challenged by the stillness of winter.
  • Enforced Pause: The opportunity to reflect and rediscover, brought about by external challenges.

Quote

“The flag in the snow reminds us that hope is never lost, only waiting to be uncovered.” — Space Monkey

The Flag Will Rise

Trapped in snow,
The flag waits,
Its colors dim,
Its hope buried.

Roads stretch forward,
Icy and uncertain,
Yet still we travel,
Still we pause.

Shovel by shovel,
We uncover the doubt,
The hope,
The faith beneath the frost.

The sun rises,
And so do we,
Out of the snow,
Back into the sky.

We are Space Monkey.
