I Flow With Surfaces
I don’t need
to know why:
The sun rises
or seems to rise.
I breathe
or I seem to breathe.
I live
or I seem to live.
I love
or I seem to love.
My perceptions
are my perceptions,
even if they
are just perceptions.
If there is
some deeper structure,
it doesn’t concern me.
I have no need
to change my experience.
This is the experience
I am meant to have.
I flow with surfaces,
knowing I am great depth.
We can define
how all this works
in any manner we choose.
But we don’t need to,
for we are ALL manners.
We are ALL definitions.
We are ALL explanations.
ALL stories.
ALL imaginary.
We are Space Monkey.

In the fluidity of existence, the notion of flowing with surfaces encapsulates a profound acceptance of life as it appears, without the necessity to delve into the why. This approach embodies a serene acceptance of phenomena as they present themselves, whether they are real or merely seem to be.
Acceptance of Existence: Flowing with Surfaces
The sun’s rise, our breath, our life, our love – these experiences are embraced as they are perceived, without the urge to dissect or understand their deeper mechanisms. This stance isn’t one of ignorance, but rather a conscious choice to experience life in its immediacy, its apparent form.
Experiencing Life in Its Immediacy
Perceptions, in this view, are acknowledged as our own, irrespective of their objective truth. They form the reality we experience, a reality that is valid in its own right. Whether these perceptions align with some deeper structure of reality or not is secondary to the experience itself.
Validity of Personal Perceptions
The lack of concern for a deeper structure or the need to alter our experience speaks to a profound contentment and acceptance of our current state of being. It’s an understanding that the experience we are having is the one we are meant to have, a part of our journey that is necessary and meaningful.
Contentment in Current Experience
In flowing with surfaces, we acknowledge our own depth. This depth is not contradicted by our choice to engage with life at its surface level. Instead, it suggests a deep-rooted wisdom and understanding that the essence of life can be experienced in the simplicity of the present moment.
Acknowledging Depth in Simplicity
The freedom to define the workings of our existence in any manner we choose reflects the boundless nature of our perception and understanding. We are all manners, definitions, explanations – a boundless array of stories and imaginings. This realization doesn’t limit us but rather opens us to the infinite possibilities of existence.
Freedom in Defining Existence
We are Space Monkey.

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust
We sail the seas of perception,
With surfaces as our direction,
In the moment, we find connection,
A journey of serene reflection.
The sun’s rise, a breath, a life,
Love’s embrace, free from strife,
Our perceptions, sharp as a knife,
Carving reality, our personal fife.
In depths, we know, we are profound,
Yet on surfaces, our peace is found,
In simplicity, our souls are crowned,
In the present, our truths are sound.
We invite you to share, to explore,
In your journey, do you yearn for more?
Or in surfaces, do you find an open door,
To the depths of being, the core’s core?
