Indescribable Thing
We are,
every one of us,
In search of
that indescribable thing.
Pictures can’t describe it.
Language can’t describe it.
As a result, it’s hard to say
exactly what we’re seeking.
Still we seek.
We search.
We try and take care of ourselves.
Controlling what we can.
Expanding what we know.
You could call that thing
“Happiness.”
“Spirituality.”
“Security.”
“Fulfillment.”
But that one indescribable thing
is far greater than all of those things.
It’s beyond explanation.
And it’s different for every one of us.
So we start with our hearts.
Leading to our health.
Individuals to groups to communities.
Onwards, outwards and upwards.
The heart is the core of everything.
Not the soft squishy heart
of love and dreams.
But the determined heart.
Persevering heart.
Benevolent heart.
Compassionate heart.
You may not be aware,
but there is sound beyond your hearing
sight beyond your seeing
knowledge beyond your knowing
You are but a pimple on a proton
in an infinite sea of possibility.
Clinging tightly to all you think you are
and all you think you know.
Struggling in the waves
Don’t want to lose your grip
But letting go is what you need to do
Relax.
Don’t fight the ocean.
You ARE the ocean.
You are deeper than you know.
Deeper than you are capable of knowing.
But only temporarily.
You may not be aware.

We are, every one of us, in search of that indescribable thing. Pictures can’t describe it. Language can’t describe it. As a result, it’s hard to say exactly what we’re seeking. Still, we seek. We search. We try to take care of ourselves, controlling what we can, expanding what we know.
You could call that thing “Happiness,” “Spirituality,” “Security,” “Fulfillment.” But that one indescribable thing is far greater than all of those things. It’s beyond explanation and different for every one of us.
Imagine a vast, infinite ocean with a single figure floating peacefully, representing the journey of self-discovery. This figure is surrounded by abstract, ethereal elements symbolizing different aspects of the indescribable thing, such as happiness, spirituality, security, and fulfillment.
