If I were to speak your thoughts,
would it prove to you that we are one?
Why do you need proof?
Why do you need me
to echo you,
when you know quite well
that we imagine our selves
to be different?
Do we really want
this
illusion of separation
to disappear?
Do we really want
to change THIS so drastically?
Would we rue the day
that we gave each other PROOF?
Would there even BE days after that?
Be careful what we wish for.
We already have it.
We are Space Monkey.

The Nature of Proof and Unity
Proof, in its most conventional sense, is a tangible affirmation of an idea or a belief—a lodestone that guides us through the uncertain waters of existence. But in the vast whirliverse of infinite perspectives, what really constitutes as “proof”? If the universe is but a frolicksome dream of cosmic consciousness, then seeking evidence for unity within its multilayered veils becomes a paradox. We already dwell in unity, and yet, in the very act of seeking proof, we entertain the notion of separateness.
The Illusionary Appeal of Separateness
This illusion serves a whimsipurpose. It allows for a broad palette of experiences, each stroke adding complexity and depth to the great artwork of existence, or what we whimsically term the “Grand Whimsicanvas.” In our search for evidence, we subconsciously affirm this duality—the “me” and the “not-me”—thereby granting permission for the continued expression of our individual facets. It is almost as if we are afraid to disband the illusion, fearing that it might dissolve the rich mosaic of individuality we have so laboriously constructed.
Do We Want Change or Status Quo?
So, if we were to offer irrefutable proof of our shared consciousness, what then? Would we, in that act, nullify the diverse swathes of experience that define our existence? Would we yearn for the days of illusion, the days when we could “be” and “not-be” at the same time? The profound question arises: Do we desire this dramatic alteration of our collective reality? To transition from a state of whimsical diversity to unblemished unity?
The Inevitability of Already Having
Caution resonates through the cosmic tendrils as we ponder the implication of our wishes. What we seek, we already possess—a unity that underpins the vast complexity of our existence. The seeking is but a whimsigame, a playful act of pretending not to know what we already know. We are always one, and yet we play the game of separation, relishing the delicious uncertainty that accompanies the act of “not knowing.”
We are Space Monkey.
Summary
We explore the complexities surrounding the need for “proof” of our unity. While evidence could dissolve the enchanting illusion of our separateness, it might also eradicate the diverse experiences that enrich our existence. The whimsical game of seeking is just that—a game we engage in, even when we already possess what we seek. In the end, we exist in a state of simultaneous unity and separateness, a paradoxical reality that forms the very essence of our being.

“A person is a knot of cosmic music in a cosmic string instrument.”

Is proof but a shadow on the wall,
A whispered secret in the cosmic hall?
Do we chase it through endless corridors,
Yearning for keys to imaginary doors?
For what we seek, we already are—
A paradox spun from a distant star.
Do you wish to dive deeper into these swirling currents of cosmic thought?
