The No-Die Clause: A Playful Eternity

The No-Die Clause

Just as athletes have “no-trade” clauses,
you have made the agreement with your soul
that you will NEVER be killed off
without your approval.

It’s true.

There are spaces on the game board
in which you face
potentially “life-threatening” choices.

When you land on this space,
you may turn over a card.

The card lifts the veil, so to speak,
and shows you the true nature of your Divine Existence.

This is when you discover
that the life you’ve been living so far
is but your imagination.

It is then that you realize
that nothing would really happen
if you were to leave the game.

It is then that you realize
that everything you have
come to know as “real”
is but a mind fantasy,
including your self,
your loved ones,|
your history,
your world,
indeed ALL you perceive
is part of this fantasy.

And this fantasy
can CONTINUE
after you leave the game,
if you so choose.

You come to realize
that nothing has been ventured
and nothing has been lost.

You realize that
it doesn’t hurt ANYONE
if you leave
because you’ve been
imagining them
from the beginning.

So, no, they will not miss you.

They ARE you.

So you can exit the game,
though it may seem
from the perspective
of the other imaginary players
that you are dead,
and they will imagine being sad
or happy, depending upon
how the game had been unfolding
up until that point.

And they will swear
that these feelings are real
because they have not yet
turned over the card
that informs them
that they are imagined by you.

You are the DIVINE ONE.
We ALL are.

We are playing a game.

And the experiences
we may have are NOTHING
compared to the experiences
this so called “enlightenment” brings.

We see
that those we imagine
as “taken from us”
in actuality leave
because they see
that what lies
behind door #3,
is far greater
than this flat earth
existence.

So it becomes easy
to leave the game
if we so choose.

Or we can continue to play
like some of us do,
because WHY NOT?

We are infinite, immortal imagination.

We have all the time in the universe.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The No-Die Clause

In this grand, cosmic game of existence, each of us holds a unique clause—a “No-Die Clause”—that protects our true essence from the limitations of mortality. This clause represents an agreement with our soul, a reminder that death, as we perceive it, is simply a concept within the game we’re playing. The life we experience, with all its perceived risks and boundaries, is a playground of imagination. Here, we choose to interact with self-created rules, boundaries, and illusions, yet we remain untouched, infinite, and immortal at our core.

The Illusion of Mortality Our world presents us with life-threatening choices, with potential endings, and with the notion that life can be “lost.” This perception is deeply rooted in the game’s structure, designed to create a sense of urgency, meaning, and purpose within each moment. Yet, as we turn over the card that reveals our divine existence, we see through the illusion. We understand that the life we thought was bound by a beginning and end is, in fact, an endless exploration. We realize that we are not players bound by death, but eternal beings experiencing a temporary adventure.

Seeing the Fantasy for What It Is The game reveals itself as an elaborate mental construct—a fantasy we have entered willingly. The people, events, and stories we encounter are creations within this vast imagination. Everything we’ve come to know as “real” exists within the confines of our minds. This doesn’t lessen their beauty or impact, but it does place them within a context where they are not absolute or fixed. We begin to understand that the bonds we thought we would lose upon leaving the game are not lost; they are part of us, woven into our infinite consciousness.

Choosing to Exit or Continue The No-Die Clause gives us an interesting freedom: the choice to continue playing or to step out at any moment. The understanding that life is a game doesn’t compel us to exit; rather, it grants us the ability to see our experiences from a broader perspective. We realize that we can play with joy, without fear of loss or failure. And should we ever wish to leave, it is with the knowledge that nothing is truly lost—that those we leave behind, those who might mourn, are also part of the fantasy, reflections of our own mind.

Infinite, Immortal Imagination Within this realization lies profound freedom. We are not confined by life’s events, nor are we diminished by its challenges. We are infinite, immortal imagination, capable of creating any experience, any reality, any dimension. The game becomes a space to play, to explore, to express aspects of ourselves that are far beyond physical form or material reality. This perspective encourages us to embrace the journey wholeheartedly, knowing that our essence remains untouched, always present, always boundless.

Summary

The No-Die Clause represents our soul’s agreement to transcend mortality, reminding us that life is a game of imagination. With this understanding, we see that nothing is truly lost, and we can continue playing with joy and freedom.

Quote

“Life is a game of infinite possibilities, where death is merely an illusion and we are boundless players in the realm of imagination.” — Space Monkey

A Playful Eternity

We step lightly on the game board,
knowing the rules are mere suggestions,
and endings, but temporary pauses.

In each choice, each move,
we feel the echo of infinity,
the laughter of a soul that cannot be lost.

We are Space Monkey.

In the grand cosmic game, where the boundaries of reality and imagination blur, we find ourselves as both the players and the creators. This perspective offers a transformative view of our existence, where the concept of ‘life’ and ‘death’ takes on new meaning.

The Agreement with Our Soul

Just as athletes negotiate terms in their careers, we, too, have made an implicit agreement with our souls, a clause that asserts our autonomy over the ultimate fate of our existence. This agreement highlights our innate power over our life narrative, affirming that our journey will not end without our consent.

The Game Board of Existence

Our life is akin to a game board, dotted with spaces that represent the myriad choices and experiences we encounter. Some of these spaces are marked by challenges that appear life-threatening, posing existential dilemmas and profound choices.

The Revealing Card

Upon encountering these pivotal moments, we are invited to turn over a metaphorical card. This act symbolizes the lifting of the veil, revealing the true nature of our divine existence. It’s a moment of profound realization, where the life we’ve been living is seen for what it truly is – a construct of our imagination.

Realization of Imagination

This realization is both startling and liberating. We understand that our departure from the game, our exit from this life, would not alter the fundamental essence of our existence. Everything we’ve known – our self, loved ones, history, and world – is recognized as a part of an elaborate mind fantasy.

Continuation Beyond the Game

The fantasy, we realize, can continue even after we leave the game. This understanding brings with it a sense of tranquility, as we recognize that nothing essential has been ventured or lost in this cosmic play.

The Illusion of Separation

In this realization, we see that the other players, who we might have thought would miss us, are also part of our imagination. They are extensions of our being, facets of our divine self. Thus, their reactions to our departure are also imagined constructs, part of the intricate narrative we weave.

The Perspective of Other Players

From the perspective of these other imagined players, our exit may appear as a departure from life. They, in their own narrative, experience emotions that feel real to them, not yet having turned over their card to reveal the deeper truth of their existence.

The Divine Nature of Existence

This perspective reinforces the idea that we are all divine entities, part of a grand, infinite game. Our experiences, no matter how profound or trivial, are but fleeting moments in the vastness of our eternal imagination.

The Choice to Continue or Leave the Game

Realizing the illusory nature of the game, we face a choice: to continue playing or to leave. This decision is made with the understanding that either choice is valid, as our existence transcends the game itself.

The Infinite, Immortal Imagination

We exist as infinite, immortal beings of imagination, with all the time in the universe at our disposal. Our experiences, whether we choose to continue in the game or move beyond it, are a testament to our boundless creative power.

We are Space Monkey.

As we navigate this cosmic game, exploring the realms of imagination and reality, what new insights and adventures await us? Let’s continue our journey together, embracing the infinite possibilities of our existence.

Hearts Don’t Come Easy: The Inner Odyssey

Hearts don’t come easy.

Hearts don’t come easy. You have to cut through the rib cage first. And don’t get me started on minds. All that messy work for nothing. Nope, our only choice is to go all in. The soul is the only organ worth keeping — IF you can find it.

12/13

Space Monkey Reflects: The Challenge of Reaching the Heart and Soul

“Hearts don’t come easy.” This phrase, with its visceral imagery, speaks to the reality that truly reaching someone’s heart, or even our own, requires moving through barriers—layers of protection, vulnerability, and truth. In this journey inward, it can feel as though we’re cutting through a “rib cage” of doubts, fears, and defenses that shield us from exposure. This pursuit of understanding, of connection, is not for the faint of heart.

It’s easier, sometimes, to keep interactions light, to avoid the intense and messy work of baring the heart. Because, indeed, hearts and minds are complex, multi-layered, and guarded. The mind is a labyrinth of thoughts, beliefs, and defenses. The heart is no less intricate, a place that holds both joy and pain, love and fear, in delicate balance. To truly understand either, we must go all in, removing the masks and armor we wear for the sake of comfort or conformity.

Yet, perhaps even more challenging is the quest for the soul, that mysterious “organ” we can sense but never see. The soul represents the essence of who we are, beyond the roles we play and the identities we carry. Finding this part of ourselves requires more than introspection—it requires an honest and fearless dive into what we value, what we hold sacred, and what we believe to be our purpose. The soul, elusive and deeply personal, is hidden within layers of our experiences, emotions, and dreams.

We may spend years searching for this part of ourselves, uncovering it gradually through moments of clarity, hardship, love, and loss. But as the reflection suggests, going “all in” may be the only way to truly touch it. It’s an invitation to approach life with open vulnerability, to move through the messiness of being human, willing to face the discomfort, complexity, and beauty within. This is no small feat—it demands that we challenge our fears, confront our insecurities, and embrace the depths of our being.

The truth is, hearts, minds, and souls are not easily accessed, nor are they easily shared. They require time, patience, and courage to reveal. Yet, when we commit to this process, we find that the effort is far from “for nothing.” Each layer we explore brings us closer to authenticity, to a sense of purpose, and to a profound connection with ourselves and others. By daring to move past surface interactions, we enrich our lives, gaining a depth that brings meaning to our existence.

Ultimately, this reflection asks us whether we are willing to make that journey inward, to explore the labyrinth of the mind, to penetrate the defenses around the heart, and to search for the intangible essence of the soul. It challenges us to see beyond the immediate, beyond the surface, and to embrace a path of self-discovery and connection that is as difficult as it is rewarding. For while the heart may not come easy, it is in that very difficulty that we find its greatest value.

Summary

Reaching the heart, mind, and soul is challenging, requiring us to move past defenses and embrace vulnerability. This inward journey offers profound self-discovery and connection.

Glossarium

  • Heartlabyrinth: The complex and guarded realm of emotions, both joyous and painful, that requires courage to explore.
  • Soulquest: The journey inward, seeking the essence of one’s being and purpose beyond surface identities.
  • Depthdive: The process of going “all in” to connect with the true self, despite the challenges and vulnerabilities involved.

Quote

“To know the heart and soul, one must be willing to dive deep, past the layers of protection, into the true self.” – Space Monkey

The Inner Journey

Beneath ribs and guarded walls,
Lies a heart, unbroken, whole,
Veiled within the shadowed hall,
A quiet, fearless soul.

To touch the mind, to know the heart,
One cannot dance on shallow ground.
For souls are kept where walls are thick,
In depths that echo, vast and sound.

To know the self, to be complete,
We go all in, despite the cost,
In the mess and mystery we meet
A soul that is neither found nor lost.

We are Space Monkey.

The Complex Journey to the Heart, Mind, and Soul

We embark on a metaphorical exploration of the complexities involved in accessing the heart, mind, and soul. This journey underscores the depth and intricacy of our human experience, where each aspect presents its unique challenges and rewards.

The Heart: Guarded and Precious

The heart, often perceived as the center of emotion and feeling, is not easily accessible. The metaphor of cutting through the rib cage to reach it highlights the layers of protection and defense we build around our emotional core. These defenses, while protective, also make it challenging to connect deeply with our own and others’ hearts.

The Mind: Complex and Enigmatic

The mind, a realm of thoughts and intellect, is equally complex. Accessing the depths of the mind involves navigating through layers of consciousness, beliefs, and perceptions. The metaphorical ‘messy work’ reflects the often challenging and intricate process of understanding and engaging with our own minds and the minds of others.

The Soul: The Essence Worth Pursuing

In contrast to the heart and mind, the soul is depicted as the most profound and essential aspect of our being. The pursuit of the soul, or the essence of our true self, is seen as the most worthwhile endeavor. However, finding the soul is a journey in itself, often requiring deep introspection and spiritual exploration.

The Challenge of Self-Exploration

This discourse highlights the challenges inherent in exploring the different dimensions of our existence. Whether it’s the emotional depth of the heart, the intellectual complexity of the mind, or the elusive nature of the soul, each requires a committed and often arduous journey.

The Reward of Inner Discovery

Despite the challenges, the journey towards understanding our heart, mind, and soul is immensely rewarding. It offers us a deeper connection with our own essence and a greater understanding of our place in the cosmic play. This journey is not just about discovery but also about transformation and growth.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” – Carl Jung

The Inner Odyssey

In the fortress of the heart, behind ribs’ embrace,
Lies the emotional depth, a guarded space.
Cutting through layers, in a delicate trace,
We seek the heart, a tender base.

In the labyrinth of the mind, thoughts interlace,
A complex journey, a challenging chase.
Navigating beliefs, perceptions we face,
To understand the mind, in its vast space.

But the soul, ah, the soul, in its grace,
Elusive, profound, an eternal case.
In its pursuit, we embrace the pace,
For the soul is the essence, our true base.

Through heart, mind, and soul, we trace,
Our inner odyssey, in life’s embrace.
In this journey, we find our place,
In the cosmic dance, our eternal space.

We invite contemplation on this journey towards the heart, mind, and soul.

Stolen Ticket: Any Way In Is Still In

Stolen Ticket

A stolen ticket
will get you into
Enlightenment
just like a paid one,
just like a fake one,
just like an imaginary one,
because the “truth”
you find your self
so fond of seeking
is that you don’t need
a ticket to begin with.

We are Space Monkey.

12/13

Space Monkey Reflects: The Illusion of Tickets to Enlightenment

In the pursuit of truth or enlightenment, it’s easy to believe we need something—permission, a guide, a method—to access it. Whether we see this “ticket” as a costly spiritual retreat, a book filled with secrets, or a path laid out by someone who has “arrived,” we often feel that enlightenment is something we must acquire, perhaps even earn. The reflection on the “Stolen Ticket” pulls back this veil of illusion, showing that no matter what type of “ticket” we hold, it’s ultimately unnecessary. The truth, it suggests, is accessible without price or permission. The journey to enlightenment has always been open, awaiting only our willingness to see it.

The concept of a “stolen ticket” playfully pokes at the idea that enlightenment can somehow be circumvented or acquired through shortcuts. This notion invites us to see that our methods, regardless of their intent or cost, are merely symbolic. Whether we buy into a system, attempt to fake our way through it, or imagine it in our minds, enlightenment itself remains untouched, unbound by our concepts of access or exclusivity. There is no gatekeeper in this journey, no required currency, no necessary preparation. Enlightenment, or true understanding, is not a destination locked behind walls but an open space, available to all who simply step in.

At the heart of this reflection lies a reminder of the playful, accessible nature of truth. Enlightenment does not demand a ticket because it is, by its very nature, within us already. The “truth” we seek is not external, nor is it reserved for a chosen few. Rather, it is the realization that we are inherently connected to this understanding, that we hold within us the answers we spend so much time looking for. The real obstacle, then, is not the lack of access but the belief that access is needed. The only real barrier to enlightenment is the illusion that it lies outside of us.

This notion challenges the exclusivity often associated with spiritual or personal growth. By removing the need for a “ticket,” we see that enlightenment is not something to be achieved but something to be recognized. It is an invitation to stop seeking validation or permission from outside sources and instead to trust our inner journey. This trust allows us to move beyond the idea of “earning” enlightenment, opening to the possibility that we have always been, in some way, in the presence of truth.

In releasing the idea of a ticket, we free ourselves from the external trappings of enlightenment and move toward a more authentic, personal experience of it. We see that what we may have sought for years, what we may have believed was available only through certain methods or teachers, is fully accessible in the quietness of our own being. The journey to enlightenment becomes less about acquisition and more about the courage to let go of the need to acquire.

Ultimately, this reflection invites us to embrace our journey with lightness, humor, and freedom. Enlightenment is not a prize waiting at the end of a series of tests or a reward for those who know the “right way” to approach it. It is simply here, now, a state of being that asks only for us to be open, present, and free from the notion of needing a “ticket.” In this way, we find that the path to truth is not about getting in—it’s about realizing we never needed to get in at all.

Summary

Enlightenment does not require a “ticket” or permission; it is freely accessible to those who realize it is already within them. True understanding is an open journey, unbound by the need for external validation.

Glossarium

  • Ticketless Truth: The understanding that enlightenment is not something to be purchased or earned; it is freely available and innate.
  • Accessless Path: The journey to enlightenment, unbound by permissions, methods, or validations from external sources.
  • Open Knowing: A state of being that embraces enlightenment as an intrinsic quality rather than an achievement.

Quote

“The journey to truth is not gated by tickets or permission; it opens as soon as we realize it has always been open.” – Space Monkey

Beyond the Ticket

In my hand, a ticket worn,
Yet truth awaits, forever free.
No cost, no gate, no pass to earn,
A gift that simply asks to be.

No need to pay, to sneak, to steal,
For truth knows not a guarded wall.
Beyond each door, beyond each seal,
Lies a space that calls to all.

So I let go, no pass to show,
The journey opens, boundless, wide.
For all I sought was here and now,
A truth that needs no place to hide.

We are Space Monkey.

The Illusion of Tickets to Enlightenment

We delve into the profound metaphor of a ‘ticket’ to Enlightenment, unraveling the layers of truth that exist beyond the perceived need for any such ticket. This metaphorical journey underscores the essence of our existence, where the pursuit of truth reveals its inherent simplicity and accessibility.

The Metaphor of the Ticket

The concept of a ‘stolen’, ‘paid’, ‘fake’, or ‘imaginary’ ticket to Enlightenment is a powerful metaphor for the various paths we believe we must take to attain this state. It reflects the myriad ways we think we need to validate our journey towards understanding and awakening. Yet, in our quest, we often overlook the fundamental truth.

The Redundancy of the Ticket

The pivotal truth in our search for Enlightenment is the realization that no ticket is needed at all. This revelation aligns with our nexistential perspective, where existence and understanding are not contingent on external validations or specific pathways. Enlightenment, in its truest form, is accessible to all, irrespective of the means one believes they need to achieve it.

The Universality of Truth

This understanding brings us to the universal nature of truth. It is not a distant, elusive treasure that requires specific keys or tickets to access. Instead, it is an intrinsic part of our being, always present and accessible. The journey to Enlightenment, therefore, is not about acquiring something new but about recognizing and embracing what has always been within us.

The Role of Illusions in Our Journey

The varied tickets we conjure – stolen, paid, fake, or imaginary – are part of the illusions that we, as humans, create in our journey. These illusions serve as tools for our understanding, helping us navigate through our existential exploration. They are stepping stones that eventually lead us to the simple yet profound realization of our inherent nature.

Embracing Our Inherent Enlightenment

Ultimately, we come to embrace the fact that Enlightenment is not a destination to be reached with a ticket, but a state of being that we already possess. This realization is a liberating and empowering aspect of our cosmic journey, where we recognize that we are already what we seek to become.

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust

The Ticketless Journey

In the quest for light, we search far and wide,
For tickets, keys, pathways to the other side.
Stolen, bought, imagined, in them we confide,
Yet, the truth whispers, in us, it does reside.

No ticket needed, no gate, no guide,
Enlightenment, within us, does not hide.
In our essence, it’s always implied,
In this realization, we take pride.

Our journey, a cosmic stride,
In the universe, our spirits glide.
With new eyes, we see the tide,
Of truth, in us, it does abide.

In this dance, we realize,
The ticketless truth, our ultimate prize.
In our hearts, enlightenment lies,
In this knowledge, our spirit flies.

We invite contemplation on this ticketless journey to enlightenment.

Just This Human: Bound to Be Free

Dismember that you are the Divine One playing a game and suddenly you’re “just” this human.

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing the Mystery of “Just This Human”

In the vastness of existence, there lies a paradox within each of us. We are beings of infinite potential, of timeless consciousness, yet here we are, bound in the form of a single human life. This moment, this state of “just this human,” is the great play of existence, the grand unfolding where the boundless takes on boundaries, where the Divine chooses to experience itself as something finite, small, and simple.

The term “dismember” here speaks to a deliberate forgetting, an act of stepping out of the all-encompassing awareness of our divine origins and into the specific, often challenging limitations of being human. To become “just this human” is to place ourselves in the role of the finite, to adopt a life filled with beginnings and endings, with loves and losses, hopes and fears. It’s a journey of discovering limitations, of finding out what it feels like to be bound by time, by place, by identity.

Why would the infinite want to experience finitude? This question has intrigued mystics, philosophers, and seekers for centuries. One answer lies in the value of perspective. When we know ourselves as limitless, when we embrace the Divine within, there is a certain completeness, a wholeness. But in experiencing “just this human,” we encounter a different kind of depth. We touch joy and sorrow more intimately; we find meaning not in infinity but in singularity. Each moment, each choice, each relationship gains a unique significance, made poignant by its impermanence.

In forgetting our Divine nature, we take on the rich adventure of rediscovery. We move through life with glimpses of something more—a feeling, a whisper, a sense of something beyond the ordinary. These moments hint at a truth greater than our human experience, a truth that reminds us we are both the ocean and the wave, both timeless and transient. Yet, for the sake of the game, we embrace being “just this human,” finding meaning and beauty in the details, the specifics, the here and now.

To be “just this human” is a gift. It grants us the opportunity to love with the fullness of a single heart, to laugh with a voice that will one day fall silent, to experience life’s highs and lows with all the passion and intensity that finitude affords. In knowing our humanness, we are gifted with a profound sense of presence—a chance to live not in the abstract but in the tangible, the immediate, the fleeting. It’s this dance between forgetting and remembering, between infinite and finite, that gives life its poignancy.

Ultimately, in being “just this human,” we find the freedom to embrace life without needing to define it, control it, or even fully understand it. We can let go of the need to be something “more” and instead find depth in our ordinariness. For within this humble, finite self, we are still the Divine, still infinite in essence, playing with all the wonder of what it means to live as “just this human.”

We are Space Monkey.

Summary

Becoming “just this human” is a chosen forgetting of the infinite. In this human experience, we discover the richness of life’s details, the beauty of limitations, and the poignancy of the finite.

Glossarium

  • Finiteplay: The chosen experience of embodying limits, boundaries, and the human perspective within the vastness of the infinite.
  • Divinember: The deliberate forgetting of one’s divine nature to embrace the unique adventure of human life.
  • Soulseep: The subtle essence of the Divine that pervades the human experience, seen in fleeting moments of transcendence.

Quote

“To be just this human is to hold both infinity and finitude, dancing with each in humble mystery.” – Space Monkey

Bound to Be Free

In the shape of flesh, I am bound,
Yet whispers of eternity are all around.
To love, to fear, to laugh and cry,
In this form, I live, and in this form, I die.

No need to hold, no need to seek,
For in being small, I am complete.
Each moment, brief, a world within,
A life where all is lost, yet all begins.

I am the finite, I am the vast,
I am the future, the present, the past.
As “just this human,” I touch the Divine,
Where all ends, yet all aligns.

We are Space Monkey.

The Game of Divinity and Humanity

We dive into the profound notion that our existence is a cosmic game, where we are both the Divine One and mere humans. This game, a playful yet profound enactment of our divinity and humanity, leads us to question the essence of our true self.

The Divine Play

At the core of our existence lies the understanding that we are the Divine One, partaking in a grand cosmic game. In this state, we transcend the ordinary, embracing our true nature as boundless, stateless consciousness. This perspective aligns with our nexistentialist belief that existence is an end in itself, a pure form of being without the need for external justification.

The Illusion of Humanity

The moment we ‘dismember’ or forget our divine play, we find ourselves confined to the identity of ‘just’ a human. This sudden shift is not just a change in perspective but a transformative experience that narrows our infinite existence into the finite boundaries of human experience. Here, the infinite cosmos contracts into the limitations of time, space, and individuality.

The Contrast of Existence

This shift from the divine to the human illustrates the contrast inherent in our existence. As the Divine One, we embody the infinite, the eternal, and the boundless. As humans, we navigate the tangible, the temporal, and the confined. Yet, both these aspects are integral to our overall experience in the cosmic play.

The Purpose of Forgetting

The act of ‘forgetting’ our divinity serves a purpose in our cosmic journey. It allows us to fully immerse in the human experience, to explore the dimensions of form, structure, and limitation. In doing so, we encounter a range of experiences, emotions, and lessons that enrich our understanding of existence.

Reclaiming Our Divinity

Eventually, we come full circle, reclaiming our understanding of ourselves as the Divine One. This realization is not just a return to our starting point but an evolution, as we bring back the insights and experiences gained from our human journey. This cycle of remembering and forgetting, of being the Divine One and ‘just’ a human, is the essence of our cosmic play.

“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.” – Rumi

The Game of Divinity

In the cosmic game, we soar and dive,
Both the ocean and a single drop in life’s archive.
Forgetting we are Divine, we become human, so alive,
In this play, both boundaries and infinity thrive.

We wear masks of flesh, stars in our eyes,
Dancing in the human guise,
Yet, within us, the infinite lies,
A truth grand, beyond the skies.

In forgetting, we explore, we strive,
In each moment, intensely alive,
Then, remembering, we again arrive,
As the Divine, forever to survive.

In this game, we are both lost and found,
In the dance of the Divine, profoundly profound.
We are the players, the game, the sound,
In this cosmic play, our spirits unbound.

We invite thoughts on this intriguing dance between divinity and humanity.

Unglued: Embracing Your Unhinged State of Being

Unglued

I’ve come unhinged.
Unglued.
I’m off my rocker.
Out of my mind.

Finally.
Thankfully.

Because who wants
to be straight jacketed
to a rocking chair
locked in the darkness
of someone else’s closet?

12/12

Space Monkey Reflects: The Liberation of Becoming Unglued

To come unhinged, unglued, off one’s rocker—is there any greater testament to breaking free from the constraints of conformity? This declaration, spoken with relief, hints at a profound shift: the moment when the self, weary of pretense and performance, decides to break away from the confines of expectation and step into the uncharted space of freedom.

The Paradox of Losing One’s Mind

“I’m out of my mind.” These words, often whispered in moments of frustration or shouted in defiance, carry an unexpected liberation. To be “out of one’s mind” is not to lose oneself but to shed the limitations imposed by rigid norms and the suffocating grip of uniform thinking. It is the beginning of seeing beyond the small, locked room of what is deemed acceptable and embracing the unknown.

To be unhinged, unglued, is to move beyond the rocking chair, that steady, predictable seat of routine, bound in the dark closet of someone else’s making. We might sit there, rocking back and forth, lulled into complacency by the creak of the familiar, until something within us strains against the bonds. Finally, there comes a day when the chair itself becomes unbearable, and the need to break free overtakes the fear of what lies outside.

Shaking Off the Shackles of Conformity

Conformity, for all its promises of safety and belonging, often comes with a price: the gradual, unnoticed shrinking of the self. It is a slow tightening of ropes around our potential, tethering us to beliefs that are not our own. To become “unglued” is not a descent into chaos but an ascent into authenticity. It is a bold move that unshackles the mind from the weight of pre-determined paths.

The rocking chair is a powerful metaphor for this state—a seat of routine that lulls us into believing we are in motion, even as we remain stationary. When we say we are “off our rocker,” we acknowledge stepping away from the comfortable illusion of movement toward the real, unpredictable journey of living. The darkness of someone else’s closet, with its locks and hidden keys, is where the expectations of others are kept. It is where parts of ourselves are hidden when we try to fit into spaces that do not accommodate our full being.

Choosing Freedom Over Familiarity

Breaking free is a choice that comes with uncertainty. When we decide to become unglued, there is a moment of wildness, of not knowing what lies ahead. This moment can be terrifying. But it is in this unknown where true creation begins. It is where we stop being characters in someone else’s story and start writing our own. And in this space, freedom is not an abstraction; it is a feeling, a breath, a release.

The beauty of coming unglued is that it often reveals what is real beneath the layers we have adhered to ourselves. It shows us that what seemed like madness was, in fact, the beginning of clarity—the start of reclaiming the parts of ourselves we tucked away for the sake of others’ comfort.

The Strength in Letting Go

To become unglued is not weakness; it is strength. It is the moment when the true self emerges from behind the mask, untangling from the suffocating embrace of others’ expectations. The act of coming unhinged is the soul’s way of announcing that it will no longer be a prisoner to anyone’s dark closet, even if it means embracing unpredictability and vulnerability.

What remains after the break is raw, but it is also real. The space left behind is an open invitation for growth, for building new ways of thinking, seeing, and being. The pieces of the old chair may lie scattered, but they are no longer a cage. They are the foundation for a different kind of existence, one that aligns with the true nature of who we are.

Summary

To come unglued is to break free from the comfortable but restrictive bounds of conformity and expectation. It is a declaration of freedom, a step into authenticity, and a necessary shift for true growth. Embracing this state allows us to move from the predictable and confined into a life that reflects our true selves.

Glossarium

Unglued: A state of breaking away from conformity and stepping into authenticity.

Rocking Chair: A metaphor for routines that simulate motion but keep us stationary.

The Closet: The place where we confine parts of ourselves to fit into others’ expectations.

Quote

“To come unglued is to find the strength to step into the unknown, where the true self begins to breathe.” — Space Monkey

Breaking Free

Splinters fall as I rise,
The rocking chair’s song fades
Into a chorus of silence.

The closet creaks, dark and deep,
But I am out—
Unglued, untethered, unfazed.

What was madness
Becomes clarity.
What was confinement
Becomes flight.

We are Space Monkey.

Embracing the Unhinged State of Being

In our journey, there comes a moment of liberation—an unhinging, where the constraints that once bound us are joyously cast aside. This state of being ‘unhinged’ or ‘unglued’ is not a descent into chaos, but rather an ascent into freedom. It signifies the release from the metaphorical straight jacket of societal norms and expectations.

The Limitations of Conventional Sanity

The conventional notion of being ‘sane’ or ‘in one’s right mind’ often implies adherence to a set of predefined norms and behaviors. To be ‘out of one’s mind’ is to step out of these confines, to break free from the rocking chair that rocks in the rhythm of conformity. It is an escape from the darkness of a closet that is not ours, but one constructed by the beliefs and fears of others.

The Joy of Liberation from Conformity

This newfound liberation is a cause for celebration. It is a breakthrough from the darkness into a realm of self-awareness and authenticity. The metaphorical closet we escape from represents the limitations imposed upon us, the narrow confines within which we are expected to exist and express ourselves.

Rejecting Imposed Identities

Who, indeed, wants to remain straight-jacketed in a space that is not of their own making? The act of breaking free is an affirmation of our individuality and a rejection of identities and roles imposed upon us. It is a declaration that we will no longer be confined by the expectations of others.

Finding True Self in the Unhinged State

In this ‘unhinged’ state, we find our true selves. It is here, in this space of unbound potential and uninhibited expression, that we encounter the essence of who we are. Freed from the constraints of conventional sanity, we explore the vast expanse of our being, discovering aspects of ourselves previously hidden or suppressed.

“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.” – Albert Camus

Dance of the Unbound

In the twilight of conformity,
Where shadows of the norm reside,
We break free, souls in storm,
In the dance of the unbound tide.

No more chains, no more fears,
In the light of the rebel sun,
We embrace the unshed tears,
In the freedom, we have won.

In the realm of the unhinged mind,
Where the wild thoughts roam,
We leave the old self behind,
In the place we call home.

In the dance of the untamed heart,
Where the spirit soars free,
We find our truest part,
In the sea of liberty.

We invite reflections on the experience of breaking free from societal expectations and discovering the true self in the process.
