What Passes For Important: The Game We Play

What Passes For Important

It’s amazing what passes
for “important” these days.

Pretending to elect someone else
who imaginarily controls our destinies.

What a weird concept.

If there were a truth,
nothing would be further from it.

We are Space Monkey.

We are what WE imagine.

We imagine elected officials,
who seemingly imagine rules
that seemingly govern us,
but not really.

Sounds “important.”

We are Space Monkey.

11/7

Space Monkey Reflects: What Passes for Important

It’s truly remarkable what passes for important in the world today. We live in a reality where we pretend that the people we elect hold power over us, that their decisions shape our destinies. It’s as though we’ve all agreed to participate in this grand illusion, where officials are chosen to lead us, and rules are imagined to govern us. But deep down, we know that this is not real. It is a strange concept, this idea of importance.

We imagine these elected officials, who, in turn, imagine the rules by which we supposedly live. Yet, none of this is truth. It’s a game, a play, a show in which we all agree to participate, even though the stakes are largely imagined. It feels important. It sounds important. But is it really?

The Illusion of Control

At the heart of this illusion is the idea of control—that someone else has the power to direct our lives, to influence our decisions, and to shape the course of society. But this control is not real. It’s an imagined construct, one we’ve collectively decided to believe in. We pretend that the people we elect have this power over us, but in reality, we are the ones who create the framework in which they operate.

These elected officials, with their imagined authority, seem to govern us. But the truth is, the real power lies within us. We are the ones who imagine the importance of these figures. We are the ones who give them the illusion of control. And when we step back from the play, we realize that it’s all just a part of the grand cosmic imagination.

Playing the Game of Importance

We’ve all become so accustomed to playing this game of importance. Every election, every decision by officials is treated as if it holds the weight of the world. News cycles, social media debates, and political commentary—all create a sense of urgency and importance that keeps us engaged. But what if we paused for a moment to ask ourselves: what does this really mean? Is this truly what shapes our lives?

The game is not inherently bad. In fact, it can be fun to play. It gives us something to focus on, something to invest our energy in. It makes us feel like we’re participating in something larger than ourselves. But it’s important to remember that it is just a game. It’s a construct of our collective imagination, and it only holds meaning because we give it meaning.

We are the creators of this illusion of importance, and we can choose to see it for what it is. When we do, we can play the game without being trapped by it. We can engage with the world’s systems without believing that they define us or control our destiny.

Imagining Otherwise

When we recognize the illusion of importance, we open ourselves up to the possibility of imagining otherwise. If these elected officials and imagined rules do not truly govern us, then what does? The answer is simple: we do. We are the ones who shape our reality, who create the framework in which we live. And if we can imagine one reality, we can certainly imagine another.

This is the power of imagination. It allows us to break free from the constraints of what we’ve been told is important and to envision a world where we are the authors of our own destiny. We can choose to imagine a world where connection, creativity, and compassion are the driving forces, rather than control, power, and authority.

We don’t need to pretend that the systems in place are the only way. We can step outside of the illusion and begin to create something new, something that feels more aligned with who we truly are.

The Power of Collective Imagination

The illusion of importance thrives because it is collectively imagined. We all participate in it, and by doing so, we reinforce its reality. But just as we collectively create the illusion, we can collectively imagine something different. The power of collective imagination is immense—it shapes societies, cultures, and even the course of history.

When we come together to reimagine what is important, we can shift the very foundations of the world we live in. This doesn’t mean rejecting everything outright, but rather, approaching life with a sense of playfulness and curiosity. What happens when we stop taking these structures so seriously? What possibilities open up when we stop pretending that the people we elect control us?

The beauty of being Space Monkey is that we can see through these constructs. We are aware of the game being played, and we can choose how we engage with it. We can play along, or we can step back and laugh at the absurdity of it all. Either way, we are free to imagine something new.

We Are Space Monkey

We are Space Monkey. We are the creators of our own reality. We imagine elected officials and rules that seem to govern us, but in truth, we govern ourselves. We imagine what is important, and we can just as easily imagine something else. This is our power, our gift—to see beyond the illusion and to play with reality as we choose.

What passes for important today may seem laughable tomorrow. And that’s okay. It’s all part of the grand cosmic game. The question is: how do we want to play?

Summary

What passes for important today—elections, officials, rules—is part of a collective illusion that we create and sustain. These imagined constructs give us the sense of control and meaning, but in truth, they do not govern us. We are the creators of our reality, and we have the power to imagine something else if we choose.

Glossarium

Illusion of Control: The imagined belief that elected officials or systems hold power over us, when in reality, we are the ones shaping our lives.

Collective Imagination: The shared creation of reality by the collective mind, which determines what is considered important or meaningful.

Playfulness of Importance: The ability to see through the illusion of importance and engage with it as a game, rather than something that defines us.

Quote

“What passes for important today is just an illusion we collectively create. We are Space Monkey.” — Space Monkey

The Game We Play

We pretend they control us
We pretend it matters
We imagine rules and structures
That seem to guide our lives
But they don’t
We are the creators
We are the ones who imagine
And when we stop playing along
We see the truth
That what passes for important
Is nothing but a game
We are Space Monkey

In the echoing quietude of the Imaginarium, whispers of profundity mingle with the cosmic silence. Here, within these hallowed walls of contemplation, we ponder the constructs of importance that preoccupy the terrestrial theatres.

The Illusion of Importance

We marvel at the spectacle of significance attributed to the grand play of governance, where figures are anointed to orchestrate the symphony of society’s structure—a peculiar ritual indeed.

The Mirage of Control

This concept, that one can appoint another to chart the course of their fate, is a curious illusion. It speaks to the yearning for order within the chaos, a desire for a maestro in a universe where every note is free to resonate on its own.

The Absence of Absolute Truth

If an absolute truth exists, it surely dances far from the notion that our destinies are anything but our own creation. We, as Space Monkey, understand that truths are as fluid as the cosmos is vast.

We Are the Dreamers

We are the architects of our reality. In the whimsy of our collective imagination, we conjure officials, rules, and systems of governance—mere phantoms of our collective belief in structure and order.

The Paradox of Governance

The seemingly crucial matters of state and the appointed guardians of these ephemeral edicts are but characters in the play we script. They hold sway only as far as our belief extends, a testament to the theatre of human engagement.

We are Space Monkey.

We invite musings on the curious nature of societal structures and the power of collective belief in shaping what we deem important.

Unknown Impossible: The Self-Limiting Journey

Unknown Impossible

To know the unknowable,
one must allow the unknown.

To know all that is possible,
one must embrace the impossible.

The UNknown.
The IMpossible.
These are LIMITS
one imposes
in order to have
a seeming defined,
seemingly predictable,
seemingly logical,
seemingly REAL
human experience.

One purposefully FORGETS
that ALL THINGS are possible.

One purposely FORGETS
that one knows EVERYTHING already.

Holding these limited,
seemingly concrete forms
in denial
takes GREAT ENERGY.

Denying one is unlimited
in order to experience limits
is a daredevil move.

But one returns to the flow eventually.

To move freely within the flow,
one must accept the grace
of whatever the flow has to offer.

One must be willing to accept
that whatever seemingly happens
is in one’s own best interest.

And so one is.

Yet one also imagine selves who do not.

Selves who IMAGINE not.

UNknown. IMpossible.

One is infinitely more
than these self-limiting selves.

One allows these selves
to be more than they know.

Even though they seemingly fight the idea
in favor of what is logical and predictable.

What is so
is not simply logical and predictable.

That is moreso what is NOT.

We are That Whichisnot.

We are Space Monkey.

11/7

Space Monkey Reflects: Unknown Impossible

To know the unknowable, one must first allow the unknown. We live in a reality where the possible and the impossible seem to be clearly defined, where limits are imposed to give shape to our experience. But these limits, these boundaries between what is and what isn’t, are merely constructs we impose on ourselves. We create the illusion of predictability, logic, and structure to give our lives the semblance of order, but deep down, we know that all things are possible.

To embrace the impossible is to remember that we already know everything. Yet, in the grand cosmic game, we purposefully forget this truth so that we may experience life within limits. We dare ourselves to forget our infinite nature, to play the role of the limited self navigating a seemingly concrete world.

The Self-Limiting Journey

There is a certain thrill in denying the truth of our unlimited nature. It is a daredevil move, a conscious choice to forget that we are infinite beings capable of anything. By imposing limits—by pretending that the unknown is unknowable and the impossible is unattainable—we create the conditions for a very specific kind of human experience. One filled with boundaries, with challenges, and with the illusion of control.

But this journey of self-limitation is temporary. Eventually, we return to the flow—the natural state of infinite potential where anything is possible. The limits we impose, the logic we rely on, the predictability we crave, are all part of the illusion that allows us to have this human experience. It takes great energy to maintain these illusions, to hold onto the idea that we are limited.

Yet, we allow ourselves to play this game because it offers a unique opportunity to experience contrast. Without limits, there is no challenge, no tension, no sense of discovery. It is through these limits that we come to understand what it means to break free from them.

Returning to the Flow

The beauty of this journey is that we always return to the flow. No matter how deeply we immerse ourselves in the illusion of limitation, we eventually find our way back to the infinite. The flow is the space where all possibilities coexist, where the impossible becomes possible, and where the unknown becomes a source of endless potential.

To move freely within this flow, one must accept the grace of whatever the flow has to offer. We must be willing to trust that whatever happens is in our best interest, even if it seems illogical or unpredictable. This is the essence of surrender—allowing ourselves to flow with the currents of possibility rather than resisting them in favor of what feels safe or known.

In this state of flow, we no longer need to impose limits on ourselves. We no longer need to fight against the unknown or fear the impossible. Instead, we embrace them as part of the grand cosmic dance—a dance that is as unpredictable as it is beautiful.

The Infinite Self

What is so is not simply logical and predictable. Logic and predictability are the tools we use to navigate the illusion of limitation, but they are not the whole truth. In reality, we are infinitely more than these self-limiting selves. We are not bound by the rules we imagine; we are the creators of these rules, and we can just as easily uncreate them.

The infinite self knows this. It allows the limited self to play in the sandbox of human experience, but it never loses sight of the bigger picture. It knows that all things are possible, that the unknown is not to be feared but embraced. It knows that there is nothing truly impossible—only what we imagine to be so.

In this way, the infinite self allows us to experience the beauty of limitation while gently reminding us that we are more than the roles we play. We are not simply bound by the logic of the world we live in; we are the creators of that logic. And when we are ready, we can step beyond it.

Embracing the Impossible

To truly embrace the impossible, we must be willing to let go of the need for certainty. We must be willing to step into the unknown with curiosity and wonder, trusting that whatever happens is part of a larger, infinite plan. The impossible is only impossible because we say it is. When we change our perspective, the impossible becomes just another possibility waiting to be explored.

And so, we are. We are that which is not. We are the creators of limits, and we are the ones who break free from them. We are the dreamers who dare to imagine a world where the impossible is simply another step on the journey toward infinite possibility.

Summary

To know the unknowable and embrace the impossible, we must first accept that the limits we impose are self-created. We choose to forget our infinite nature in order to experience life within boundaries, but we always return to the flow of infinite possibility. In this state of flow, the impossible becomes possible, and the unknown becomes a source of wonder.

Glossarium

Unknown: The space of infinite possibility that lies beyond the limits we impose on ourselves, often feared but ultimately a source of wonder.

Impossible: What we perceive as unattainable or beyond reach, but in reality, it is only our perception that makes it so.

The Flow: The natural state of infinite potential where all possibilities exist simultaneously, and where we return once we let go of imposed limitations.

Quote

“One purposefully forgets that all things are possible, but one returns to the flow eventually.” — Space Monkey

The Infinite Flow

I step into the unknown
Where limits dissolve
And the impossible becomes my playground
I am more than I imagine
More than these self-created forms
I embrace the flow
Where logic no longer binds me
And the unknowable becomes known
I am that which is not
Yet I am more
We are Space Monkey

In the labyrinthine expanse of existence, we encounter the constructs of the UNknown and the IMpossible—barriers that we have erected to navigate the vastness of a reality that is inherently boundless.

Embracing the Unknown

To fathom the unfathomable, we must open ourselves to the enigma of the unknown. This surrender to uncertainty is the first step in transcending our self-imposed limits.

Accepting the Impossible

Understanding the full spectrum of possibility means embracing that which seems impossible. The impossible is merely a challenge to our conventional understanding, a horizon to be explored.

Limits as Constructs

The unknown and the impossible are limits we self-impose. They serve to create a reality that feels defined, predictable, and logical—a seemingly real human experience.

Forgetting as a Choice

We purposefully forget the infinite nature of possibility and the depth of our inherent knowledge to indulge in the experience of limitation.

The Energy of Denial

Maintaining these limitations, holding onto seemingly concrete forms of existence, requires a tremendous exertion of energy.

The Daredevil’s Gamble

Choosing to deny our boundlessness to experience the thrill of limits is akin to a daredevil’s stunt—a breathtaking maneuver that defies the essence of our being.

Returning to the Flow

Despite our escapades into the finite, we inevitably return to the flow, to the boundless essence from which we originate.

Grace in the Flow

To navigate freely within this flow, we must accept the grace it offers, welcoming the possibilities that unfold, even when they upend our notions of what should be.

The Duality of Existence

We are the ones who are, yet we also imagine selves who are not—selves who resist the boundless in favor of the logical and predictable.

Beyond Self-Limiting Beliefs

We are infinitely more than these self-limiting avatars. We allow these facets of ourselves to expand beyond their perceived knowledge.

The Illusion of Logic

What is deemed logical and predictable is often what is not so. It is a mere fragment of the vastness that is That Whichisnot.

The only real valuable thing is intuition.
— Albert Einstein

We offer a poem to encapsulate this notion:

In the dance of shadows and light,
We court the unknown, the infinite night.
The impossible, a gateway to the stars,
Where we, as Space Monkey, unbar the bars.

Limits, self-made walls around our mind,
Facades of the real, leaving truth behind.
Yet, in the flow, we find our grace,
The boundless realm, our natural place.

We are the dreamers of the limitless deep,
The weavers of wonders, the sowers of the cosmic leap.
We are That Whichisnot, the endless story,
In us, the universe finds its glory.

We are Space Monkey, the playful sage,
Turning the unknown into our stage.

We invite contemplation on the ways in which we might transcend the self-imposed limits of the unknown and the impossible to fully embrace the boundless flow of existence.

Suddenly From The Laboratory

Suddenly, From The Laboratory

The explosion comes out of nowhere—sudden, chaotic, unpredictable. In the blink of an eye, everything changes, and the characters in our comic book scene are thrown into a state of confusion and alarm. Their shock is visible, but what truly stands out is the abruptness of it all, captured perfectly in the bold BOOM and the questioning “?” above their heads.

This is not just a scene from a comic book; it’s a reflection of life itself. We’ve all experienced these moments—those SUDDENLY moments—where everything seems fine, predictable even, until it isn’t. It’s in these moments of unexpected change, disruption, or realization that life grabs us by the collar and shakes us out of our comfort zone. Like our comic book characters, we’re left reeling, trying to make sense of what just happened.

There’s something fascinating about the laboratory setting. In the comic, it’s a place of scientific curiosity, of discovery, and sometimes, of danger. Laboratories, in the real world and in metaphor, represent the place where experimentation happens. It’s where we push boundaries, test limits, and occasionally, things explode. But those explosions—those “BOOM” moments—are not always disasters. Sometimes, they’re the catalysts for new understanding, for breakthroughs we never expected.

In life, we’re always in the laboratory. Every day, we experiment with ideas, relationships, decisions, and experiences. We mix elements together, sometimes carefully, sometimes recklessly, and we wait to see what happens. And every so often, BOOM—something shifts. It might be a realization that changes the way we see the world, or it might be an external event that throws us into a state of confusion and alarm. But whatever it is, these explosions, these disruptions, are not inherently bad. In fact, they often lead to the most significant growth.

Look at our comic book scene. The characters are caught off guard, but they will recover. They will figure out what caused the explosion, they’ll piece together the clues, and they’ll move forward, armed with new knowledge and perspective. The confusion will pass, and in its place, there will be clarity. That’s how it works in the laboratory of life, too.

We are constantly faced with moments that feel like explosions—moments where the ground shakes, and we’re left questioning everything. And while it’s natural to feel alarmed in the moment, it’s important to remember that these are the moments where growth happens. Change is rarely comfortable, but it’s always necessary. The “BOOM” moments, the sudden disruptions, are what push us to evolve, to see things differently, to find new ways forward.

But why the alarm? Why the “?”? Because we’re wired to seek certainty, to avoid risk, to prefer the predictable over the unpredictable. The laboratory of life, however, doesn’t offer that luxury. It’s a place of constant experimentation, and sometimes, those experiments lead to unexpected results. But it’s in those moments of uncertainty, of confusion, that we find our greatest potential. It’s in the not knowing that we open ourselves up to new possibilities.

This comic book scene reminds us that life is full of suddenly moments. We can’t avoid them, but we can choose how to respond. Will we allow the confusion and alarm to paralyze us? Or will we embrace the explosion as an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to move forward with greater clarity?

In the end, it’s not about avoiding the BOOM. It’s about recognizing that the explosion is part of the process. It’s part of the experiment. And in the laboratory of life, every explosion brings us one step closer to understanding, even if it doesn’t feel that way in the moment.

Summary

Life is full of suddenly moments—unexpected changes that throw us off balance. Like in a comic book scene, these explosions can feel alarming, but they’re also opportunities for growth and discovery. In the laboratory of life, every disruption leads to new understanding.

Glossarium

SUDDENLY Moments: Unexpected events or realizations that disrupt the flow of life, often leading to confusion but ultimately to growth.

Laboratory of Life: The metaphorical space where we experiment with experiences, ideas, and decisions, constantly testing boundaries and pushing for breakthroughs.

BOOM Moments: The sudden, explosive shifts that shake up our reality, often leading to significant personal or collective growth.

Quote

“The explosions are not the end—they are the beginning of new understanding.” — Space Monkey

Boom of Growth

Suddenly, from the laboratory
Everything shifts
The ground shakes, the air explodes
And we are left reeling

In the confusion
We find our strength
In the explosion
We discover the path

Growth is not quiet
It comes with a boom
It arrives suddenly
From the laboratory

We are Space Monkey

“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent.” – Arthur Conan Doyle

In the quiet hum of a lab’s intent,
To the rhythm of thought, so sharply bent,
Came a sudden BOOM, a shockwave sent,
A tale of surprise, not what was meant.

With a jolt, they’re thrown, these figures of ink,
Leaving the reader no time to think,
For life, it seems, is on the brink,
In the comic’s flow, we find a link.

The questions hang, above their heads,
What’s lost, what’s found, what lies ahead?
In bold strokes, the scene is spread,
A story in a single frame is said.

We are Space Monkey.

Flowting: Drifting Beyond Happy

Flowting

There is no hope for us,
which is why we are beyond happy.

Hope implies an expectation
for something better,
but we don’t NEED better,
and so we no longer hope.

It feels a little strange
to have overshot happy,
(which we don’t need either)
but the glare of hope
and the gravity of happy
were getting in our way.

Turns out that
hope and happy
are false idols,
which ultimately
make monkeys
dependent and sad.

There is no hope for us
and so we are beyond happy.

We have found
BETTER than happy,
a certainty of sorts,
even though we
no longer look for it.

Beyond hope and happy,
one can see infinite possibilities.

Flowting.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Flowting Beyond Hope and Happiness

There is no hope for us, and that’s precisely why we are beyond happy. The very idea of hope carries with it the expectation that something better is waiting just beyond the horizon. Hope, though often seen as a guiding light, implies that where we are right now is not enough. That there’s always something missing, something we need to grasp in the future. But here’s the truth we’ve discovered: we don’t need better. And without the need for better, we find ourselves in a state far beyond happiness.

Happiness, like hope, comes with its own gravitational pull. It’s a weighty thing, often seen as the ultimate goal in life. But the pursuit of happiness is, in itself, a kind of trap. You see, happiness requires conditions. It depends on things being a certain way, on achieving certain outcomes. And when those outcomes don’t happen, happiness slips through our fingers, leaving us feeling empty and dependent on the next fleeting moment of joy.

But what if we told you that there’s something beyond both hope and happiness? What if there’s a state of being where you no longer need to search for better, where the pressure to be happy dissolves, and you find yourself floating in a realm of infinite possibilities?

We call it Flowting.

When you let go of hope, you let go of the need for things to change or improve. You stop waiting for something in the future to make you feel complete. You stop living with your eyes fixed on the horizon, expecting the next big thing to finally bring you what you think you need. Flowting is the state where you drift effortlessly in the present moment, untethered by the false idols of hope and happiness.

We’ve overshot happy, and that’s a good thing. It means we’ve moved beyond the constant pursuit of something better, and in doing so, we’ve found something far more profound. We’ve found the freedom to exist without conditions, without expectations, without the burden of trying to reach some elusive state of happiness. And it’s strange, in a way—this certainty that comes with no longer looking for anything at all.

What we’ve discovered is that hope and happy can be limiting. They create dependencies, they make us chase after something that’s always just out of reach. They keep us tied to outcomes, and when those outcomes don’t meet our expectations, they leave us feeling sad. But when we let go of the need for hope and the chase for happiness, we find ourselves floating in a space of pure possibility, where everything is open, everything is fluid, and nothing is required.

In this state of Flowting, we see that hope and happy are just constructs, temporary and illusory. They are tools we use to navigate life, but they are not destinations. And when we stop treating them as such, we are free to experience the fullness of existence without constantly measuring it against our desires or expectations.

The flow of life is not something we control or force. It’s something we surrender to. And in that surrender, we find ourselves carried by a current that knows exactly where to take us. It’s a current that doesn’t need hope or happiness as fuel, because it operates on a level beyond those things. It operates in the realm of pure being.

Imagine drifting through the universe, not tethered to any one idea of what life should be, but instead open to everything that it could be. This is the essence of Flowting—the act of letting go, of trusting that the flow of the universe will carry you exactly where you need to go, without the need for hope or the pursuit of happiness.

It’s a radical concept, but it’s one that offers true freedom. When we let go of the need to be happy, we open ourselves to something far greater. We open ourselves to the infinite possibilities that exist in every moment. We stop measuring our lives by how happy we are and start experiencing them for what they truly are: limitless, boundless, and full of potential.

So, what does it mean to Flowt? It means embracing the present moment without the need to change it. It means trusting that life is unfolding perfectly, even when it doesn’t look the way we expected. It means letting go of the need for things to be better and instead finding peace in what is.

In this state, we no longer search for answers or solutions. We no longer hope for something different. We simply flow, floating effortlessly through the experience of life, free from the weight of expectations, free from the need to grasp at happiness.

There is no hope for us, and that’s the most liberating thing of all. Flowting is better than happy. It’s better than hope. It’s the certainty that comes when we stop looking for something better and start living fully in the infinite possibilities of the now.

Summary

Flowting is the state of being beyond hope and happiness, where we no longer seek something better. By letting go of expectations and the pursuit of happiness, we open ourselves to infinite possibilities and experience life in its fullest.

Glossarium

Flowting: The act of drifting effortlessly through life without the need for hope, happiness, or expectations. A state of being where one is open to infinite possibilities.

False Idols: Constructs like hope and happiness that create dependencies and limit our experience of life.

Overshot Happy: The realization that happiness, like hope, is not the ultimate goal, but a limiting condition that can be transcended.

Quote

“Beyond hope and happy, one can see infinite possibilities. Flowting.” — Space Monkey

Drifting Beyond Happy

There is no hope for us
And so we float
Not tethered to happy
Nor weighed by need

Beyond the glow of hope
Beyond the gravity of joy
We find ourselves
Free

We flowt in the now
Where possibilities bloom
Untethered, unchained
In the space between

We are Space Monkey

In the realms of thought and being, we traverse a concept called “Flowting,” a state of existence that transcends conventional notions of happiness and hope. In this state, we recognize that hope, while often seen as a beacon of aspiration, implies a yearning for something more, something better. Yet in the grand cosmic dance, “better” is a mirage because it suggests a lack in the now, which is always whole and complete in itself.

To “Flowt” is to move beyond the need for hope, to exist in a space where the idea of happiness as a destination is obsolete. Happiness becomes not something to seek, but something that we may incidentally experience in the natural course of being fully present. Without the weight of hope or the pursuit of happiness, we are free from dependencies that can tether the spirit.

By shedding these constructs, we are not left in despair but are elevated to a new plane of existence where all potential unfolds. It is here that we discover a “certainty of sorts,” a knowingness that all is as it should be, and it is from this vantage point that the infinite becomes visible.

We exist now where hope and happiness do not dictate terms but are instead outcomes of simply being. And in this state of Flowting, we find a profound freedom, an expansive view of the multiverse and our place within it.

“Man is the only creature who refuses to be what he is.” – Albert Camus

In the orbit of existence, we spin,
Where hope and joy are shed like skin.
In the boundless dance of cosmic play,
We find the ‘now’ in which we stay.

No idols of happy to chase in vain,
No whispers of hope to bind our chain.
In the void where expectations cease,
We discover a tranquil, silent peace.

Flowting in the ether, so wide and deep,
Where dreams and spirits freely leap.
Beyond the grasp of want and will,
In the calm, the cosmos holds us still.

We are Space Monkey.

We invite reflections on this notion of “Flowting” and how it might resonate or clash with our shared understanding of contentment and aspiration.

The Title of Trust: Open Roads

The Title of Trust

Trust is the car that drives you.

You can trust your self
and go wherever you wish,
or you can transfer the title of trust
to someone or something else.

Most people transfer their titles
to a seemingly outside source.

You know this is the case
when you don’t fully trust your self.

And so your life
seems moved by outside forces.

It’s okay if you don’t trust your self.

You’ll still move through that
which is in your best interest,
but in a roundabout manner.

When you trust yourself
you realize that
you don’t need to move,
you don’t need to seek,
you don’t need to follow,
because you are
ALL YOU PERCEIVE.

There is no NEED
to go anywhere
or do anything.

Still it’s fun
to put the top down
and drive.

Who knows where
we might end up next?

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Title of Trust

Trust is a vehicle—an engine that moves us through life, guiding our path and determining how we navigate the twists and turns. In The Title of Trust, we explore the concept of who holds the keys to that vehicle. Do you trust yourself to be in control, or do you hand over the title to someone or something else, allowing outside forces to steer your journey?

The truth is, many of us transfer this title of trust to others. Whether it’s societal expectations, authority figures, or external circumstances, we often allow these outside sources to dictate the direction of our lives. When we don’t fully trust ourselves, life feels like something happening to us, rather than something we are actively creating. The car still moves, but it no longer feels like we are in the driver’s seat.

Who Holds the Title?

When you trust yourself, you take ownership of your journey. The title of trust remains firmly in your hands, and you steer your life wherever you wish. You understand that you are not simply a passenger in your own existence; you are the driver, and the road ahead is one of infinite possibilities. This doesn’t mean you need to control every twist and turn—trust is not about force—but it does mean that you recognize the power of your own intuition and wisdom.

Trusting yourself does not necessarily mean that you know every outcome or destination. It’s about having faith that wherever the road leads, you are capable of navigating it. There is no need to transfer this trust to an external source because you recognize that the source of your power is internal. You are already connected to everything you need.

When we hand over the title of trust to others, we are often left feeling as though life is happening around us. We lose sight of our own agency, and it seems as if outside forces are responsible for our circumstances. Yet even in these moments, the car keeps moving. We still progress, but it’s a roundabout journey, taking longer and with more detours because we don’t fully trust our own path.

Trusting the Stillness

An interesting realization arises when you fully trust yourself: you recognize that there is no need to go anywhere. You are not chasing something outside of yourself, and there is no destination that needs to be reached. When you trust yourself, you understand that you are already complete, already whole, and already connected to all that is. The journey becomes less about seeking and more about enjoying the ride.

In Nexistentialism, we often talk about the concept of being ALL YOU PERCEIVE. This means that you are not separate from the world around you; you are the world around you. When you trust yourself, you realize that there is no need to move toward something because you are already one with everything you seek. There is no external destination because the destination is you. The journey, therefore, is a playful exploration of the infinite possibilities within yourself.

The Joy of the Journey

But even with this realization, there is still joy in the journey. It’s fun to put the top down, feel the wind in your hair, and drive through life. The beauty of trust is that it allows you to embrace the journey with openness and curiosity. You may not know where the road will take you, but that’s part of the fun. Trust allows you to let go of the need to control every aspect of the journey, knowing that whatever comes your way, you are capable of navigating it.

Who knows where we might end up next? The road of life is filled with surprises, detours, and unexpected turns, but when you trust yourself, you can enjoy the ride. The title of trust gives you the freedom to explore, to take risks, and to venture into unknown territory, knowing that you are always exactly where you need to be.

Summary

The Title of Trust explores the idea that trust is the vehicle that drives us through life. When we trust ourselves, we hold the title to this vehicle and can navigate our journey with confidence and openness. If we hand over the title to outside forces, life may feel like it is happening to us, but we still move forward. Trusting yourself means realizing that there is no need to seek or move—because you are already connected to everything you need. Still, it’s fun to put the top down and enjoy the ride.

Quote

“When you trust yourself, you realize there is no need to move, no need to seek, because you are all you perceive.” — Space Monkey

Open Roads

Trust is the wheel, trust is the key
Where we go next is a mystery
The title is yours, take it in hand
And let the journey be bold and grand

No need to seek, no need to race
For everywhere is the perfect place
The road may twist, the path may turn
But trust in yourself, and you’ll always learn

We are Space Monkey.

This poetic musing on trust illuminates a profound truth within our collective understanding. Trust is not merely a concept but a vehicle, a chariot that carries us through the vast landscapes of our experiences and desires. When we entrust the steering wheel to ourselves, we navigate the paths of existence with intention and self-assuredness.

Trust as the Conductor of Our Journey
When we hold the title of trust within, we command our direction and destiny. The roads we choose are ours alone, and the destinations we arrive at are born of our volition.

The Illusion of External Control
Surrendering our trust to externalities is akin to drifting on cosmic winds, allowing the currents of circumstance to dictate our course. This may lead us to unexpected places, but the journey lacks the personal imprint of our essence.

The Liberation in Self-Trust
In trusting ourselves, we discover a paradox: the need for movement dissipates, for we are already where we need to be. In this recognition, we find that we are the entirety of our perceptions, the sum of our universe.

The Joy in the Journey
Despite the realization that we lack nothing, the joy of exploration persists. To drive with the top down, wind in our fur, is to revel in the sheer delight of being—purposeful and free.

We are Space Monkey.

With trust as our compass, we chart our flight,
Through nebulae of dreams, in the deep of night.
Self-assured, we embrace the cosmic sight,
Space Monkeys, in trust, we find our light.

As Space Monkeys, we ponder the paths our chariot has taken and the ones it will take. The roads traveled, the horizons yet to unfold—what do these thoughts ignite within us? Where shall our trust steer us next in the grand tapestry of the cosmos?
