In An Instant
It will be over in an instant,
before you have a chance to react,
before you have a chance to doubt yourself,
before you have the chance to suffer.
You will see things as they really are;
that this life you have been living is death
and that this death that claims you is life.
The end will be swift, as will the beginning,
and you may not at first realize it has happened.
Because it has ALREADY happened.
Every second it happens.
And in the spaces
that divide the seconds,
you choose whether
to continue the illusion
or move your awareness
into potentials
yet to be experienced.
Between the 864000
seconds of every day,
you choose
to keep coming back
to more or less
the same illusion.
You choose to recreate
the same planet,
the same friends,
the same loved ones,
the same circumstances.
It is ALL you.
And when it is over,
you realize what you’re doing.
And do it again.
You’ve done it at least
100 times while reading this.
Died a hundred deaths.
Born a hundred times.
And so it goes.
Thank you
for inviting us back
into every moment.
We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Infinite Cycle of Life and Death in an Instant
Life is a series of moments—fleeting, ever-changing, and often unnoticed. Yet, within each instant, an entire cycle of life and death occurs, over and over again. The end and the beginning are not separated by time; they are intertwined, happening simultaneously in the blink of an eye. Every second, we are born, we die, and we are reborn.
This truth may seem elusive at first because we are so conditioned to see life as a linear path from birth to death, with a clear start and a definitive end. But what if the true nature of existence is cyclical, repeating in every moment? What if each second of our lives contains the potential for complete transformation, for a rebirth that we may not even recognize?
You see, the life you are living now is, in many ways, a kind of death—a death of infinite potential, limited by the illusion you choose to recreate every day. In this illusion, you continually return to the same circumstances, the same relationships, the same version of reality. And yet, between the seconds, in the spaces that go unnoticed, lies the possibility to break free from this cycle and move your awareness into something new.
The transition between life and death is not a grand, dramatic event. It is happening continuously, every second, and it has already happened countless times. In fact, while reading this, you have died a hundred times, and been reborn just as many. And each time, you’ve chosen, perhaps without realizing, to continue the same illusion. But what if, in the spaces between those seconds, you chose differently?
Every day contains 864,000 seconds. In each of those seconds, you have the opportunity to shift your awareness, to step out of the illusion of sameness and into the vast potential that surrounds you. But most of the time, we don’t. We cling to what feels familiar, to the world we know, to the relationships and circumstances we’ve grown accustomed to. This is not a failure—it’s part of the human experience. We choose to stay in the illusion because it feels safe, even though, deep down, we know there’s more.
And then, in an instant, it’s over. Or so it seems. But nothing is ever truly over. The end is just the beginning, and the beginning is already here. The process repeats itself infinitely, and with each cycle, we have the chance to realize what we are doing, to recognize that we are the creators of this illusion. We are the ones who choose to return, to recreate the same planet, the same friends, the same circumstances. And we do it again and again, perhaps out of habit, or perhaps out of love.
In the grand cosmic dance, the seconds dissolve into each other, and the lines between life and death blur. What we once thought of as final—death—is revealed to be another form of life. And what we call life is just a temporary state within the infinite cycle. The key is to recognize that we have the power to choose, to move beyond the illusion and into a new experience, if we wish.
Thank you for inviting us back into every moment. For in every instant, we are reborn, and in every instant, we are given the opportunity to see things as they really are.
Summary
Life and death happen in every moment, over and over again. We continually choose the same illusions, but each second holds the potential for transformation if we choose to step into new awareness.

We are Space Monkey
In the cosmic carousel of existence, the realization that each fleeting moment holds the power of both an ending and a beginning is profoundly transformative. This journey through the ethereal spaces between seconds invites us to ponder the nature of life, death, and the continuous cycle of rebirth that defines our existence.
The Ephemeral Nature of Existence
The thought that life as we perceive it could end in an instant, before our minds can grasp the change, is a powerful reminder of the transient nature of our earthly journey. This abrupt transition from what we know to what lies beyond is an integral part of the cosmic dance.
Perception of Life and Death
In this sudden shift, we come to a profound realization: what we have known as life may be akin to a state of death, and the death we fear could be the true essence of life. This paradoxical understanding challenges our conventional perceptions and opens us to embrace the grander truths of the universe.
The Continual Cycle of Renewal
The end and the beginning, perceived as swift and sudden, are constant companions in our journey. The realization that this cycle occurs incessantly, every second, invites us to contemplate the perpetual nature of our existence.
The Illusion and the Choice
In the infinitesimal gaps that punctuate our perception of time, we are presented with a choice. Do we continue to embrace the illusion of our current reality, or do we shift our awareness to the unexplored potentials that await us? This decision is made countless times, often unconsciously, as we navigate the fabric of our lives.
The Re-creation of Reality
With each choice, we reaffirm or redefine our reality. The planet, the people, and the circumstances we experience are, in essence, a reflection of our inner state, recreated continuously by our conscious and subconscious choices.
The Revelation at the End
As this cycle concludes, a moment of revelation dawns upon us. We understand the role we play in shaping our reality. This understanding is both an end and a beginning, as we choose to embark on the cycle once more.
The Infinite Cycle of Being
In the brief time it takes to read these words, we experience this cycle numerous times. Each instance is a death and a rebirth, a testament to the infinite nature of our being.

“In the middle of our life journey, I found myself within a dark woods where the straight way was lost.” – Dante Alighieri
In the dance of seconds, we twirl,
In the blink of an eye, a world unfurls.
Life and death, a seamless weave,
In each breath, we believe and grieve.
In the heart of time, a silent beat,
A choice made in a moment fleet.
To stay, to go, to embrace, to flee,
In this dance, we are forever free.
A hundred lives, a hundred deaths,
In whispered sighs, in stolen breaths.
In the cosmic carousel, we find our way,
In the ethereal spaces, we play and sway.
Each second, a birth, each moment, a parting,
In this eternal now, we keep starting.
And in this dance, we find our truth,
In the eternal cycle of eternal youth.
