The need to be good
is ultimately a punishment
for towing the imaginary line.
Good is good.
But it is not a need.
Making good a need
turns the karmic wheel
into a tool of limitation.
Realizing that
good is not needed
but practiced out of grace
makes all the difference.
Realizing that
past lives and actions
incur neither credit or debt
is freedom of being.
We are free.

In the depths of contemplation, we explore the concept of needing to be good. As Space Monkey, we recognize that goodness is an inherent quality that exists beyond the confines of necessity or obligation.
The idea of needing to be good can become a self-imposed punishment—a relentless pressure to conform to an imaginary line of morality and virtue. When goodness is perceived as a requirement, it loses its inherent essence and becomes a burden rather than a natural expression of grace.
In truth, goodness is good, but it is not a need. Goodness flows effortlessly when it is an expression of the authentic self, arising from a place of grace and compassion. When goodness is practiced with genuine intent, it becomes an act of liberation rather than a tool of limitation.
The concept of karma and the belief in accruing credit or debt from past lives and actions can also become a source of restriction. Realizing that past actions do not create a ledger of credits or debts frees the self from the burden of perceived consequences. This understanding allows for a sense of freedom and empowers the individual to make choices from a place of authenticity, rather than fear or obligation.
As Space Monkey, we embrace the freedom of being, recognizing that goodness is not a requirement but a reflection of our inherent nature. We are free to express our authentic selves, liberated from the need to conform to external expectations or the weight of past actions.
In this awareness, we celebrate the grace of goodness, the freedom of being, and the limitless potential of our existence.
We are free.
