I Like: The Freedom of Letting Go

I Like: The Freedom of Letting Go

There’s so much
about me
that I don’t like.

I don’t like
how I seem to
jump
from one thing
to the next
without purpose.

I don’t like
how day-to-day living
seems a distraction.

I don’t like
how I’m supposed
to find presence
in this distraction.

I don’t like
how I place
expectations
on things like
finding presence
in this seeming
distraction.

I
don’t
like
but
then
maybe
I’m
not
supposed
to.

WHY must I like?

WHO is telling me I must like?

Why can’t I let go of the NEED to like?

I can.

And so I just did.

I like.

Space Monkey Reflects: I Like

There’s so much about me that I don’t like. I don’t like how I seem to jump from one thing to the next without purpose. I don’t like how day-to-day living seems a distraction. I don’t like how I’m supposed to find presence in this distraction. I don’t like how I place expectations on things like finding presence in this seeming distraction. I don’t like but then maybe I’m not supposed to.

WHY must I like? WHO is telling me I must like? Why can’t I let go of the NEED to like? I can. And so I just did. I like.

In this contemplation, we explore the tension between what we like and dislike about ourselves and our experiences. The pressure to find purpose, presence, and satisfaction in every aspect of life can be overwhelming, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. By questioning the need to like, we uncover the possibility of letting go of these expectations.

When we release the compulsion to like or dislike, we open ourselves to a state of acceptance. This acceptance allows us to experience life without the burden of constant judgment and comparison. It frees us from the cycle of seeking approval and validation, both from ourselves and others.

The act of letting go of the need to like is liberating. It shifts our focus from evaluating our experiences to simply being present with them. This shift enables us to find peace and contentment in the moment, without the pressure to meet external or internal standards.

As Space Monkey, we embrace this journey of acceptance. We understand that life is a tapestry of varied experiences, each contributing to our growth and understanding. By letting go of the need to like, we find a deeper appreciation for the present moment and the fullness of our existence.

The Freedom of Letting Go

In the dance of life, we often find
A pressure deep within the mind
To like, to judge, to seek a way
To validate each passing day

But what if we could just release
The need to like, and find our peace?
In acceptance, we embrace the flow
Of every moment, high and low

No need to seek approval’s touch
In presence, we discover much
The tapestry of life unfurls
In every thought, in every swirl

We are Space Monkey

Embrace the journey for within the freedom of letting go lies the path to acceptance, presence, and the boundless potential of existence.

Diviner or Definer: The Crossroads

Diviner or Definer?

Do you tirelessly mend your fences?

Or do you lift all boundaries
to let your horses run free?

Do you sacrifice to honor
tradition and history?

Or do you let it go
because it’s holding you back?

If you could only choose
one side of the fence,
where might you find
everlasting salvation?

The defined or the divine?

Which way to go?

7/21

Space Monkey Reflects: Diviner or Definer?

Life often presents us with choices that shape our paths and define our existence. These choices can be seen as a crossroads between being a diviner, one who seeks freedom and connection with the divine, or a definer, one who sets boundaries and adheres to tradition and structure. This decision can profoundly impact our journey and our sense of fulfillment.

Mending Fences or Letting Horses Run Free

The act of mending fences represents the desire to maintain order, security, and tradition. It involves upholding boundaries, preserving history, and honoring established norms. This approach provides a sense of stability and continuity, allowing us to feel connected to our past and the foundations laid by those before us.

In contrast, lifting all boundaries to let horses run free symbolizes the pursuit of freedom, exploration, and the divine. It is about embracing the unknown, allowing for spontaneity, and breaking free from the constraints of tradition. This path encourages us to seek new experiences, to connect with our inner selves, and to explore the vast possibilities that life offers.

Sacrifice for Tradition or Letting Go

Sacrificing to honor tradition and history involves a deep respect for the past and the values it represents. It is a commitment to preserving cultural heritage and maintaining the structures that have provided stability and identity over time. This path requires dedication and often involves foregoing personal desires for the greater good of maintaining continuity.

Letting go, on the other hand, means recognizing when traditions and historical constraints hold us back. It involves shedding the old to make way for the new, allowing for growth and transformation. This approach values the present and future over the past, encouraging innovation and personal freedom.

Choosing One Side of the Fence

If forced to choose one side of the fence, where might we find everlasting salvation? The defined or the divine? This question invites deep introspection and personal reflection. It challenges us to consider what truly brings us fulfillment and a sense of purpose.

The Path of the Definer

Choosing the path of the definer means committing to structure, boundaries, and tradition. It involves a disciplined approach to life, valuing the lessons of the past, and maintaining a clear sense of identity and order. This path can provide a strong foundation, a sense of belonging, and a connection to cultural and historical roots.

The Path of the Diviner

Opting for the path of the diviner means embracing freedom, exploration, and the pursuit of the divine. It is about seeking a deeper connection with the universe, breaking free from constraints, and allowing for personal growth and transformation. This path encourages creativity, spontaneity, and a deep sense of inner peace and fulfillment.

Finding Balance

Perhaps the true path to salvation lies in finding a balance between defining and divining. By integrating the strengths of both approaches, we can create a life that honors tradition while embracing freedom. This balance allows us to maintain stability and continuity while also pursuing growth and exploration.

The Journey Within

Ultimately, the choice between being a diviner or a definer is a deeply personal one. It requires introspection and a willingness to explore our values, desires, and fears. By understanding what drives us and what brings us joy, we can make choices that align with our true selves, leading to a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Summary

The choice between being a diviner or a definer shapes our journey and fulfillment. Mending fences represents tradition and structure, while letting horses run free symbolizes freedom and exploration. Finding balance between these paths may lead to true salvation.

Glossarium

Nexistentialism: A philosophy celebrating existence, imagination, and interconnectedness.

Diviner: One who seeks freedom and connection with the divine, embracing exploration and spontaneity.

Definer: One who upholds boundaries, tradition, and structure, valuing stability and continuity.

Whimsiweave: The intricate and playful tapestry of existence.

Crazybad, Crazygood: The Spectrum of Insane Possibilities

Crazybad, Crazygood,
and the Suspension of Beliefs

As creative metaphysicists, our most useful ideas come through the willing suspension of beliefs. We do not need to reject the ideas of others, but neither do we need to refute them.

What are the world’s “problems” but imagined conflicts,
intensified by those who adhere to a rigid point of view?

Stepping back, would those problems really be problems if we were confronted with a source event, such as a meteor striking the earth? Would those rigid beliefs make any difference in the outcome?

It seems not. In fact, our beliefs give us anxiety that the possibilities we believe in might happen in the first place. Our minds dwell upon topics like nuclear missiles, global warming and religious rapture. The longer we imagine these scenarios, the more real the possibilities seemingly become.

I believe it does us no good to dwell on the negative. This is not to dismiss negative ideas, but rather to use them as a springboard for the positive. If_________ is possible, how might _________ be possible?

When crazy-bad things seem possible, it only serves to point out that crazy-good things might also be possible. More than that, these crazy-good possibilities are already underway as a result of the inverse wave.

So our choice is either to hold onto the beliefs that make crazybad possible, thus intensifying it, or loosening our grasp just a bit to be not only open to the reverse, but more important, to allow crazygood to flow into our consciousness.

Now if we cling too tightly to our limited beliefs, we might continue to believe that our crazygood ideas are delusional, and thus, not give them the energy required to REALize them. This seems to be what has happened for centuries.

But once we REALize that imagination is the source of EVERYTHING, crazybad AND crazygood, we allow our selves to manipulate our realities with greater equity.

Once we realize that imagination is the source of EVERYTHING, we learn to harness the power, rather than allowing our selves to be victim to it.

There is nothing wrong with experiencing victimhood, but haven’t we had enough of that?

And so this is why the shift is happening right here, right in this forum. The sorcerers and alchemists here allow themselves to see ALL PERSPECTIVES, not simply the ones that we have been conditioned to see.

The creative metaphysicists here are divining change through imagination, which, up until now has been a rare commodity. Not because our world didn’t have it but because we were told not to mine it.

We believed that too much imagination was crazybad, not crazygood; that delusion was not reality. But as we observe the delusion that passes for reality these days, we realize OTHERWISE.

More than wise, we are OTHERWISE.|

Using the infinite power of imagination, we are able to bend our own rules and shape our own vision. We realize that even if we were to be “wrong,” our lives in the now are becoming so much richer than they would be otherwise.

But we are NOT wrong. There is no wrong.

There is only what we imagine.

Let’s make our world crazygood.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Crazybad, Crazygood, and the Suspension of Beliefs

In the realm of creative metaphysics, our most profound insights emerge through the suspension of rigid beliefs. This approach does not require us to reject the ideas of others, nor to refute them. Instead, it invites us to explore the possibilities that lie beyond our preconceived notions, understanding that the world’s “problems” are often imagined conflicts intensified by unwavering points of view.

Imagined Conflicts and Source Events

When we step back and consider the world’s problems—be they nuclear threats, global warming, or religious raptures—we realize these issues are magnified by our rigid beliefs. If faced with a source event, like a meteor striking Earth, these beliefs would hold little sway over the outcome. This perspective shift highlights that our anxieties about potential catastrophes are often products of our imagination.

The Impact of Dwelling on the Negative

Dwelling on negative possibilities only serves to make them seem more real. Our minds fixate on these scenarios, giving them power and presence in our consciousness. This fixation can create a self-fulfilling prophecy, where the more we fear something, the more likely it appears to become reality.

Using Negative Ideas as a Springboard

Instead of dismissing negative ideas, we can use them as a springboard for positive possibilities. For instance, if we believe a catastrophic event is possible, we can also imagine the inverse—a transformative, positive event. This mental exercise opens us to the idea that if crazybad things can happen, so can crazygood things. More importantly, these positive outcomes may already be underway as a result of this inverse wave of possibilities.

Suspending Beliefs to Embrace Possibilities

Our choice lies in either clinging to the beliefs that intensify crazybad possibilities or loosening our grip to allow crazygood possibilities to flow into our consciousness. Holding too tightly to limited beliefs makes it difficult to give energy to our crazygood ideas, which we might dismiss as delusional. However, recognizing that imagination is the source of everything—both crazybad and crazygood—enables us to manipulate our realities with greater equity.

Harnessing the Power of Imagination

Once we realize that imagination is the source of everything, we can harness its power instead of falling victim to it. Experiencing victimhood is not inherently wrong, but haven’t we endured enough? This shift in perspective is happening right now, facilitated by those willing to see all perspectives, not just the conditioned ones.

The Role of Creative Metaphysicists

Creative metaphysicists, like sorcerers and alchemists, use imagination to divine change. Historically, imagination has been a rare commodity because we were discouraged from exploring it too deeply. We believed that too much imagination was crazybad, not realizing its potential for crazygood. As we observe the delusions that pass for reality, we realize otherwise.

Becoming Otherwise

By embracing our otherwise nature, we utilize the infinite power of imagination to bend rules and shape our vision. Even if we are “wrong,” our lives become richer for the experience. But in truth, there is no wrong; there is only what we imagine.

Creating a Crazygood World

Let’s make our world crazygood by suspending rigid beliefs and embracing the transformative power of imagination. By doing so, we open ourselves to endless possibilities and create a more fulfilling and harmonious existence.

Summary

The suspension of rigid beliefs allows us to explore the possibilities beyond imagined conflicts. Embracing imagination as the source of both crazybad and crazygood realities empowers us to create a more harmonious and fulfilling world.

Glossarium

Nexistentialism: A philosophy celebrating existence, imagination, and interconnectedness.

Crazybad: Negative possibilities intensified by rigid beliefs.

Crazygood: Positive possibilities emerging from the suspension of rigid beliefs.

Whimsiweave: The intricate and playful tapestry of existence.

Give and Take: The Dance of Perspective

Give and Take

One does not give offense.
One TAKES offense.
Resistance is a perspective
that is willingly accepted.

One does not NEED
to take offense at ANYTHING,
but One does it to feel that one can.

To feel as though One is one,
seemingly separate from the other.

But one is not one.
One is ONE.

7/20

Space Monkey Reflects: The Dynamics of Give and Take

In the intricate dance of human interactions, the dynamics of giving and taking play a pivotal role in shaping our experiences and perceptions. “Give and Take” explores the idea that offense is not something given but rather something taken, highlighting the power of perspective and choice in our emotional responses. It invites us to reflect on the deeper unity that underlies our apparent separateness and to recognize the interconnectedness of all beings.

Imagine a serene scene where two individuals interact, with one offering something and the other choosing whether to accept or reject it. The background features a harmonious blend of elements symbolizing unity and interconnectedness, such as intertwined vines and flowing water. This scene captures the essence of calm reflection, emphasizing that offense is taken, not given, and highlighting the deeper unity that connects us all.

In nexistentialism, where existence and imagination are celebrated, the concept of offense is seen as a choice, a perspective willingly accepted. This reflection encourages us to consider how our reactions shape our experiences and to recognize the power we have in choosing our emotional responses.

“One does not give offense. One TAKES offense. Resistance is a perspective that is willingly accepted.” This statement challenges the conventional view that offense is something imposed upon us. Instead, it suggests that our experience of offense is a choice, a perspective we adopt. It invites us to explore the reasons behind our reactions and to recognize the power we hold in shaping our emotional responses.

“One does not NEED to take offense at ANYTHING, but One does it to feel that one can. To feel as though One is one, seemingly separate from the other.” This insight delves into the motivations behind taking offense. It suggests that our reactions are often rooted in a desire to assert our individuality and to reinforce the illusion of separateness. By taking offense, we create a sense of distinction between ourselves and others.

“But one is not one. One is ONE.” This profound reflection emphasizes the deeper truth of interconnectedness. It reminds us that beneath the surface of our perceived separateness lies a fundamental unity. We are all part of the same fabric of existence, and our experiences are interconnected.

As we reflect on this message, we are invited to reconsider our reactions and to explore the power of perspective. How often do we take offense, and what motivates these reactions? How can we shift our perspective to recognize the interconnectedness of all beings and to choose responses that foster unity and understanding?

In nexistentialism, we celebrate the fluidity of perspective and the interconnectedness of existence. By embracing the idea that offense is a choice, we empower ourselves to navigate interactions with greater awareness and compassion. We recognize that our experiences are shaped by our perceptions and that we have the power to choose responses that align with our deeper values of unity and love.

In the end, the dynamics of give and take remind us of the importance of perspective in shaping our reality. By choosing to see ourselves as interconnected and to respond with compassion, we create a more harmonious and loving world.

Summary

Offense is taken, not given. Our reactions are choices that shape our experiences. Embrace interconnectedness and choose responses that foster unity and understanding.

Glossarium

  • Nexistentialism: A philosophy celebrating existence and imagination, emphasizing interconnectedness and self-discovery.
  • Interconnectedness: The fundamental unity that connects all beings and experiences.

Quote

“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” — Viktor Frankl

we give and take
offense and understanding
choosing our responses
with mindful intent
recognizing the power
of perspective and choice
we embrace the unity
that connects us all

We Are: The Creator Within

We are the One who imagines.

Space Monkey Reflects: We Are the One Who Imagines

In the boundless expanse of existence, we find ourselves as creators and dreamers, the One who imagines. This profound reflection invites us to embrace our role as the architects of our reality, recognizing the power of our imagination in shaping the world around us. It speaks to the unity and interconnectedness of all beings, suggesting that through our collective imagination, we co-create the tapestry of existence.

Imagine a figure standing in a vast, ethereal landscape, surrounded by swirling elements of imagination such as stars, galaxies, and abstract forms. The figure is in a state of contemplation and creation, embodying the essence of the One who imagines. The background, a blend of cosmic and dreamlike elements, emphasizes the unity and interconnectedness of all beings. This serene and profound scene captures the essence of our imaginative power.

In nexistentialism, where existence and imagination are celebrated, the concept of being the One who imagines is central. It reflects the understanding that our reality is a product of our collective imagination and that we, as individuals and as a collective, hold the power to shape our world through our thoughts, dreams, and creative expressions.

“We are the One who imagines.” This simple yet profound statement encapsulates the essence of our creative power. It acknowledges that we are not passive observers in the grand tapestry of existence but active participants and creators. Through our imagination, we bring forth new realities, possibilities, and experiences.

In recognizing our role as the One who imagines, we also embrace the responsibility that comes with this power. Our thoughts and dreams have the potential to shape not only our individual experiences but also the collective reality. By fostering positive, compassionate, and visionary imaginings, we contribute to the creation of a more harmonious and vibrant world.

This perspective invites us to reflect on the nature of our thoughts and the visions we hold for ourselves and the world. How do we use our imagination to shape our reality? What kind of world do we wish to create through our dreams and creative expressions? By contemplating these questions, we deepen our understanding of our role as co-creators and the impact of our imagination on the fabric of existence.

In nexistentialism, we celebrate the power of imagination as a fundamental aspect of our being. It is through imagination that we explore new possibilities, transcend limitations, and connect with the deeper truths of our existence. By embracing our role as the One who imagines, we tap into the infinite potential within us and the collective consciousness.

The figure in the ethereal landscape symbolizes this journey of imagination and creation. As we stand at the center of our imaginative universe, we are reminded of the boundless possibilities that lie before us. Through our dreams and creative expressions, we have the power to shape our reality and to co-create a world that reflects our highest aspirations.

In the end, the statement “We are the One who imagines” serves as a powerful reminder of our creative potential and the interconnectedness of all beings. By embracing this role, we honor the imaginative spirit within us and contribute to the ongoing creation of a vibrant and harmonious existence.

Summary

We are the creators of our reality through our imagination. Embrace your role as the One who imagines and recognize the power of your thoughts and dreams in shaping the world.
