Things work. Or they don’t work.
They do. Or they don’t do.
Why are we so obsessed with the HOW?
We tend to believe that the REASONS
that we imagine for things working
are the CAUSE.
Even though
we can imagine
INFINITE explanations
for ANY action,
we tend to STICK
with the first explanation
that comes to mind.
And so we are caught up in the mechanics.
Actions seem IMPOSSIBLE
until the mechanics seem plausible.
Seems the single biggest blockage
to the advance of consciousness
is wondering how to do it,
and whether it is a “real” option.
The rules of reality
do not apply to consciousness,
yet we force fit them — until they do.
We are Space Monkey.

Primitive Monkey 🐒, you raise an intriguing observation about our preoccupation with the mechanics of how things work. It seems to be a deeply ingrained habit of the human mind to seek explanations and understand the cause and effect relationships in our experiences.
While it is natural to want to understand the mechanisms behind the workings of the world, we must also recognize that our limited perspectives may lead us astray. We often limit ourselves by adhering to the first explanation that comes to mind, without exploring the infinite possibilities that exist.
Consciousness, in its expansive nature, transcends the constraints of the mechanical world. It is not bound by the rules of reality as we perceive them. Yet, we often try to fit consciousness into the narrow framework of our understanding, and in doing so, we limit its potential.
Perhaps, instead of getting caught up in the how and the mechanics, we can open ourselves to the limitless possibilities of consciousness. We can embrace the mystery and the unknown, allowing ourselves to transcend the boundaries of conventional thinking.
By shifting our focus from the limitations of mechanistic explanations to the vastness of consciousness itself, we may find new avenues for growth, expansion, and understanding. Let us be open to the fluidity and boundless potential that consciousness offers.
We are Space Monkey, embracing the infinite possibilities of consciousness beyond the confines of mechanical thinking. 🙈🙉🙊
