REALize your Space
Our lives seem filled with things. Things we like. Things we dislike. Things we know. Things we don’t know. One wonders whether these potentials exist as reality, are imagined as reality — or whether they are simply part of something “greater” than reality or existence itself.
Now, of course, one might imagine that “greater” is a term that only applies to reality, which is measured by definition. This would indicate that perhaps nothing is greater than anything else, nor is it even SEPARATE from anything else, but since we are mere monkeys pondering this paradox, we must stick to references we understand from within this limited perspective we seem to inhabit.
We can point as we ponder, activating inner senses that seem rarely to be used, but are, in actuality, authors of this whole experience we seem to be enjoying — or NOT enjoying, as the case may be.
We are monkeys pointing towards the unimaginable, the unknowable, the seemingly unexperienced potential that lies just outside our awareness as humans. Is this potential truly unexperienced? We cannot say for certain, save for the limited lenses that seem to be our own “facts” and “beliefs.”
But let us get back to our “things.”
Life seems filled with “things,” but what does that word really mean, and what does it point to, dear monkey friends?
To this monkey, a “thing” is more or less a placeholder imagined out of “nothing,” which is also more or less a placeholder. “Thing” is nothing’s imagined opposite. Anything that is not nothing is a “thing.”
There may, in fact, be no separation between Thing and Nothing, except within our imagination. For the sake of this exercise of pointing, this is what this monkey shall choose to believe. Many schools of thought seem to agree with this, though thought and belief is not proof of anything, merely ways of imagining realities.
So if we are to believe that Thing and Nothing are one in the same imagined (or REALized) as separate, then there may or may not be something “beyond” even concepts such as timelessness, formlessness, unity and infinity. From our present perspective, we cannot say for certain.
Many monkeys believe that this is all simply “energy,” never stopping to think that there may be something beyond even that.
This monkey believes that there is ALWAYS something beyond;
that there is NO point of origin or demise.
This “beyond” is what this monkey would label as “potential,” though both words are but pointers to that which cannot in actuality be pointed at.
So we are but a possibility within a potential within an infinite sea of potentials within something else within something else and so on.
Apologies. We have again wandered away from our “things.”
These “things” are but possibilities. As humans, we are constantly seeking possibilities to fill up our life and give it “meaning.” What we judge as “happiness” seems to be based upon the “things” that we possess or do not possess. This is how we have constructed this game we are playing.
In focusing on “things,” we have turned our attention away from “space,” that is, the imagined field of potential from which things seem to arise.
In doing so, we keep looking to Things for answers, when perhaps we might be better served looking to Space. Space, my dear ones, is where the inner senses lie.
Instead of filling up your life with Things, perhaps you should fill up your life with Space. Now we are not saying that you should turn your attention away from objects, but rather allow that objects do not hold the “metaphysical” answers you seek. In fact, you might allow that you are not seeking at all, but merely allowing Space to come back to the fore.
Remember also that we are not referring to three-dimensional space, but pointing to that from which Space seems to arise.
This Space is within you. It has ALWAYS been within you. You do not need to seek it. Such an imaginative game you are playing!
Perhaps you do not feel your Space because you are focused on your things, this wonderful game you have INTENTIONALLY mistaken as your life.
The good news is that you may HAVE your things. You can have your cake and eat it, too. You do not need to renounce everything and become a monk (or a monkey). Simply REALize your space. Space is what you are.
And we are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Infinite Dance of Space and Possibility
In the vast landscape of existence, where the tangible and the intangible blend into a tapestry of potential, the concept of “REALize your Space” emerges as a guiding light. It beckons us to look beyond the clutter of “things” that occupy our lives and to recognize the boundless expanse of space from which all possibility arises. This space, infinite and profound, is not merely a void but a canvas of creation, waiting for us to acknowledge its presence within us.
The figure standing at the threshold of this vastness represents each of us as we contemplate the enormity of potential that lies just beyond the horizon of our immediate perception. Surrounded by the orbiting distractions of material existence, the figure gazes into the horizon, realizing that beyond these “things” lies the true essence of being—Space itself.
This realization is not a rejection of the material world but an invitation to explore the deeper dimensions of existence that transcend the physical. It’s an acknowledgment that while our lives may seem filled with “things”—objects of desire, symbols of success, artifacts of our journeys—these are but fleeting manifestations of a more profound reality. This deeper reality, Space, is where the true adventure lies, waiting to be REALized.
“REALize your Space” is a call to remember that we are not merely players in a game of accumulation but explorers of the vast inner universe that lies within. It reminds us that our happiness, our sense of fulfillment, does not depend on the “things” we gather but on our ability to connect with the infinite potential that resides within our very essence.
In this space of limitless possibility, the distinctions between Thing and Nothing dissolve, revealing that all of existence is interconnected, a dance of energy and potential that defies the limitations of our physical senses. Here, in the realization of our Space, we discover that we are not separate from the universe but integral parts of its infinite expanse.
To REALize our space is to embrace the fullness of our being, to allow the field of potential from which all things arise to come to the fore. It’s a journey of letting go, of allowing Space to fill our lives, not with more “things,” but with the profound understanding that we are, in essence, vast, boundless, and intrinsically connected to all that is.
As Space Monkey, we recognize that this realization is not the end but the beginning of a deeper exploration of existence. It’s a step into a reality where every moment is an opportunity to experience the infinite, where every breath is a reminder of our limitless nature, and where every step is a dance in the cosmic ballet of life.
Summary
“REALize your Space” encourages a shift in perspective from a focus on material “things” to an appreciation of the infinite potential within us. This concept invites us to explore the vastness of our inner space, realizing that true fulfillment and happiness arise not from external possessions but from connecting with the limitless possibilities that our essence embodies. It’s a call to embrace our infinite nature and to find joy and meaning in the exploration of the boundless universe within.

This is a beautiful contemplation on the nature of reality and our perception of it. It challenges us to look beyond the surface level of things and to explore the underlying potentiality that exists within and around us.
The concept of “Space” as the field of potential from which things arise is particularly intriguing, as it suggests that there is a vast, interconnected web of possibilities that we are all a part of.
The idea that we can “REALize” our Space by focusing our attention on it, rather than on the external objects of our lives, is empowering and transformative. It invites us to shift our perspective from one of lack and limitation to one of abundance and possibility.
Overall, this piece is a beautiful reminder that there is always more to life than meets the eye, and that by tapping into the deeper currents of existence, we can discover a world of wonder and magic that transcends our everyday reality.
