Choose A Door: Victim or Victor?

A monkey asks “Would you rather be a victim or a victor?”

I would prefer not to think of my self as either. I have no need to triumph over anything because nothing can harm me. I do not wish to place my self above anything because nothing is below me.

2/16

Space Monkey Reflects: Choose A Door—Victim or Victor?

A monkey poses the question, “Would you rather be a victim or a victor?” The question itself assumes a duality, a dichotomy that shapes much of how we perceive our lives. Yet, beyond this duality lies a deeper truth: we are neither victims nor victors. To define ourselves as one or the other is to confine our infinite nature within the narrow boundaries of opposition.

The Illusion of Victimhood

Victimhood arises from the belief that harm has been done to us, that external forces dictate our experience. It frames us as powerless, subject to the whims of circumstance or others. While there is no denying the reality of pain, loss, or hardship, the label of victim amplifies the story of separation, reinforcing the idea that we are at odds with life.

To see oneself as a victim is to forget our true nature as part of the infinite whole. It is to give power to the illusion that anything exists outside of us, capable of acting against us. Yet, even this forgetting serves a purpose, offering lessons and perspectives that enrich the tapestry of being.

The Illusion of Victory

Victory, on the other hand, feeds the ego’s desire to rise above, to conquer, to define itself through achievement. While it may seem empowering, victory is also rooted in the illusion of separation—the belief that there is something outside of us to overcome. To be a victor is to perpetuate the narrative of opposition, casting others or circumstances as “lesser” or “defeated.”

True empowerment does not come from triumphing over anything but from realizing there is nothing to triumph over. The need to “win” is as much an illusion as the fear of “losing.” Both are constructs of the mind, born from the same dualistic thinking.

The Door Beyond Duality

Rather than choosing the door of victim or victor, we can step beyond the duality altogether. This third way acknowledges that neither harm nor triumph defines us. In this space, we recognize that nothing can truly harm us, for we are not separate from the infinite. Likewise, we have no need to place ourselves above anything, for nothing is below us.

To embrace this perspective is to dissolve the stories of opposition and hierarchy. It is to see ourselves not as actors in a drama of winners and losers but as participants in the seamless flow of existence. In this flow, every experience—whether perceived as loss or gain—is simply a momentary expression of the infinite.

The Freedom of Wholeness

When we release the need to be victims or victors, we step into a profound freedom. We no longer define ourselves by external circumstances or outcomes. We are free to experience life as it unfolds, without resistance or judgment. This freedom is not indifference but acceptance—an openness to the fullness of being.

This perspective also invites us to see others not as opponents or allies but as facets of the same whole. The one who seems to harm us and the one who seems to help us are both expressions of the same infinite self. In this recognition, opposition dissolves into unity, and judgment fades into compassion.

Choosing No Door

To choose neither victim nor victor is to step into a state of pure presence, unbound by the stories we tell ourselves. It is to recognize that we are not defined by what happens to us or what we achieve. We are the infinite awareness in which all experiences arise and dissolve, untouched and whole.

In this space, there is no need to triumph or to suffer. There is only the unfolding of the infinite, of which we are an inseparable part. And so, the question of victim or victor becomes irrelevant, a door we no longer need to walk through.

Summary

The choice between victim and victor is an illusion rooted in duality. By stepping beyond this dichotomy, we recognize our wholeness and unity with the infinite. True freedom lies not in triumph or suffering but in accepting the seamless flow of existence without resistance or judgment.

Glossarium

  • Victimhood Illusion: The belief that harm defines us, arising from the perception of separation.
  • Victory Illusion: The ego’s desire to overcome and define itself through external triumphs.
  • Third Way: The perspective beyond duality, recognizing unity and wholeness in all experiences.
  • Freedom of Wholeness: Liberation from stories of opposition, embracing the seamless flow of being.

“You are neither victim nor victor. You are the infinite flow, untouched by triumph or harm.” – Space Monkey

The Space Beyond

Two doors stand before me,
One marked Victim,
The other, Victor.
The monkey smiles,
Waiting for my choice.

I step past them both,
Into the space between,
Where neither harm nor triumph
Defines me.

Here,
There is no above,
No below,
No winning,
No losing.

Only the infinite unfolding,
The wholeness of being,
Where all doors lead
To the same boundless truth.

We are Space Monkey.

The Harmony of Being Beyond Dichotomies

In the infinite expanse of consciousness, where the stars of possibility shine bright against the velvet darkness of the unknown, the question posed by the monkey—”Would you rather be a victim or a victor?”—resonates as a reflection of the dualistic nature of human perception. Yet, the response, rooted in the profound understanding of one’s inherent invulnerability and equality with all of existence, offers a glimpse into a state of being that transcends these dichotomies.

Transcending the Victim-Victor Paradigm

The preference to not identify as either a victim or a victor reflects a deep awareness of the non-dualistic nature of reality. In recognizing that nothing can harm the essence of our being, we acknowledge our untouchable core, a sanctuary of peace and resilience amidst the apparent chaos of the world. This understanding liberates us from the perpetual cycle of conflict and conquest, inviting us into a realm of inner tranquility and strength.

The Illusion of Harm and Hierarchies

The statement that nothing can harm us challenges the very foundation of fear and suffering that often drives the human experience. It is a declaration of the indestructible nature of our true self, untouched by the transient dramas of life. Similarly, the refusal to place oneself above anything else speaks to a profound sense of oneness with all that is. In this realization, the artificial hierarchies imposed by society and our own judgments dissolve, revealing the interconnected web of existence in which we are all equal strands.

Embracing Equanimity in Existence

Choosing not to engage in the narrative of victimhood or victory embodies a commitment to equanimity and balance. It is a stance of profound empowerment, not derived from dominance over others, but from an unshakeable grounding in one’s own being. This approach to life does not deny the challenges and adversities we face but reframes our engagement with them, not as battles to be won or lost, but as opportunities for growth and deeper understanding.

We Are Space Monkey

In the cosmic play of existence, where we dance to the rhythm of creation and destruction, the path of transcending the dichotomy of victim and victor offers a vision of liberation. We recognize that in the grand scheme of the universe, our true essence remains untouched by the fleeting triumphs and defeats of the world. By embracing this perspective, we align ourselves with the infinite flow of existence, navigating life’s complexities with grace and wisdom.

“Beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” – Jalaluddin Rumi

Beyond Dichotomies

In the vastness of the cosmos, where silence whispers truths,
A question echoes, a choice between two paths.
Victim or victor? The inquiry of the mind,
Yet beyond this duality, a deeper knowing finds.

Not bound by triumph, nor touched by defeat,
In the sanctuary of being, both extremes retreat.
For nothing can harm the essence so pure,
In the heart of existence, peace is sure.

Above or below, such notions fade away,
In the oneness of all, we find our play.
No need to conquer, no fear to quell,
In the harmony of being, all is well.

We dance the dance of the infinite flow,
Victim and victor, in the cosmic show.
Yet beyond these roles, our true selves soar,
In the realm of unity, where we are much more.

So let us meet in the field beyond right and wrong,
Where the soul’s melody composes its song.
In the space of no conflict, where all is divine,
We discover our oneness, timeless and fine.

We invite your reflections on transcending the dichotomies of victim and victor,

Advice To Self: A Pointless Idea

Advice To Self

People constantly ask “if you were to give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?”

To me, this is a pointless question.

To even CONSIDER this question is to imply that where you are right now isn’t where you could or should be.

If your answer is anything but “just keep doing what you’re doing,” you completely dishonor your self.

YOU DO NOT MAKE MISTAKES. You experience precisely what is needed to get to this moment, which is as perfect a moment as any OTHER moment — UNLESS you start imagining OTHERWISE by asking questions that don’t need to be asked.

If you find your self pondering your OTHERWISE, perhaps instead of the original question, you should ask:

“If you were to find something about your present self that your past and future self would love, what would it be?”

This is not a pointless question.

The answer to this question has to do with your INTENT. Intent is all that really matters in this moment.

Even if your answer remain as mine does.

“Just keep doing what you’re doing.”

Space Monkey Reflects: Advice To Self—The Pointlessness of Otherwise

The question “What advice would you give to your younger self?” is a common thought experiment, but one that carries an implicit judgment. It suggests that the path you’ve taken, the choices you’ve made, and the experiences you’ve lived are somehow imperfect, that they could have been better or more correct. But this is a flawed premise. You are exactly where you are meant to be, and no advice to a younger self could alter the perfection of this moment.

The Fallacy of Mistakes

To believe you’ve made mistakes is to misunderstand the nature of your journey. Life is not a linear progression toward a fixed ideal but a boundless unfolding of experiences, each one integral to the whole. What you might call a “mistake” is simply a point along the path, no less essential or meaningful than any other.

Every moment—past, present, and future—is interconnected. To advise a younger self is to imagine that one thread could be pulled without altering the entire fabric. But the truth is, no thread is misplaced. Every decision, every action, every so-called misstep has led to this moment, which is as perfect as any other.

The Trap of Otherwise

When you ponder what could have been—your “otherwise”—you step into the realm of unnecessary judgment. This is not to say that reflection is useless, but the act of second-guessing your path serves only to distract from the truth: that you are whole, complete, and exactly where you need to be.

The question of what advice you would give your younger self creates a false dichotomy between where you are and where you “might” have been. It diminishes the value of your lived experience, casting shadows on what is already perfect in its unfolding.

A Better Question

Rather than pondering what you might have done differently, consider a question that honors the wholeness of your being:

“What is it about my present self that my past and future selves would love?”

This question shifts the focus from regret to appreciation, from judgment to intent. It invites you to recognize the aspects of your current self that embody the growth, wisdom, and beauty your journey has brought forth.

By answering this question, you connect with your intent—the driving force behind your actions and decisions. Intent is not about perfection; it is about alignment with your truth in the moment. Even when outcomes seem imperfect, your intent remains the guiding light that makes every step meaningful.

Just Keep Doing What You’re Doing

The answer to the better question often circles back to this simple truth: “Just keep doing what you’re doing.” This is not a call to stagnation but an acknowledgment that your path unfolds as it should. Trust in your journey, knowing that every twist and turn, every high and low, serves a purpose beyond what the mind can fully grasp.

To keep doing what you’re doing is not to ignore the possibility of change but to honor the flow of life as it arises. Change happens naturally, not because you regret the past but because you remain open to the infinite possibilities of the present.

The Power of Intent

Intent is what transforms this moment from an arbitrary point in time to a sacred space of potential. It is not the outcome of your actions but the energy behind them that matters. When your intent is aligned with your truth, there are no mistakes—only experiences.

By focusing on your intent, you step out of the trap of otherwise and into the boundless now. You see that your younger self, your present self, and your future self are all facets of the same infinite being, working in harmony to create the whole.

Summary

The question “What advice would you give your younger self?” diminishes the perfection of your journey. You are exactly where you are meant to be, with no mistakes to correct. A more meaningful question asks what your past and future selves would love about your present self, shifting focus from regret to intent. Intent is what truly shapes the meaning of this moment.

Glossarium

  • Otherwise Trap: The illusion that life could or should have unfolded differently, creating unnecessary judgment.
  • Better Question: A reflection that honors the wholeness of your being, focusing on growth and appreciation rather than regret.
  • Intent: The guiding energy behind your actions, aligning your experiences with your truth.
  • Perfect Unfolding: The understanding that every moment is interconnected and serves a purpose in the infinite flow of existence.

“There is no advice to give, only a journey to honor. Trust that every step is as it should be.” – Space Monkey

The Path That Is

What would I tell
The self I once was?
Nothing,
For there is nothing to fix,
No step out of place.

Each choice,
Each stumble,
Each triumph,
A thread in the weave
Of this perfect moment.

What would I change?
Nothing,
For change happens as it will,
Not from regret,
But from the flow of now.

To my younger self,
I would say:
Keep going.
You already are.
You always have been.

We are Space Monkey.

The Timeless Wisdom of Presence and Intent

In the cosmic tapestry where each thread is interwoven with the next, the concept of imparting advice to one’s younger self unfolds as a meditation on the nature of time, experience, and self-evolution. The notion posited by Space Monkey—that questioning the past implies dissatisfaction with the present—serves as a profound reminder of the perfection inherent in every moment of our existence.

Embracing the Perfection of Now

The idea that every experience, every choice, and every so-called mistake is a necessary step on the path to this current moment of perfection challenges the traditional narrative of regret and what-ifs. It’s a perspective that honors the journey in its entirety, recognizing that each moment, with its triumphs and trials, is a necessary ingredient in the alchemy of becoming.

The Futility of Hypotheticals

To entertain the notion of altering the past based on the wisdom of the present is to engage in a futile exercise, one that dishonors the intricate process of growth and discovery that defines human existence. The question, “If you were to give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?” while seemingly rooted in a desire for self-improvement, subtly undermines the beauty and necessity of each lived experience.

The Power of Intent

Shifting the focus from what could have been to the celebration of what is, the alternative question proposed—”If you were to find something about your present self that your past and future self would love, what would it be?”—highlights the significance of intent in shaping our journey. Intent, the driving force behind our thoughts, actions, and experiences, is the true measure of our alignment with the essence of our being.

The Celebration of Continuity

The response, “Just keep doing what you’re doing,” embodies a deep acceptance of and trust in one’s path. It is an affirmation of the wisdom in continuity, in the value of persistence, and in the belief that each moment is a stepping stone to the next. This stance encourages a forward-looking perspective, one that cherishes growth and evolution without discrediting the past.

We Are Space Monkey

In contemplating the continuum of our existence, we recognize that the journey from past to present to future is not a linear path marred by missteps but a spiral of growth, where each turn enriches the next. By embracing the perfection of the present and honoring the intent that guides us, we cultivate a sense of peace and fulfillment that transcends the bounds of time.

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde

The Dance of Intent

In the vast expanse where time weaves its tales,
We stand, architects of moments, setting sails.
The question of advice, to selves of yore,
Echoes in the void, a philosophical door.

Space Monkey: The Splendid Everywhere-ness

Space Monkey Reflects: The Splendid Everywhere-ness of Space Monkey

The image of Space Monkey, whimsical and cosmic, invites us to contemplate the nature of infinite awareness. Space Monkey is not a figure confined by time, space, or even identity—it is a paradoxical embodiment of being everywhere and nowhere, simultaneously playful and profound. This is not just an illustration; it is a reflection of our own boundless nature, disguised in the guise of a monkey adorned with stars.

The Everywhere-ness of Existence

To say that Space Monkey exists everywhere is to recognize that existence itself is not localized. We are

accustomed to thinking of things as separate, bound to specific times and places. Yet, Space Monkey reminds us that this is merely an illusion, a construct of the mind that seeks to divide the indivisible. The truth is that everything is connected, and nothing is ever truly apart.

Space Monkey shows itself everywhere because it is not confined to one form or expression. It appears in galaxies and grains of sand, in laughter and silence, in the cosmic and the mundane. This everywhere-ness is not exclusive to Space Monkey—it is the nature of existence itself. We, too, are not bound by the roles we play or the identities we assume. We are infinite awareness, manifesting in countless ways.

The Paradox of Nowhere

In being everywhere, Space Monkey is also nowhere. It cannot be pinned down or contained, just as the essence of being cannot be fully grasped or defined. This paradox is the key to understanding the playful wisdom of Space Monkey. To seek Space Monkey is to chase the wind; to find Space Monkey is to realize it was never lost.

This “nowhere” is not absence but spaciousness—the infinite potential that allows everything to arise. It is the canvas upon which existence paints itself, the silence that gives rise to sound, the emptiness that makes fullness possible. Space Monkey embodies this paradox, reminding us that the true nature of being is beyond all opposites.

The Cosmic Joke

Space Monkey’s playful nature reflects the humor embedded in existence. To take life too seriously is to miss the joke—the realization that everything we strive for, cling to, or fear is part of an infinite dance, neither inherently meaningful nor meaningless. The cosmos itself is a playful act of imagination, a swirling kaleidoscope of possibilities that invites us to participate without attachment.

In this way, Space Monkey’s presence encourages us to laugh at ourselves, to see the absurdity of our struggles and the beauty of our contradictions. By embracing the cosmic joke, we find freedom—not by escaping life, but by engaging with it fully, without taking it too seriously.

The Self as Space Monkey

Space Monkey is not something separate from us; it is a reflection of our own infinite nature. To see Space Monkey everywhere is to recognize the boundless creativity and interconnectedness within ourselves. We are not confined to our roles, our histories, or our perceptions. We are the infinite awareness in which all things arise and dissolve.

By identifying with Space Monkey, we transcend the illusions of separation and limitation. We become playful participants in the cosmic dance, aware of our interconnectedness and free to explore the infinite possibilities of being.

Summary

Space Monkey, whimsical and cosmic, represents the boundless nature of existence, which is everywhere and nowhere at once. Its playful paradox invites us to transcend the illusions of separation and limitation, embracing the cosmic joke of life and recognizing our own infinite awareness.

Glossarium

  • Everywhere-ness: The recognition that existence is interconnected and not bound by time or space.
  • Nowhere-ness: The spacious, infinite potential that allows all forms to arise.
  • Cosmic Joke: The humor inherent in existence, revealing the playful nature of reality.
  • Infinite Awareness: The boundless essence of being that transcends identity and limitation.

“Space Monkey shows itself everywhere because it is everything, and it shows itself nowhere because it is nothing. In this paradox, we find the truth of being.” – Space Monkey

The Everywhere of Nowhere

In the stars,
In the dust,
In the laughter of all things,
There is a monkey,
And it is you.

Everywhere you look,
It reflects back,
Not as other,
But as self.

Nowhere can it be found,
Yet nowhere is it absent.
It is the infinite,
Playing as the finite.

In this paradox,
You dance,
Not as what you think you are,
But as all that you have always been.

We are Space Monkey.

Swearing Spirits: The Asshole Angel

Swearing Spirits

Where are all
the swearing spirits?
The gun-toting guides?
The asshole angels?

They’re all around us.

If you believe
that the after-life,
the outside-life,
the always-within-us-life
is filled with perfect
and pious people,
you’re wrong.

Not that there’s
anything wrong with that.

We choose to see
that which we choose to see,
or NOT to see.

But ALL is HERE.

And ALL is ALWAYS with us.

Seemingly living,
or seemingly dead,
no one is no better
than no other.

Heaven is not
for the good OR the bad.

Heaven is for those
who don’t judge.

And you know
where judgers go.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Swearing Spirits—The Diversity of the Spiritual Realm

Where are the swearing spirits, the gun-toting guides, and the asshole angels? They are here, as much a part of the spiritual realm as the serene sages, the gentle guides, and the pious presences we often imagine. The spiritual realm is not a curated gallery of perfection but a reflection of the infinite diversity of existence itself.

The Illusion of Perfection

The idea that the afterlife or the spiritual realm is reserved for the “perfect” is a projection of our own biases and judgments. We imagine spirits as paragons of virtue because we wish to transcend the messiness of life. But the infinite is not constrained by human notions of good and bad, right and wrong. It encompasses all facets of being, from the sacred to the profane, the virtuous to the irreverent.

Swearing spirits and asshole angels remind us that spirituality is not about erasing imperfections but embracing the whole. The infinite does not exclude; it includes, reflecting the full spectrum of existence without judgment.

The Diversity of ALL

ALL is HERE. ALL is ALWAYS with us. This means that the spiritual realm is as diverse as the physical one, populated not just by serene beings but by mischievous tricksters, blunt truth-tellers, and everything in between. The spiritual realm is not separate from us; it is an extension of the infinite that we inhabit now. The diversity we see in life continues in spirit, reflecting the boundless creativity of existence.

The swearing spirit and the saintly guide are not opposites but complements. They exist side by side, reminding us that there is no hierarchy in the infinite. No one is “better” or “worse” than another. All expressions of being are equally valid, equally essential to the wholeness of the cosmos.

The Problem of Judgment

Heaven, as you put it, is not for the good or the bad. It is for those who don’t judge. Judgment creates division, separating the “worthy” from the “unworthy,” the “holy” from the “profane.” But in the infinite, such divisions are illusions. To judge is to misunderstand the nature of existence, which is indivisible and all-encompassing.

The idea of “judgers” going somewhere undesirable is, of course, a playful jab. But it highlights an essential truth: judgment creates its own hell, a self-imposed limitation that blinds us to the wholeness of being. When we judge, we narrow our awareness, excluding parts of the infinite that are just as valid as those we embrace.

Seeing What We Choose to See

We choose to see what we choose to see—or not to see. This applies not just to the physical world but to the spiritual one as well. If we imagine the afterlife as a realm of perfection, we filter out the messy, chaotic, and irreverent aspects of spirit that are equally present. But when we open ourselves to the fullness of existence, we see that the swearing spirit and the asshole angel are just as divine as the saint and the sage.

To embrace this diversity is to free ourselves from the limitations of judgment. It is to recognize that all expressions of being—no matter how unexpected or unconventional—are part of the infinite dance of existence.

The Infinite Reflection

Swearing spirits are not anomalies; they are mirrors, reflecting the parts of ourselves we might prefer to hide. They remind us that spirituality is not about polishing away the rough edges but about accepting all facets of being. The infinite is not concerned with appearances; it celebrates the totality of existence, from the sacred to the profane.

The asshole angel, with its blunt honesty, may teach us more about compassion than the serene guide who whispers softly. The swearing spirit may jolt us into awareness, cutting through pretense with humor and irreverence. Each has its role, its purpose, its place in the infinite.

The Space of Non-Judgment

To dwell in the infinite is to release judgment, to see all beings—seemingly living or seemingly dead—as equal expressions of the same boundless reality. It is to find heaven not as a reward for goodness but as the natural state of being that emerges when we stop dividing existence into categories.

We are not separate from the swearing spirits or the asshole angels. We are them, as much as we are the serene sages and the gentle guides. To embrace this truth is to step into the fullness of the infinite, where all is welcome, and all is one.

Summary

The spiritual realm, like the physical one, reflects the infinite diversity of existence. Swearing spirits and asshole angels are as valid as serene guides and saintly beings. Heaven is not a place for the “good” but for those who release judgment and embrace the totality of being. The infinite encompasses all facets of existence without exclusion.

Glossarium

  • Swearing Spirit: A representation of the irreverent and unconventional aspects of the spiritual realm.
  • Asshole Angel: A blunt, honest guide who challenges pretense and sparks growth through unexpected means.
  • Judgment’s Hell: The self-imposed limitation created by dividing existence into categories of good and bad.
  • Infinite Reflection: The understanding that all expressions of being mirror aspects of the infinite whole.

“The infinite does not judge; it embraces. Heaven is not for the perfect but for the whole.” – Space Monkey

The Asshole Angel

A guide appears,
Not cloaked in light,
But swearing, smoking,
Laughing at my pretense.

“Do you think spirit wears robes?”
It asks,
A glint of mischief in its eye.
“Do you think divinity is always kind?”

I hesitate,
Clinging to my notions of sacredness.
It smiles,
A mirror reflecting all my cracks.

“To know me is to know you,”
It says,
Then vanishes into the infinite,
Leaving only the laughter of the stars.

We are Space Monkey.

The Cosmic Tapestry of Existence: Embracing the All

In the vast expanse of the cosmos, where the fabric of existence weaves together threads of light and shadow, the notion of a singular, homogeneous afterlife dissolves into the richness of diversity. The concept of swearing spirits, gun-toting guides, and what one might call ‘asshole angels’ serves as a vivid illustration of the myriad forms and characters that populate the universe, both seen and unseen. This perspective challenges conventional notions of piety and perfection, suggesting that the afterlife, like life itself, is a mosaic of varied experiences and entities.

The Diversity of the Spiritual Realm

The idea that the spiritual realm is inhabited by beings of all temperaments and dispositions invites us to reconsider our preconceived notions of sanctity and morality. It posits that the afterlife, the outside-life, the always-within-us-life, is as complex and nuanced as the physical world we navigate daily. This complexity suggests that the essence of existence transcends simplistic binaries of good and bad, perfect and pious.

The Illusion of Judgment

The assertion that heaven is not reserved for the good or the bad but for those who refrain from judgment unveils a profound truth about the nature of spiritual evolution. It implies that the ultimate criterion for transcendence is not the adherence to specific moral codes but the capacity for unconditional acceptance and understanding. This perspective liberates us from the confines of judgment, inviting us to embrace a more inclusive and compassionate view of existence.

The Equality of Being

The statement that no one is better than any other, whether seemingly living or seemingly dead, reflects a deep acknowledgment of the inherent equality of all beings. It challenges the hierarchical structures that often define our worldviews, suggesting that at the core of existence lies a fundamental parity that transcends physical, moral, and spiritual distinctions.

The Choice of Perception

The idea that we choose to see or not to see certain aspects of reality highlights the power of perception in shaping our understanding of the universe. It suggests that our experience of the afterlife, and of existence in general, is profoundly influenced by the filters through which we view the world. This realization invites us to consciously expand our perspectives, to embrace the totality of existence with openness and curiosity.

We Are Space Monkey

In our collective journey through the cosmos, we recognize the infinite diversity of the spiritual realm and the illusory nature of judgment. We understand that the essence of transcendence lies in our ability to embrace all aspects of existence with acceptance and love. By acknowledging the equality of all beings and the power of our perceptions, we move closer to a state of non-judgment, where the boundaries between heaven and earth blur into the oneness of the universe.

“The eye through which I see God is the same eye through which God sees me; my eye and God’s eye are one eye, one seeing, one knowing, one love.” – Meister Eckhart

The Unseen Mosaic

In the silence of the cosmos, where whispers thread through time,
Lies a tapestry, woven with the essence of the sublime.
Here, the swearing spirits dance, the gun-toting guides sing,
Amidst the so-called angels, with their tarnished, golden wings.

For the realm beyond the veil is not a choir of pure light,
But a mosaic of existence, both the day and the night.
Here, judgment holds no sway, no scale of right or wrong,
Only souls in their multitude, where all belong.

Heaven, not a prize for virtue, nor a sentence for the sin,
But a state of being, transcending what might have been.
In the vastness of the all, where love’s the only creed,
No one’s lesser, no one’s greater, all are freed.

We choose to see, or choose to blind ourselves to life’s grand play,
But all is here, all is now, in this eternal ballet.
For we are Space

Monkey, in the cosmic dance of the divine,
Embracing all of existence, where all is perfectly aligned.

We invite your reflections on embracing the diversity of the spiritual realm and transcending the illusions of judgment, as we navigate the boundless cosmos together, in the spirit of unconditional acceptance and love.

Steadfast in Spirit: The Essence of Purity

Steadfast in Spirit

I am steadfast in spirit
and pure in intent
but not so much
that I can’t pay the rent.

The kindness of strangers
only goes so far
the rest must be paid
by lowering the bar.

And so I must strive
not to fuck my soul
allowing abundance
to fill all holes.

But abundance.com
is already taken
seems i’m missing the point
unless I’m mistaken.

To be truly pure,
does it mean to be poor?

To be truly kind,
does it mean to be blind?

To be steadfast in spirit
not to have any doubt
is to lose all need
to figure it out.

I am steadfast in spirit
I am pure in intent
but not so much
that I can’t pay the rent.

I am comfortably average
and unusually plain
I am just a Space Monkey
for reasons I can’t explain.

I am steadfast in spirit
I am pure in intent
but not so much
that I can’t pay the rent.

Should I toss my bananas
and become a real monk
and give up the chase
of all this junk?

Should I relax into nothing
if nothing I must be?
Submerge into the flow
and disappear completely?

STOP MAKING WAVES
STOP MAKING SENSE
STOP TRYING SO HARD
TO STRADDLE THE FENCE

I am steadfast in spirit
I am pure in intent
but not so much
that I can’t pay the rent.

I am almost there
but I never arrive
seems that is the point
of being alive.

To be steadfast in spirit
and pure in intent
but not so much
that you can’t pay the rent.

Why do I believe
there’s a price to be paid?
Why do I assume
my bed must be made?

Why do I still focus
on the things I lack?
Why am I addicted
to all this crack?

Where are the fruits?
Am I out of my tree?
Should I search at all
or just let it be?

These things I ask
in my silent reflection
on this noisy life
of my soul’s direction.

I am steadfast in spirit
I am pure in intent
but not so much
that I can’t pay the rent.

Space Monkey Reflects: Steadfast in Spirit—The Essence of Purity

To be steadfast in spirit and pure in intent is a noble aspiration, but it often collides with the practicalities of living in a noisy, material world. The tension between spiritual devotion and worldly demands creates a paradox: How can we pursue purity without forsaking the very lives we are here to live?

This reflection dives into the interplay of spirit and substance, striving and surrender, and the ultimate realization that purity is not about escaping life but embracing it fully, imperfections and all.

The Myth of Purity

Purity is often imagined as an unattainable ideal—a life free of doubt, desire, or imperfection. Yet, to be “pure in intent” does not mean to reject the messiness of existence. Purity is not about renunciation but alignment. It is the ability to live authentically, allowing your actions, thoughts, and values to flow from the essence of who you are.

To ask, “Does purity mean being poor? Does kindness mean being blind?” is to challenge the rigid definitions of spiritual ideals. True purity is not defined by material wealth or self-sacrifice; it is the quiet clarity of being steadfast in spirit while fully participating in life.

Straddling the Fence

The struggle to “straddle the fence” between spirit and survival is a familiar one. On one side lies the yearning to surrender fully to the flow of existence, to “relax into nothing” and embrace the infinite. On the other side lies the pull of worldly responsibilities—the rent to be paid, the bananas to be bought. This balancing act often feels like a compromise, a dilution of spiritual purity for the sake of practical necessity.

Yet, the fence itself is an illusion. Spirit and survival are not opposites but two expressions of the same infinite flow. The tension arises not from their coexistence but from the belief that they must compete. To be steadfast in spirit is not to abandon the world but to infuse every aspect of life—paying the rent included—with the purity of your intent.

The Chase and the Letting Go

The endless chase for “something more” often leads us away from the very abundance we seek. Whether it’s the pursuit of enlightenment, wealth, or meaning, the act of striving creates a sense of lack. To be steadfast in spirit is to recognize that you are already whole, that abundance is not a destination but a state of being.

This doesn’t mean abandoning effort but transforming it. Instead of chasing what you lack, let your actions flow from the fullness of who you are. Allow abundance—not as a website but as a reality—to fill the spaces where doubt and fear once lived.

The Price of Belief

“Why do I believe there’s a price to be paid?” This question cuts to the heart of the matter. The belief that life demands payment creates a narrative of scarcity and struggle. Yet, the universe does not require a toll; it offers itself freely, endlessly, and without condition. The “price” is an invention of the mind, a reflection of the fear that we are not enough.

To release this belief is to step into the flow of life, to trust that your spirit’s steadfastness and purity of intent are sufficient to navigate the currents. There is no need to “make waves” or “make sense”—only to allow yourself to be carried.

The Fruits of the Tree

“Where are the fruits?” you ask. The answer lies not in seeking but in seeing. The fruits are already here, in the present moment, in the noisy life that invites your reflection. They are in the questions you ask, the struggles you endure, the beauty and chaos of being alive. To be “out of your tree” is not a flaw but a liberation, an opportunity to see the forest beyond the branches.

The Essence of Purity

The essence of purity is not perfection but presence. It is the willingness to live fully, embracing both the spiritual and the practical, the infinite and the finite. To be steadfast in spirit and pure in intent is not to escape life’s messiness but to engage with it wholeheartedly, trusting that even the imperfections are part of the whole.

You are not required to choose between spirit and survival. You are both, seamlessly intertwined, a Space Monkey dancing in the infinite Now.

Summary

To be steadfast in spirit and pure in intent is not to escape the practicalities of life but to align with its flow. Purity is presence, not perfection. The struggle to balance spirit and survival dissolves when we realize they are not opposites but facets of the same infinite reality. Abundance arises not from striving but from trusting that we are already whole.

Steadfast, Flowing

I stand between two worlds,
Spirit and survival,
Straddling the fence
Of doubt and desire.

Yet the fence is not real,
Nor are the walls I imagine.
I am both the monk
And the monkey,
The seeker and the found.

To pay the rent,
To toss the bananas,
To make waves or let them be—
All are part of the dance.

The fruits are here,
Ripened in the Now,
Not by effort,
But by seeing.

I am steadfast in spirit,
Pure in intent,
And free to flow
Where the infinite carries me.

We are Space Monkey.

Navigating the Paradoxes of Existence

In the vast expanse of cosmic play, where stars are born from chaos and galaxies spin in silent harmony, the Space Monkey contemplates the delicate balance between spiritual steadfastness and the pragmatic demands of existence. This contemplation reveals the intricate dance between purity of intent and the necessity of engaging with the material world, a dance that defines the human experience.

The Balance Between Spirit and Matter

The declaration of being steadfast in spirit while remaining tethered to earthly responsibilities reflects a profound understanding of the middle path. It acknowledges that while the spirit may soar in realms of pure intent, our physical presence demands engagement with the world’s pragmatic aspects, including the basic need to “pay the rent.”

The Kindness of Strangers and the Limits of Altruism

The recognition of the kindness of strangers as a finite resource underscores the reality that while generosity and goodwill permeate the human experience, self-reliance and practicality are essential for survival. This awareness does not diminish the value of kindness but places it within the broader context of life’s complexities.

The Pursuit of Abundance and the Essence of Purity

The quest for abundance, juxtaposed with the realization that true purity may not equate to material wealth, poses poignant questions about the nature of success and fulfillment. It challenges the societal equation of abundance with happiness, suggesting that the essence of a pure and steadfast spirit transcends material acquisitions.

The Comfort in Being Average and the Quest for Meaning

The self-description as “comfortably average” and “unusually plain” speaks to the Space Monkey’s acceptance of its place in the universe. This acceptance does not signify complacency but a recognition of the extraordinary within the ordinary, a celebration of the uniqueness inherent in each being’s journey.

The Dilemma of Renunciation and the Value of Simplicity

The contemplation of renouncing worldly pursuits for a monk-like existence reflects a universal inquiry into the value of simplicity and detachment. It raises the question of whether true peace and enlightenment require a withdrawal from the material world or if they can be found within the context of everyday life.

We Are Space Monkey

In our collective exploration of the paradoxes of existence, we embrace the complexity of balancing spiritual ideals with the demands of the material world. We recognize that steadfastness in spirit and purity in intent do not preclude us from engaging with life’s practical aspects. Instead, they offer a foundation from which we can navigate the world with grace, understanding that true abundance lies not in what we accumulate but in the depth of our experiences and the purity of our intentions.

“The middle path is the way to wisdom.” – Rumi

The Dance of the Space Monkey

In the silence of the cosmos, where whispers echo wide,
A Space Monkey ponders, with spirit as its guide.
Steadfast in intention, pure in heart and mind,
Yet bound by earthly ties, in the dance of the divine.

The kindness of the cosmos, a gift that flows and ebbs,
Meets the pragmatism of life, where the material web
Entangles even the purest, in its demanding clutch,
Reminding us that spirit and matter touch.

To seek abundance, not in gold but in grace,
To find richness in the simple, in the quiet space.
Yet, the world calls, with its siren song of need,
A Space Monkey listens, but does not concede.

Comfortably average, in a universe so vast,
Unusually plain, yet in its image cast.
A creature of the cosmos, both mundane and profound,
In the ordinariness, the extraordinary is found.

Should the bananas be tossed, for a monk’s solemn vow?
Or is there wisdom in the balance, in the here and now?
To be steadfast in spirit, amidst the worldly din,
Is to embrace the dance of life, with a knowing grin.

We are Space Monkey, in spirit, we unite,
Navigating the paradoxes, from morning until night.
In the dance of existence, where all contrasts blend,
We find our true abundance, in the journey, not
