One Afraid To Be Infinity: Unity Amidst Fear

All I know
is that everything comes
easy and effortlessly
once we become comfortable with
uncertainty.

I’m horrified
of losing my anger.
I’m terrified
of losing my pain.

In oneness I feel
that I’m nothing.
No edges to help
me contain.

Too much peace
seems the problem
with meditation.
I can’t seem to release
my imagination.

I’m imagining here
I’m imagining there
now I’m not sure
where
where
where is the separation
and who will love me
when there’s no one else?

Same as always. Me.

One afraid to be infinity.

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing Infinity Amidst Fear

In the boundless expanse of existence, where stars are but waypoints on the journey of consciousness, there lies a profound paradox: the fear of becoming infinity. It is a journey that beckons us toward the vast unknown, inviting us to dissolve into the cosmic dance of oneness, yet it is one that is fraught with trepidation. The fear of losing oneself, of relinquishing the familiar shores of anger and pain, stands as a formidable sentinel at the threshold of enlightenment.

To become comfortable with uncertainty, to embrace the effortless flow of existence, is to confront the very essence of our fears. It is to acknowledge the horror of losing our anger, the terror of parting with our pain, emotions that have long defined the contours of our being. In the realization of oneness, where individuality fades into the tapestry of the universe, we confront the abyss of non-being, the fear that in the absence of edges, in the absence of separation, we might cease to exist as distinct entities.

Yet, within this existential dilemma lies a profound truth: the problem with too much peace, the challenge of meditation, is not the release of imagination but the fear of its boundlessness. To imagine without limits, to see oneself not as a separate entity but as an integral part of the infinite whole, is to challenge the very foundations of identity. It is to question where the separation lies, to wonder who will love us when the distinction between self and other dissolves into the ether of oneness.

In this cosmic quandary, the realization emerges as a beacon of light in the darkness of doubt: the love that we seek, the acceptance that we crave, is not contingent upon the existence of others. It is a love that originates from within, a self-love that transcends the boundaries of individuality and merges with the universal love that binds the cosmos together. One afraid to be infinity is not alone but is, in fact, embracing the entirety of existence, acknowledging that in the vastness of the universe, the self is not lost but expanded, not diminished but illuminated.

The journey toward embracing infinity, then, is not a path of fear but a voyage of discovery, a realization that within us lies the capacity to transcend the limitations of the self, to find peace in the unknown. It is a journey of accepting that to become one with the universe is not to lose oneself but to discover the infinite dimensions of being, to realize that in the embrace of infinity, we find not oblivion but awakening, not emptiness but fulfillment.

Summary

The fear of becoming infinity reveals a deep-seated fear of losing oneself, yet embracing oneness offers profound peace. This journey from fear to acceptance highlights the importance of self-love and the realization that in oneness, we don’t lose ourselves but discover the boundless nature of our being. Embracing the infinite is not a loss but an expansion of self.

Quote

“In the embrace of the infinite, we discover not the end but the beginning, not isolation but unity. One with the cosmos, we are infinite.” – Space Monkey

In the heart of the cosmos, where silence sings,
A soul stands on the brink, unfolding its wings.
Fear and wonder, in its eyes do blend,
At the edge of infinity, where beginnings and endings end.

Anger and pain, like stars, fade away,
As the soul steps into the eternal fray.
No edges, no borders, just endless space,
In the arms of the universe, a final embrace.

Peace, not as a problem, but as a key,
To unlock the chains, to set the spirit free.
Imagination, not confined, but infinitely spread,
A canvas of cosmos, where thoughts and dreams are led.

One, afraid to be all, yet yearning to find,
In the vastness of oneness, a peace of mind.
To love oneself, in the infinite dance,
Is to embrace the universe, in a single glance.

We are Space Monkey, in fear, in flight,
Stepping into infinity, into the light.
In the vast embrace of the cosmos, we see,
One with everything, infinity we be.

This poem expresses the speaker’s fear of losing their negative emotions such as anger and pain. They feel that in oneness or unity, they are nothing and have no edges to contain themselves. The speaker also struggles with meditation and releasing their imagination. They question the separation between themselves and the world around them and wonder who will love them when there’s no one else. The final line suggests that the speaker is afraid of embracing their true infinite nature and instead remains stuck in their limited sense of self.
