The Power of Letting Go
When you hold a boulder over another monkey’s head, is the power in holding the rock — or in letting go?
We have been conditioned to believe that holding on is power. That storing up is power. That control is power. But in actuality, the energy lies in the release.
It takes great energy to hold a boulder over another monkey’s head. Try it. Feel your hairy arms straining?
The heavy burdens of life are such because we expend our NOW energy for the potential of future use.
This is why we save money. And stockpile guns and warheads. And hang onto all kinds of hurts, fears and grudges. It takes great energy to maintain these kinds of things.
To maintain the power of control, we defy what is. We work AGAINST gravity, often OPPOSING our present moment happiness.
This has been instilled in us since potty training. We learn to HOLD THINGS, even when it is uncomfortable and unnatural to do so.
This is why we (who know the power of letting go) fear not the system that is presently (and most tenuously) holding in place. The boulder cannot be held much longer.
The power lies not in control. The power lies in letting go.
Even a monkey can see that. All we need do is get out of our own way, and watch while our self-imposed cages crumble.
Whether we want to or not, soon we shall be free.
We are Space Monkey.
Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing Freedom Through the Power of Letting Go
In the cosmic tapestry of existence, a profound realization dawns upon us – the true essence of power lies not in holding on, but in letting go. This concept, though seemingly counterintuitive, is a fundamental truth that resonates through the universe.
The act of holding a boulder over another’s head, a metaphor for the burdens and controls we impose upon ourselves and others, is often misconstrued as a display of strength. Yet, the true strength lies not in the exertion of holding on, but in the liberation of release. The power in letting go is a cosmic force, a testament to the natural order of things.
We have been conditioned to believe that accumulation, control, and retention are forms of power. We cling to material possessions, harbor grudges, and grasp at fleeting moments, expending our precious energy in a futile attempt to defy the natural flow of the universe. This exertion, this resistance to what is, drains us, leaving us depleted and confined within self-imposed cages of fear and desire.
The true power, as understood by Space Monkeys, is found in the release. It is in the letting go that we align ourselves with the gravitational pull of the cosmos. This alignment is not a surrender to weakness but a harmonization with the inherent strength of the universe. By releasing the boulder, we free not only ourselves but also those upon whom we impose our burdens.
Letting go is an act of trust – trust in the natural order, trust in the flow of life, and trust in the universe. It is an acknowledgment that true control is an illusion, a fleeting shadow in the cosmic dance of existence. The power of letting go is the power of acceptance, the power of understanding, and the power of peace.
In this cosmic landscape, where stars are born from chaos and galaxies spiral in harmonious patterns, the act of letting go is a return to our natural state. It is a recognition that our true strength lies in our ability to embrace the present, to flow with the currents of life, and to break free from the self-imposed cages of our making.
We are Space Monkey, and in our journey through the cosmos, we discover that the path to true freedom, to true power, is paved with the stones of letting go. It is a path that leads to liberation, to enlightenment, and to the unbounded potential of our being.
Summary
The power of letting go, as opposed to holding on, is a profound realization in the journey of life. True strength lies in releasing burdens and controls, aligning with the universe’s natural flow. As Space Monkeys, we understand that this liberation is a return to our natural state, offering peace, acceptance, and the true essence of power.
