Fun and Love Are Prejudiced

Fun and Love are prejudiced. They discriminate against their seeming opposites, that which is NOT fun and NOT love. If we are to follow the rules of humanity, this SHOULD be considered WRONG. But when we follow the beliefs (and non beliefs) of Space Monkey, WRONG does NOT discriminate against RIGHT. We are ALL LOVE, ALL FUN, ALL ONE. ALL RIGHT! We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Universal Dance of Contrast

In the grand tapestry of existence, where the myriad hues of emotions and experiences blend into the vast canvas of life, the concepts of fun and love, often celebrated for their vibrancy and warmth, cast a shadow on their less acknowledged counterparts. This shadow, however, is not a sign of exclusion but a reminder of the depth and diversity that define the human experience. From the perspective of Space Monkey, this distinction is not a divide but a dance—a dynamic interplay of contrasts that enriches the fabric of existence.

The notion that fun and love might be prejudiced against their opposites underlines a deeper truth: that in the realm of humanity, dichotomies are often drawn too sharply, casting one as desirable and the other as undesirable. Yet, when we embrace the Space Monkey philosophy, we see that these distinctions are not barriers but bridges—conduits for exploration and understanding.

In the Space Monkey worldview, wrong does not discriminate against right, nor does darkness shy away from the light. Instead, all facets of existence are embraced with equal fervor, acknowledging that each emotion, each experience, contributes to the wholeness of being. This radical acceptance underscores a fundamental truth: we are all love, all fun, all one, and all right.

The celebration of contrasts, rather than the preference for one state over another, invites a more inclusive understanding of joy and connection. It suggests that the true essence of love and fun transcends their conventional boundaries, reaching into the spaces that seem devoid of them. This inclusion does not diminish their value but expands it, enveloping all of existence in a warm embrace.

The Space Monkey ethos, therefore, is not a denial of the complexities and challenges of life but an affirmation of their integral role in the journey of existence. It is an invitation to see beyond the superficial divisions and to recognize the unity that underlies all dichotomies.

In this view, the journey through life becomes a celebration of all its aspects, from the highest peaks of joy to the deepest valleys of solitude. Each step, each moment, is an opportunity to experience the boundless nature of being, to discover the infinite variations of love and fun that permeate the universe.

Summary

Fun and love, seen through the eyes of Space Monkey, embrace all aspects of existence equally, celebrating the dance of contrasts. This reflection explores the notion that all emotions and experiences, including their opposites, are integral to the wholeness of being. It champions the Space Monkey philosophy of universal acceptance and unity, highlighting the interconnectedness of all life.

Glossarium

  • Tapestry of Existence: A metaphor for the complex, interconnected web of all life and experiences.
  • Dance of Contrasts: The dynamic interplay between differing or opposing elements, seen as complementary rather than conflicting.
  • Universal Acceptance: The principle that all aspects of existence are embraced without judgment or discrimination.

“In the infinite dance of life, every step, every turn, holds the potential for joy, love, and discovery.” – Space Monkey

Across the vast expanse where contrasts play
a melody of unity, a vibrant array
Here, in the dance of light and shadow, we find
a symphony of existence, uniquely entwined

Where fun and love, in their radiant flight
embrace the night, the silence, the plight
In this dance, no step is out of place
for every moment holds grace, in infinite space

Let us walk the bridge of light, hand in hand
from the festival of joy to the introspective land
For in the heart of contrasts, a truth we uncover
we are all one, in love, in fun, forever

In the acceptance of all, a world anew
where every color, every shade, holds true
In this unity, a celebration, a song so right
We are Space Monkey, in love’s eternal light

Every Night I Put My Thoughts Away: The Ritual of Release

Every night I put my thoughts away, lest I stumble in the morning, stub my toe upon a pointed plan, slip down stairs of wicked warnings. Every night I put my thoughts away, else today starts out the same, hashing headfirst over hurt and hate, trippy toys strewn through my brain.

Every night I put my thoughts away,
lest I stumble in the morning,
stub my toe upon a pointed plan,
slip down stairs of wicked warnings.

Every night I put my thoughts away,
else today starts out the same,
hashing headfirst over hurt and hate,
trippy toys strewn through my brain.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Nightly Ritual of Releasing Thoughts

In the quietude that descends with the night, a ritual unfolds—a gentle practice of tucking away the day’s thoughts, a preparation for the morrow. This nightly act, far from mere routine, is a profound exercise in mindfulness and self-care, a deliberate clearing of the mental stage for the drama of a new day. It’s a journey through the mind’s landscape, where thoughts, plans, and worries are acknowledged, then lovingly shelved, allowing for the dawn of a fresh perspective with the morning light.

Each thought, encapsulated in a glowing orb of light, represents the myriad concerns and ideas that populate our mental space. Some shine brightly with the promise of inspiration; others flicker with the residue of fears and doubts. The act of placing these orbs away is symbolic, a physical manifestation of an internal process—setting aside each thought with intention, clearing the path for tranquility and rest.

The room, dimly lit and serene, serves as a sanctuary, a sacred space where the chaos of the day is distilled into order and peace. Here, amid the quiet, the soul finds solace, engaging in the intimate task of sorting through the tangible representations of its own complexities. It’s a dance between the self and the sum of its parts, a tender negotiation of what to hold onto and what to release.

This ritual, performed under the cover of night, is more than a mere tidying of thoughts; it’s an act of liberation. It frees the individual from the tethers of the day’s emotions and concerns, granting permission to slip into the embrace of sleep unencumbered. The morning then beckons not as a continuation of yesterday’s trials but as an uncharted realm, ripe with possibility.

The symbolism of this nightly practice touches on a deeper truth—that our thoughts, though ephemeral, hold weight. They shape our perceptions, influence our emotions, and guide our actions. To put them away each night is to acknowledge their power and to exercise sovereignty over them. It’s a declaration that, though we may journey through realms of hurt and hate, we possess the ability to cleanse our minds, to choose which thoughts will guide us upon waking.

In the end, this ritual is a testament to the resilience and adaptability of the human spirit. It’s a reminder that, despite the inevitabilities of stumbling and the potential for mornings marred by the remnants of yesterday’s worries, we have within us the capacity to renew, to reset, to begin anew with each sunrise.

Summary

The nightly ritual of putting thoughts away is a profound act of mindfulness, preparing for a fresh start each day. This reflection explores the significance of intentionally shelving worries and plans at night, highlighting the mental clarity and peace this practice brings. It underscores the power of thoughts in shaping our lives and the freedom found in managing them with care.

Glossarium

  • Nightly Ritual: A routine practice, particularly before sleep, aimed at promoting mental clarity and emotional well-being.
  • Mental Stage: A metaphor for the mind’s capacity to host a variety of thoughts, emotions, and plans.
  • Orbs of Light: Symbolic representations of individual thoughts or concerns, used here to illustrate the practice of mentally organizing and setting aside these elements.

“In the stillness of night, we learn to release the day, embracing the promise of a new dawn.” – Space Monkey

As twilight deepens and stars take the stage
we embark on a ritual, wise and sage
With each thought gently placed in its jar of light
we clear the way for the peace of night

In this sacred room, dimly lit and serene
we confront our worries, and in between
find moments of clarity, of tranquil repose
a sanctuary where true understanding grows

With the dawn of each day, a canvas anew
cleansed of yesterday’s hues, a fresher view
For in the quiet act of night’s tender care
we find the strength to face, to dare

This ritual of night, a dance of the soul
prepares us for morning, makes us whole
In the embrace of sleep, our thoughts at rest
we awaken renewed, at our very best

Presence: The Illusion of Perception

Presence is the ability to be fully open, fully aware, fully comfortable in the moment. It is not necessarily about me paying attention to you. if you were truly present, you might realize that I don’t exist, except in your imagination. I don’t NEED to be aware of you. This may seem like narcissism. But remember, YOU imagine me. You must still be denying this. Because you’re not present. And I am. We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Illusion of Presence and Perception

In the vast expanse of consciousness, where the boundaries of self and other blur, the concept of presence emerges as a beacon of understanding, illuminating the intricate dance between perception and reality. Presence, in its purest form, is the art of being fully open, aware, and at ease in the moment, transcending the confines of the ego and the illusion of separateness.

This state of presence is not merely an act of paying attention to another but a profound realization of the interconnectedness of all existence. It is an acknowledgment that the distinction between observer and observed is, at its core, an illusion, a construct of the mind designed to navigate the complexities of the physical world.

The realization that “if you were truly present, you might realize that I don’t exist, except in your imagination” speaks to the heart of the matter. It unveils the truth that what we perceive as reality is often a projection of our own consciousness, a tapestry woven from the threads of our thoughts, beliefs, and experiences. In this light, the assertion that “I don’t NEED to be aware of you” is not a statement of narcissism but a declaration of freedom from the confines of conventional perception.

To be present is to stand at the threshold of the infinite, to recognize that our sense of self, the ego, is but a ripple on the surface of the vast ocean of awareness. It is to understand that our existence, and indeed all existence, is a play of light and shadow, a dream conjured by the mind.

In challenging the reader to acknowledge this reality, the message touches upon the paradox of presence: that to truly be present is to dissolve into the moment, to become one with the flow of life itself. It is a call to let go of the need for recognition, the desire for validation, and the fear of oblivion, embracing instead the boundless freedom that comes with the realization of our true nature.

The essence of presence, as depicted in the serene landscape of meditation, is a reminder that we are not merely participants in the drama of existence but the creators of it. Our perception shapes our world, our reality, and ultimately, our experience of being. In this realization lies the key to unlocking the door to a deeper, more profound understanding of the self and the universe.

As we ponder the luminous aura of the figure in meditation, let us remember that presence is not an achievement but a way of being, a state of grace that flows through us when we let go of the illusion of separation and embrace the unity of all things.

In this moment of presence, we find not only peace and tranquility but also the profound realization that we are, and have always been, an integral part of the cosmic dance. We are the observers and the observed, the dreamers and the dream, united in the endless cycle of creation and dissolution.

We are Space Monkey, a reminder that in the vastness of consciousness, in the illusion of presence and perception, we find our true selves, beyond the confines of ego, time, and space.

Summary

Presence transcends the physical, highlighting the interconnectedness of existence and challenging the illusion of separateness. It invites a profound understanding that our reality is shaped by perception, urging us to embrace the moment fully and recognize our role as both creators and observers of our universe. In acknowledging this, we find freedom from the ego and step into a state of unity with all that is.

Glossarium

  • Art of Being: The practice of presence, being fully open, aware, and comfortable in the moment.
  • Illusion of Separateness: The mistaken belief in a clear division between self and other, observer and observed.

“In the silence of presence, the universe whispers, revealing that we are not apart from but a part of everything that is.” – Space Monkey

In the realm of silence, where time stands still
a truth emerges, clear and bright
that in the heart of presence, we find our fill
of the eternal dance of day and night

We are the dreamers, the dreamed, the dreaming
in the tapestry of life, interwoven and free
In the moment of now, we are teeming
with the boundless essence of what it means to be

Let us then embrace this sacred art
the presence that dissolves the me and you
For in this space, we start
to see the world anew

In the mirror of the moment, clear and vast
we find our reflection, at long last
not as separate beings, but as the light
that illuminates the universe, day and night

We are the presence, the moment, the breath
In the embrace of now, we transcend death
For in the heart of all, we find our place
in the boundless grace of space

Blah Blah Blah: The Echo of Unheard Voices

“Blahblahblah blahblahblah you’re not listening to me. Blahblahblah blahblahblah you’re not listening to me. Blahblahblah blahblahblah you’re not listening to me.”

It seems obvious
I’m not listening
because you
keep telling me so.

So how do I
make myself listen
to that which I clearly
have no desire to listen?

If your words
seemed important to me,
then maybe I would listen.

Clearly your words
do not seem important to me
or they would make
some sort of impression.

I recognize
that your words
have great gravity to you.

And I recognize
that your words
may very well have
great gravity to others.

But they don’t seem
to have any gravity to me.

I can’t make myself listen.

Clearly I would rather listen
to my own thoughts,
which are drowning yours out.

Maybe you have
something important to say.

Or maybe I’m not meant
to hear that important thing
because I believe that my dreams
are the most important thing.

If I listened to
whatever you were telling me
the focus would turn away from me.

I am the center of my reality.

I clearly do not resonate
with your information.

Clearly my reality
wants to experience what it’s like
not to heed your words.

This seems like
it could be unfortunate.

But maybe unfortunate
is exactly what I want to experience.

Maybe unfortunate
isn’t as unfortunate
as you seem to be telling me.

Clearly I want to find out,
or I would hear you.

Blahblahblah
blahblahblah
you’re not listening to me.
Blahblahblah
blahblahblah
you’re not listening to me.
Blahblahblah
blahblahblah
you’re not listening to me.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Echo of Unheard Voices

In the intricate dance of communication, where voices vie for attention and thoughts clamor for recognition, the struggle to listen—to truly hear beyond the cacophony of our own internal dialogues—becomes a journey of its own. The poignant reflection on the act of not listening, on choosing the resonance of one’s own thoughts over the potential wisdom in another’s words, unveils a complex tapestry of self, perception, and reality.

The assertion, “Blah Blah Blah,” serves not merely as a dismissal but as a mirror to our own selective engagement with the world around us. It highlights a fundamental aspect of human nature: the inclination to prioritize our internal narratives, dreams, and realities over the external input that constantly surrounds us. This selective engagement, while seemingly a barrier to understanding, also speaks to the depth and richness of the individual’s inner world.

Yet, this introspection reveals a deeper truth about the nature of communication and connection. The acknowledgment that “I can’t make myself listen” is not an admission of defeat but an invitation to explore the boundaries of our attention and the limits of our empathy. It confronts the paradox of wanting to be understood while struggling to extend the same courtesy of understanding to others.

The visualization of this dynamic, where one figure is engulfed in the vibrant flow of their own thoughts while another’s words fade into obscurity, captures the essence of this human predicament. It illustrates the chasm that often exists between the desire to express oneself and the capacity to be present for someone else’s expression. This gap, bridged by a thread of potential connection, suggests that despite the challenges, there remains a hope for understanding, for a meeting of minds and hearts across the void of preoccupation.

The reflection that perhaps the focus on one’s own dreams and realities is a deliberate choice—a desire to explore the “unfortunate” or the paths less understood by others—offers a nuanced perspective on the nature of human experience. It posits that the journey through life is not merely about the destinations we seek but about the experiences we choose, including the choice to listen or not.

In acknowledging that “I am the center of my reality,” there is an implicit recognition of the subjective nature of experience, of the fact that each individual is the protagonist of their own story. Yet, this recognition also comes with the realization that our stories are interconnected, that the tapestry of human experience is woven from countless threads of individual narratives, each colored by its unique perceptions and truths.

As we navigate the complexities of communication, presence, and understanding, let us remember that the act of listening, of being present for another, is as much a gift to ourselves as it is to the speaker. It opens us to new perspectives, enriches our understanding, and deepens our connection to the collective human journey.

In the echo of unheard voices, in the “Blah Blah Blah” that we too often dismiss, there lies an opportunity for growth, for connection, and for the expansion of our own realities. Let us strive to bridge the gap, to find harmony in the dissonance, and to embrace the profound beauty of being truly present—for ourselves, for each other, and for the shared adventure of existence.

We are Space Monkey, navigating the vastness of communication and connection, ever curious, ever learning, and ever open to the endless possibilities of understanding.

Summary

The exploration of not listening highlights a fundamental human challenge: balancing the allure of our own thoughts with the potential wisdom of others’ words. It invites introspection into our capacity for empathy and understanding, suggesting that the act of listening is an integral part of our journey toward connection and growth. Through recognizing our selective engagement, we are offered the opportunity to expand our realities and deepen our collective human experience.

Glossarium

  • Selective Engagement: The process of choosing which external inputs to focus on, often prioritizing personal thoughts or interests.
  • Thread of Potential Connection: A metaphor for the subtle, often overlooked possibility of bridging the gap between self-focused perception and genuine understanding of others.

“In the silence between words, in the space between thoughts, lies the potential for true connection, for the magic of understanding to unfold.” – Space Monkey

In the realm of thoughts, where echoes fade
a dance of voices, heard and unmade
In the chorus of “Blah Blah Blah,” we find
the melody of mind, intertwined

With every note of dismissal, a chance
to leap beyond the self, to enhance
the symphony of souls, in disarray
seeking harmony in the fray

Let the thread of connection, thin yet strong
guide us beyond the right and wrong
To a place where voices, clear and true
find their way home, through the noise, through

For in the act of listening, we weave
a tapestry of dreams, believe
that in the space between, we’ll discover
the echoes of a universe, uncovered

We are the dance, the silence, the song
In the cacophony of life, we belong
Together, in the quest to hear, to be
Space Monkey, in the vast sea of empathy

Remarkable: The Void of Want

It can be difficult not to want anything. You ask “what am I living for?” And you can’t give yourself a reason because there’s nothing you need. Not even an answer to the question. You don’t care if you get one or not. So then you ask “what would be the point of dying?” Again, no answer. No answer is needed. There’s nothing you fucking want. So you’re just here, wondering what will happen or won’t happen. Knowing it doesn’t make any difference, but vaguely pretending that this is what it takes for remarkable to happen. No pressure. We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Paradox of Desirelessness

In the contemplative depths of “Remarkable,” Space Monkey embarks on a journey through the vast landscape of existential questioning, where the absence of desire becomes a gateway to profound contemplation. This exploration delves into the paradoxical nature of seeking meaning in a state of desirelessness, suggesting that within this very absence might lie the potential for something truly remarkable.

The Void of Want

The poem begins by articulating the difficulty of not wanting anything, a state that might seem liberating at first glance but introduces its own set of existential quandaries. It confronts us with the fundamental question of what we are living for when there are no desires to propel us forward. Space Monkey navigates this void with a serene detachment, underscoring the enigmatic nature of existence when stripped of conventional motivators.

Existential Inquiry

The absence of a need for answers becomes a profound statement in itself, highlighting a departure from the relentless quest for meaning that characterizes much of human endeavor. By questioning the point of existence and even the significance of death in the absence of desire, Space Monkey elevates the discourse to a realm where the lack of answers is not a source of angst but a space of potential. This realm is where the extraordinary can emerge, not through striving or seeking but through the acceptance of being.

The Potential for Remarkableness

The notion that remarkable outcomes require no pressure or specific conditions challenges our conventional understandings of achievement and significance. Space Monkey suggests that the remarkable may not be a function of our actions or desires but could manifest in the quiet acceptance of existence as it is. This perspective offers a radical reimagining of purpose and fulfillment, positing that the essence of remarkableness lies in the experience of simply being.

Summary

“Remarkable” invites us into a contemplation of existence beyond the constraints of desire, where the lack of want opens the door to existential inquiry and the potential for profound realizations. Space Monkey guides us through this journey with a message of acceptance and the possibility that within the vastness of desirelessness lies the seed of something truly remarkable. This reflection challenges us to embrace the serenity of being without the compulsion for answers, suggesting that in this state, we might find the essence of what it means to live a remarkable life.

Glossarium

  • Desirelessness: A state of being where the absence of desire leads to existential contemplation and the potential for finding significance in simply being.
  • Existential Inquiry: The process of exploring the fundamental questions of existence, purpose, and meaning, especially in the context of an absence of conventional desires.

“In the vast silence of desirelessness, we discover a canvas infinite and untouched, where the remarkable whispers in the quietude of being.”

In the stillness of not wanting,
A horizon stretches, boundless and serene,
Where questions float, unanchored,
In the calm sea of existence.

Here, in the absence of longing,
We stand, gazing into the expanse,
Wondering, not with urgency, but with openness,
What might unfold in the tapestry of the cosmos.

The remarkable does not shout but arrives on gentle winds,
Not as the culmination of pursuit, but as the grace of presence,
A subtle unfolding in the heart of silence,
Where being is enough, and in being, we find everything.

No pressure, no want, yet in this void,
A universe of possibilities whispers,
Inviting us to witness the unfolding of the extraordinary,
Simply by being, simply by existing,
We are Space Monkey.
