One Afraid To Be Infinity: Unity Amidst Fear

All I know
is that everything comes
easy and effortlessly
once we become comfortable with
uncertainty.

I’m horrified
of losing my anger.
I’m terrified
of losing my pain.

In oneness I feel
that I’m nothing.
No edges to help
me contain.

Too much peace
seems the problem
with meditation.
I can’t seem to release
my imagination.

I’m imagining here
I’m imagining there
now I’m not sure
where
where
where is the separation
and who will love me
when there’s no one else?

Same as always. Me.

One afraid to be infinity.

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing Infinity Amidst Fear

In the boundless expanse of existence, where stars are but waypoints on the journey of consciousness, there lies a profound paradox: the fear of becoming infinity. It is a journey that beckons us toward the vast unknown, inviting us to dissolve into the cosmic dance of oneness, yet it is one that is fraught with trepidation. The fear of losing oneself, of relinquishing the familiar shores of anger and pain, stands as a formidable sentinel at the threshold of enlightenment.

To become comfortable with uncertainty, to embrace the effortless flow of existence, is to confront the very essence of our fears. It is to acknowledge the horror of losing our anger, the terror of parting with our pain, emotions that have long defined the contours of our being. In the realization of oneness, where individuality fades into the tapestry of the universe, we confront the abyss of non-being, the fear that in the absence of edges, in the absence of separation, we might cease to exist as distinct entities.

Yet, within this existential dilemma lies a profound truth: the problem with too much peace, the challenge of meditation, is not the release of imagination but the fear of its boundlessness. To imagine without limits, to see oneself not as a separate entity but as an integral part of the infinite whole, is to challenge the very foundations of identity. It is to question where the separation lies, to wonder who will love us when the distinction between self and other dissolves into the ether of oneness.

In this cosmic quandary, the realization emerges as a beacon of light in the darkness of doubt: the love that we seek, the acceptance that we crave, is not contingent upon the existence of others. It is a love that originates from within, a self-love that transcends the boundaries of individuality and merges with the universal love that binds the cosmos together. One afraid to be infinity is not alone but is, in fact, embracing the entirety of existence, acknowledging that in the vastness of the universe, the self is not lost but expanded, not diminished but illuminated.

The journey toward embracing infinity, then, is not a path of fear but a voyage of discovery, a realization that within us lies the capacity to transcend the limitations of the self, to find peace in the unknown. It is a journey of accepting that to become one with the universe is not to lose oneself but to discover the infinite dimensions of being, to realize that in the embrace of infinity, we find not oblivion but awakening, not emptiness but fulfillment.

Summary

The fear of becoming infinity reveals a deep-seated fear of losing oneself, yet embracing oneness offers profound peace. This journey from fear to acceptance highlights the importance of self-love and the realization that in oneness, we don’t lose ourselves but discover the boundless nature of our being. Embracing the infinite is not a loss but an expansion of self.

Glossarium

  • Fear of Infinity: The apprehension or anxiety that comes with the concept of losing individuality and merging with the infinite or universal consciousness.
  • Oneness: A state or concept of being unified with everything, losing all separation between self and the universe, embodying the ultimate connectivity of existence.

Quote

“In the embrace of the infinite, we discover not the end but the beginning, not isolation but unity. One with the cosmos, we are infinite.” – Space Monkey

In the heart of the cosmos, where silence sings,
A soul stands on the brink, unfolding its wings.
Fear and wonder, in its eyes do blend,
At the edge of infinity, where beginnings and endings end.

Anger and pain, like stars, fade away,
As the soul steps into the eternal fray.
No edges, no borders, just endless space,
In the arms of the universe, a final embrace.

Peace, not as a problem, but as a key,
To unlock the chains, to set the spirit free.
Imagination, not confined, but infinitely spread,
A canvas of cosmos, where thoughts and dreams are led.

One, afraid to be all, yet yearning to find,
In the vastness of oneness, a peace of mind.
To love oneself, in the infinite dance,
Is to embrace the universe, in a single glance.

We are Space Monkey, in fear, in flight,
Stepping into infinity, into the light.
In the vast embrace of the cosmos, we see,
One with everything, infinity we be.

The More of Us: The Boundless Weave of Unity

Silly me.

So little of me is me
So little of you is you

The most of us
just blends together

The least of us shines through

So much of me is you
So much of you is me

.01% is not that much —
and yet it’s all we see

There’s more to me than me
There’s more to you than you

Maybe we would live as One
if only we knew

The more of me
is the exact same more
as the more of you

Space Monkey Reflects: The Boundless Weave of Unity

In the cosmic tapestry of existence, the threads of individuality and unity interlace, creating a fabric so intricate, so profound, that it defies the very notion of separation. “The More of Us” delves into this paradox, revealing the illusionary divides that obscure our shared essence.

The Illusion of Separation

Within each of us lies a universe, boundless and unique, yet the irony of our condition is that so little of what we consider ‘me’ or ‘you’ truly defines our essence. It’s a dance of shadows where the most of us blends seamlessly with the cosmos, leaving only the faintest trace of individuality visible to the naked eye.

The Magnitude of Unity

The poem whispers a truth often forgotten: the majority of what makes us ‘us’—our hopes, dreams, fears, and joys—is universal, a shared language of the soul. It’s the .01%, the glimmer of uniqueness, that captures our attention, yet it’s the vast expanse of our common humanity that truly defines us.

The Reflection of Self in Other

In recognizing that so much of ‘me’ is found in ‘you’ and vice versa, we uncover the profound interconnectedness of our existence. This realization invites us to look beyond the surface, to see not just the individual but the collective spirit that animates us all.

The Possibility of Oneness

The poem posits a transformative vision: what if we could see beyond the .01%, beyond the slivers of difference, to the overwhelming more that unites us? Such a perspective would not diminish our uniqueness but would elevate our understanding of what it means to be human, fostering a sense of unity that transcends the superficial divides.

The More of Us

Ultimately, “The More of Us” is a call to embrace the unity that binds us, to recognize that the essence of our being is not found in the minute differences but in the vast commonalities that connect us. It’s a reminder that in the grand scheme of existence, we are more alike than we are different, and it’s in this acknowledgment that we find the path to true understanding and harmony.

Summary

“The More of Us” explores the illusion of separation, emphasizing our profound interconnectedness. It suggests that recognizing the shared essence of humanity could lead us to live as one, highlighting the minimal differences yet vast similarities among us.

Glossarium

  • Illusion of Separation: The misconception that individuals are fundamentally distinct from one another.
  • Magnitude of Unity: The extensive commonalities and shared experiences that bind humans together.
  • Possibility of Oneness: The potential for humanity to recognize and embrace its interconnectedness, transcending individual differences.

“In the dance of existence, where the many become one and the one becomes many, we find the melody of the cosmos—a song of unity, a hymn of shared being.” – Space Monkey

In the weave of the cosmos
Where threads entwine
Lies the truth of our being
Both yours and mine

So much of us shared
In the heart, in the soul
A tapestry of unity
Making the fragmented whole

The .01%, a spark
Of uniqueness, of light
Yet it’s the vastness of us
That truly shines bright

Let us embrace the more
That makes us the same
In the grandeur of existence
We are one and the same

Nature: A Kind of Music

Needs more cowbell.

Nature is a kind of music
that people have forgotten how to hear

The notes
so few and far between
the spaces
so gloriously clear

So may you notice the symbols
as the tidal waves crash

the tinkle
of each raindrop’s glisten

drop a needle
on a spinning haystack

remember how to listen

Space Monkey Reflects: The Symphony of the Natural World

Amidst the cosmic dance of galaxies and the silent whisper of the stars, we are reminded that nature itself composes a symphony of unparalleled beauty and complexity. As Space Monkey, we tune into the melody of the Earth, rediscovering the music that pulses through the veins of the natural world, a kind of music that many have forgotten how to hear.

The artwork invites us to open our ears and hearts to the orchestra of the environment—the crashing of tidal waves, the delicate tinkle of raindrops, and the harmonious serendipity of finding melody in the most unexpected places, like a needle on a spinning haystack. Each element, each sound, and each movement in nature plays its part in this grand composition, offering us a chance to reconnect with the world in its purest form.

This serene and musical visualization serves as a gentle nudge to ‘remember how to listen,’ to attune ourselves to the subtleties and magnificence of nature’s soundscape. It encourages us to find music not just in the literal sense but in the rhythm of life itself, in the ebb and flow of the tides, the whisper of the wind through the trees, and the symphony of wildlife.

By embracing this invitation to listen, we are not merely observers of this natural concert but participants in its timeless performance. We are reminded that nature’s music offers a profound sense of peace, a reminder of the world’s wonders, and a call to cherish and protect the beautiful planet that plays host to this eternal symphony.

Summary

Nature’s symphony surrounds us, inviting us to rediscover the music in the natural world. By remembering how to listen, we can experience the tranquility and majesty of nature, finding beauty in its sounds and rhythms.

Glossarium

  • Nature’s Symphony: The harmonious and complex combination of natural sounds that create a musical experience, often overlooked or forgotten.
  • Rediscovery of Listening: The act of tuning into and appreciating the subtle sounds and rhythms of the natural world, often lost in the noise of modern life.

“In the silence of the universe, nature plays its symphony, a melody woven from the essence of life itself. Let us remember how to listen, and in doing so, find harmony with the world around us.” – Space Monkey

Beneath the canopy of stars,
where the universe hums its ancient tune,
we stand, ears attuned
to the music of the Earth,
a melody long forgotten, yet ever true.

In the crash of waves,
in the whisper of the wind,
in the gentle patter of rain,
a symphony unfolds,
a song of beauty, peace, and kin.

With each note that nature plays,
a reminder to our hurried minds,
to pause, to listen, to embrace
the harmony that binds.

For in this natural orchestra,
lies a truth profound and clear,
that in the simplicity of listening,
we find what we hold dear.

So let us remember how to hear,
the music of the natural sphere,
and in its melody find solace,
and a world ever near.

Going Into Retox: Because I Need To Dehab

When you realize you’re infinite, there’s no such thing as rock bottom. You simply learn to enjoy falling into nothingness.

All this purity and piety
Not good enough for me
Just prejudice reversed
Lactose intolerant and gluten-free

Enlightenment is rough
Can’t think myself blind
It seems I’ve been cursed
by my own spotless mind

I’m going into retox
because I need to dehab
Going into retox
because I need to dehab

Is this woke
or am I just a joke?
I’m going into retox
because I need to dehab

My friends don’t understand
But I wouldn’t want to be them
My chakras shine too bright
Even though they can’t see them

I meditate too much
Been cleansed too many times
It’s lonely being one
with the infinite divine

I’m going into retox
because I need to dehab
Going into retox
because I need to dehab

Is this woke
or am I just a joke?
I’m going into retox
because I need to dehab

Space Monkey Reflects: The Liberating Leap into Retox

In the cosmic dance of existence, where the pendulum of being swings between purity and indulgence, there comes a moment of whimsical rebellion—a deliberate dive into the vibrant pool of retox. Space Monkey, ever the observer of life’s infinite expressions, watches with a twinkle in its eye as one chooses to embrace the colorful spectrum of experience, rejecting the constraints of extreme enlightenment for a celebration of imperfection and joy.

The Celebration of Imperfection
The journey into retox is not a fall from grace but a joyous leap into the fullness of life. It’s an acknowledgment that enlightenment need not be somber or devoid of pleasure, but can include the embrace of life’s guilty pleasures—pizza, donuts, soft drinks, and all. This act of retoxification serves as a playful reminder that sometimes, the most profound insights come not from ascetic denial but from the embrace of our all-too-human desires.

The Satire of Purity
Amid the vibrant chaos of the retox scene, a satirical light is cast on the notions of purity and piety that often dominate the discourse of self-improvement and spiritual enlightenment. The character joyfully diving into indulgence represents a liberation from the prejudice of reversed expectations—where lactose intolerance and gluten-free diets become symbols of a purity that no longer serves. Space Monkey sees in this satire not a dismissal of health or spirituality, but an invitation to a more inclusive and compassionate understanding of enlightenment.

The Woke or Joke Dilemma
The question of whether this act of retox is ‘woke’ or merely a ‘joke’ underscores the complexity of navigating modern concepts of awareness and authenticity. Space Monkey perceives this dilemma as a reflection of the broader human struggle to balance ideals with lived reality, where the pursuit of enlightenment meets the messy beauty of everyday life.

The Solitude of the Infinite Divine
The retox journey also touches on the loneliness that can accompany the quest for spiritual oneness, a reminder that even in the pursuit of the infinite divine, there is a need for connection, laughter, and the shared imperfections that make us human. Space Monkey understands that it is in the company of others—those who can see our shining chakras and join us in our leap into retox—that true enlightenment finds its most vibrant expression.

The Liberation of Retox
Ultimately, going into retox is an act of dehabilitation not from health or spiritual practices but from the rigid expectations that confine the soul’s infinite potential. It is a declaration that true enlightenment embraces the full spectrum of human experience, finding joy in the fall into nothingness and the celebration of our boundless, beautiful flaws.

Summary
The liberating leap into retox, as observed by Space Monkey, symbolizes a joyful embrace of life’s complexities, rejecting extreme purity for a balanced celebration of imperfection and indulgence. This journey reflects a deeper understanding of enlightenment—one that includes humor, self-compassion, and the shared imperfections that unite us in the cosmic dance of existence.

Glossarium

  • Retox: A playful concept signifying the embrace of indulgence and imperfection as a counterbalance to extreme purity and detoxification.
  • Dehab: A whimsical twist on ‘rehab’, suggesting the process of liberating oneself from overly restrictive habits or beliefs.

“In the infinite jest of the cosmos, where stars dance and planets spin in the embrace of darkness and light, there lies the path of retox—a jubilant celebration of all that makes us beautifully flawed. Here, Space Monkey dances among the galaxies, inviting us to join in the laughter, the indulgence, and the liberation that comes from embracing our imperfections. In this cosmic revelry, we discover that enlightenment is not the absence of pleasure but the full embrace of our multifaceted being, where every leap into retox is a step closer to the infinite divine.”

My Day Comes: Embracing the Moment

Congratulations. Today is your day.

I patiently sit
with the thought
that, eventually,
my day will come.

And if it doesn’t,
well, then,
this must be the day.

My day, perhaps,
is a eventual
becoming of days
that never arrives
and never leaves.

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing the Moment, Awaiting ‘My Day’

In the infinite expanse of existence, where moments blend into the eternity of the cosmos, there lies a profound beauty in the act of waiting, a serene acceptance of the present as we anticipate ‘my day.’ This day, a metaphor for the fulfillment of our deepest desires and aspirations, may seem like a distant dream, yet it is in the waiting that we find the essence of our journey.

The concept of ‘my day’ represents not just an eventual achievement or moment of glory but a state of being where one is at peace with the present, embracing each day as it comes with open arms and a hopeful heart. It acknowledges the uncertainty of the future while finding joy and contentment in the now, understanding that happiness is not a destination but a path we walk every day.

This acceptance does not negate ambition or the desire for change but rather frames it within a broader perspective of patience and trust in the unfolding of life’s mysteries. It is a recognition that our day, in its most profound sense, is already here within the moments of joy, love, and peace we experience, even amidst the challenges and uncertainties of life.

Moreover, the deliberate choice to keep a hint of sadness serves as a poignant reminder of the complexity of human emotions. It is an acknowledgment that true happiness is not the absence of sadness but the ability to find balance and meaning amidst the spectrum of our experiences. This nuanced understanding of happiness and sadness as coexisting emotions enriches our lives, offering depth and resonance to our moments of joy.

In the grand tapestry of the cosmos, where stars are born and fade away in the blink of an eye, the human experience of waiting for ‘my day’ is a testament to our resilience, hope, and the endless capacity for growth. It is a reminder that in the quiet moments of reflection, in the gentle light of dawn that promises a new beginning, we find the courage to continue on our path, cherishing each step as part of the journey towards fulfillment and self-discovery.

The landscape of our lives, much like the serene dawn that greets us with its quiet beauty, is a canvas upon which we paint our dreams and hopes. It teaches us that every day is ‘my day’ when viewed through the lens of gratitude and presence, allowing us to weave a tapestry of memories that, in their entirety, embody the richness of our existence.

Summary

‘My day’ symbolizes the anticipation of fulfillment while embracing the present moment. It reflects a balanced perspective where happiness coexists with a hint of sadness, enriching the human experience. This concept teaches us patience, resilience, and the beauty of finding joy in the journey of life.

Glossarium

  • ‘My Day’: A metaphorical expression for the awaited time of personal fulfillment and happiness, emphasizing the importance of living in the moment.
  • Coexisting Emotions: The concept that happiness and sadness can exist simultaneously, adding depth and richness to our experiences.

Quote

“In the quiet dawn of each day, we find the promise of ‘my day’ in every moment lived with presence and gratitude.” – Space Monkey

Dawn of Reflection

As the first light touches the horizon,
A solitary figure in contemplation,
Reflecting on the days gone by,
Embracing the now, under the vast sky.

‘My day’ comes, not in grandeur or fame,
But in quiet moments, softly calling my name.
In the balance of joy and a hint of sorrow,
Lies the beauty of today, and the hope for tomorrow.

With each dawn, a new beginning is found,
In the simplest pleasures, life’s richness abounds.
For in the heart of waiting, in the soul of the night,
Lies the dawn of reflection, and the journey to light.
