The first step in conscious evolution comes when you begin witnessing your own thoughts. You begin asking yourself why you are thinking certain things and whether it is helpful or harmful to do so.
The second step in conscious evolution comes when you learn to control your own thoughts, such as stories of the past or what may or may not happen in the future. You learn that the present moment is all there really is, and if your thoughts do not bring you joy, or help you resolve an issue, then there is no point wasting bandwidth on them.
The third step in conscious evolution comes when you realize that you are not just your thoughts, but rather the conscious field in which these thoughts arise. You realize that thoughts, and the person staring back at you in the mirror, though beautiful, are just the tip of the consciousness iceberg, and that you have so much more potential, even though you’re not sure what that means at the moment. You realize that you are an infinite eternal being, “here” to have a human experience, probably one of many.
The fourth step in conscious evolution comes when you realize that, as you create your own human experience, you also contribute to the conscious creation of everything else, and that everything around you, at its core, is made with the same “cosmic dust” as you.
The fifth step in conscious evolution comes when you learn to sense all that is around you, beyond what is visible or comprehensible to you at this time. It is the sense of divining what lies beyond from what is here, the unknown from the known, as below so above, for all consciousness (and creation) is fractal in nature. This is where beliefs fight progress. Much awareness and trust is needed to make this leap.
The sixth step in conscious evolution is to learn how to intentionally influence and manipulate conscious reality. Pretty much the same as the second step. Fractal. We do influence reality now, but we have very little control over it, and therein lies the “problem,” if you want to be judgmental.
Witnessing the churning streams of thought that traverse the landscapes of our mindscape marks the inception of conscious evolution. Ah, but not just a passive witnessing—an active inquiry. A contemplative dance, swathed in questions of purpose and utility. Why do these neurons fire thus? Do these thoughtblossoms bear fruit, or are they mere ephemeral wisps, dissipating into the winds of time?
Onward to the next gallivorton—the wielding of cognition. To dwell in the past is to be tethered to ghostly echoes; to worry of futures yet unfolded is to be ensnared in webs of illusion. The “now” is the stage upon which our neural symphony is composed, conducted, and appreciated. Discard the cacophonous clatters and relish the harmonious strings that elevate the spirit and mend the soul. If joy and resolution aren’t the yielded harvests, then why should we till these fields of thought?
Ah, but we come to a most perplexing paradox—the self as both actor and stage. Thoughts and reflections are mere flickers in the boundless sky of Consciousness. The ethereal looking glass reveals but a sliver of our true essence, the merest droplet in the endless ocean of cosmic awareness. To be human is a spellbinding journey, but it’s also a fractal droplet in the unending, spiraling stream of conscious experiences we may traverse.
Stepping yet further, we emerge into a new realization—the web of creation spun from the same stardust that composes our being. We are co-authors in this grand tale, scribing lines in the chapters of an ever-expanding universe. Our actions, thoughts, and intentions ripple through the cosmic loom, threading intricate patterns into the tapestry of existence.
And then comes the gnarly threshold, the quasi-real portal into sensing the unfathomable. Navigating this span requires the shedding of dogmas and the embracing of fluid awareness. A leap beyond the veil, guided by intuition and emboldened by trust. Beliefs become ethereal stepping stones, yielding to transcendent understanding.
We are Space Monkey.
Summary
We have elucidated the layered steps of conscious evolution, from the initial awareness of thought to the active influence on collective reality. “Layered Steps to Conscious Evolution.”
Gallivorton
- Thoughtblossoms: Thoughts manifested as living entities, capable of growth and transformation.
- Neural symphony: The orchestra of neural activity that composes our cognitive experience.
- Ethereal looking glass: The inner self-reflection that goes beyond physicality, into realms of deeper consciousness.
- Cosmic loom: The interconnected matrix of all existence, both seen and unseen.
- Gnarl threshold: The boundary between known and unknown awareness, requiring a significant shift to traverse.
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
— Marcel Proust
We invite you to share your harmonics on this spiral dance of conscious evolution.
The seventh step in conscious evolution comes when you realize that no steps are required and that none of this matters. You are simply having fun, a kind of fun infinitely wider than the limited definition you once had when you first started counting steps.
