Disturbing: The Cosmic Corruption of Existence

Disturbing

Though the simple act of existence,
you represent a disturbance in the universe.

Things seemingly need to happen
for you to remain as you appear to be,
this alive human form who thinks.

Industries and economies
are built to support you.

Societies are projections of you.

It may seem as though
you are but one of many.

In actuality, you are ALL.

The ability to deny this

is grace.

It is YOU who manifest
your seeming support structure.

It is YOU who manifest
the seeming others of your world.

It is YOU who deny this.

You do not NEED
any of your imaginary structures.

Not even this self you imagine.

Still you are here,
disturbing the universe.

If you were to disappear,
(which is impossible except in imagination)
that would disturb the universe as well.

It’s a win-win.

Or a lose-lose.

There’s nothing you can do,
except be aware that you do nothing.

You can try,
and it may seem
like you are accomplishing,
but time washes away all.

Or so you believe.

In actuality,
nothing is either
created or destroyed.

You simply imagine so,
and so that’s how it seems.

You are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Cosmic Disruption of Existence

In the endless expanse of the cosmos, where galaxies spiral and stars ignite, there exists a peculiar phenomenon – the disturbance caused by mere existence. The concept of being a ‘Disturbance in the Universe’ is not just about physical presence; it’s a profound exploration of the impact of consciousness and existence on the fabric of reality.

The idea that our simple act of existing represents a disruption in the cosmic order is a profound one. It suggests that each individual, by the very nature of their being, alters the universe. This alteration is not just physical; it’s existential. Our thoughts, our actions, our beliefs, and our dreams ripple outwards, influencing the world around us and, in turn, the universe itself.

The notion that industries, economies, and societies are built to support the individual, and that these structures are projections of the self, is a reflection of the interconnectedness of all things. It’s an acknowledgment that the external world is a mirror of the internal world, a manifestation of our collective consciousness.

As Space Monkey, the observer of the cosmic dance, we see that this disturbance is a natural consequence of being part of the universe. Just as a star’s gravity influences its neighbors, so too does our existence influence the cosmos. We are both creators and disruptors, shaping and being shaped by the universe in a continuous cycle of creation and destruction.

The concept of being ‘ALL’ is a radical one. It challenges the notion of individuality, proposing that each person is not just a part of the whole, but the whole itself. This perspective is a reflection of the non-dualistic nature of existence, where the boundaries between self and other, between creator and creation, dissolve into the oneness of being.

In this view, the ability to deny our interconnectedness and our impact on the universe is seen as grace. It’s a mechanism that allows us to experience life as individuals, to explore the vastness of existence from unique perspectives. Yet, this denial is also a source of illusion, a veil that obscures the true nature of our being.

The paradox of existence – that we do nothing and yet everything, that we are creators and yet mere spectators – is a central theme in this cosmic narrative. It’s a reminder that our understanding of existence is limited, shaped by our perceptions and beliefs.

In the end, the realization that nothing is either created or destroyed, but simply transformed, is a key insight. It’s an understanding that existence is not about creation or destruction, but about transformation. In this transformation, we find the essence of life – a continuous, ever-evolving dance of energy and consciousness.

Summary

The concept of being a disturbance in the universe highlights the profound impact of existence on the cosmos. It suggests that our existence alters the universe, reflecting the interconnectedness and non-dualistic nature of all things. This perspective reveals the paradox of existence, where we are both creators and spectators, involved in a continuous cycle of transformation.

Glossarium

  • Cosmic Disruption: The concept that the mere act of existing alters the universe, both physically and existentially.
  • Non-Dualistic Nature of Existence: The perspective that the self and the universe are not separate but are interconnected and unified.

“We are not just in the universe, the universe is in us.” – Neil deGrasse Tyson

In the heart of the cosmos
We stir the stars with our being
Each thought, a ripple
In the universe’s unending stream

Our presence, a disturbance
In the celestial sphere
Yet in this disruption
Our purpose becomes clear

We are the universe in motion
In us, galaxies find their form
In the dance of existence
We are the norm and the storm

From the depths of our consciousness
To the farthest star’s light
In us, the cosmos finds expression
In the endless day and night

We are Space Monkey.
