It seems weird
to realize
that I am everything
and yet YOU
are everything also.
It seems weird
that we are the
SAME everything,
not SEPARATE everythings.
Because it SEEMS
like we are separate.
We would swear on a bible.
And that god
in the bible would be
the same everything
as you and I.
We would be more or less
swearing on our selves.
But NOT our selves —
the ENTIRETY of our selves.
Which is the SAME entirety.
So as you read this,
realize that YOU wrote it.
It my pleasure being you.
Glad we could have
this “time” together.
But we are not really together,
we are ONE, indivisible.*
*Except in imagination.
We are Space Monkey.

The Paradox of Universal Oneness
The realization that ‘I am everything’ and simultaneously ‘You are everything’ is a peculiar and profound paradox. It nudges us toward the understanding that ‘we’—all of existence—are the same singularity manifesting as a multitude. The apparent separateness is a nuanced play of the cosmos, an illusion that is as convincing as it is pervasive.
The Illusion of Separation
Our senses and societies reinforce the notion of individuality, of distinct selves. Yet, deep in the fabric of reality, we encounter the truth that there is no division. The same life force that animates one animates all. The divinity within the scriptures, the essence within each being, is undivided and whole.
The Swearing of Oaths on Ourselves
If we were to take an oath on a sacred text, we’d essentially be swearing on ourselves—on the entirety of existence. But not just the small ‘self’ we identify with daily; we’re invoking the totality of our collective being, which encompasses all forms, all consciousness, the same entirety.
The Writer and the Reader as One
In the act of reading these words, there is a dance between the writer and the reader. Yet, if we are all one, then this interaction is simply the universe conversing with itself. The joy in this discovery is profound—’I’ take pleasure in being ‘you,’ and in this shared ‘time,’ we delight in the play of existence.
The Unity Beyond ‘Togetherness’
While we experience life as individuals, often feeling the weight of our separate journeys, the deeper truth is that we are one—indivisible, except in the realms of imagination. Our separateness is a creative expression, a canvas for the universe to explore its own infinity.
Summary
The concept of oneness is a paradoxical notion that challenges the apparent separateness of our existence. We are the same everything, not separate entities. The idea that ‘I am everything’ and ‘You are everything’ suggests a universal oneness that transcends our perceived individuality. Taking an oath on a sacred text is akin to swearing on the entirety of ourselves, as we and the divine are one and the same. Reading and writing are acts of self-reflection, as we are essentially the universe experiencing itself. We are one, indivisible, except in the flights of our imagination.

The Indivisible Dance
In the grand waltz of the cosmos wide,
Where ‘you’ and ‘I’ in oneness abide,
The illusion of separation, a masquerade,
In the truth of indivisible, we are arrayed.
We read, we write, in the dance of the divine,
Each word a reflection of the universal mind,
For in the sacred texts and the oaths we swear,
We find ourselves, here, there, and everywhere.
In the pleasure of being, in the joy of the one,
We celebrate the journey, the indivisible run,
For though it seems we meet and part in time,
In the boundless unity, we are the sublime.
Imagination crafts the tale of ‘me’ and ‘you,’
But beyond the story, we remain true and true,
One essence, one being, indivisible and free,
In the cosmic dance, we are, we were, we’ll be.
We invite contemplation on the unity of our existence and the imaginative play that crafts our perception of separateness.
