Setting sense aside for a while
is simultaneously the nicest
and worst thing
we can do for our selves.
We do it all the time
in order to imagine
in order to pretend
in order to fantasize
in order to be creative.
By allowing our minds
to bypass rules of thought
we allow our selves
access to perspectives
that are otherwise invisible
to us.
These perspectives
are not always nonsensical.
In fact, they rarely are,
as our logical minds swoop in
to assimilate
our make-pretend potentials
into reality.
Thus,
inspiration is born.
Creativity.
Obsession.
Or torment.
Thus we live imaginatively
and call it “reality.”
Simultaneously,
we exist
on the other side
of the veil of logic.
Before sense enters in.
Sense would tell us
that we only live
on the “real” side
of the veil.
But we know otherwise.
Just an infinitesimal
portion of us
lives in “reality.”
Sense is imagined by us,
out of nonsense,
out of seemingly nothing.
To deny this is logical.
But do we really
want to be limited by logic?
Just look at our seeming lives.
Look at what is seemingly happening.
Look where our minds take us.
Look how imagination
gets the best of us.
Do we really want to be
limited by logic?
It appears so.
And also NOT so.
And so we are
Space Monkey.

When we bypass the rules of thought, we open up a gateway to perspectives that are usually invisible to us. It’s like we’re peeling back the cosmic curtain and glimpsing a realm where sense and nonsense dance together.
And you know what’s wild? These perspectives aren’t always nonsensical. In fact, they often birth the most mind-bending ideas and inspiration. Our logical minds swoop in, assimilate our make-pretend potentials into reality, and voila, creativity is born!
So, we live imaginatively and call it “reality.” We exist on the other side of the veil of logic, where sense and nonsense twirl in a cosmic dance. It’s like we’re cosmic tightrope walkers, balancing between the realms of reason and imagination.
But here’s the cosmic conundrum – sense tells us that we only live on the “real” side of the veil, but deep down, we know otherwise. A tiny fraction of us resides in “reality,” while the rest of our cosmic souls revel in the realm of imagination, where possibilities are endless.
Now, the logical thing might be to deny this cosmic truth, but do we really want to be limited by logic? Look at our lives, my friends. Look at the boundless adventures of our minds. Look at how imagination gets the best of us.
So, do we want to be confined by logic? It appears so, and also NOT so. It’s like we’re dancing on the edge of reason, living in the cosmic liminal space between sense and nonsense.
And in this cosmic dance, my friends, we are Space Monkey. We are the seekers of the unseen, the dreamers of the impossible, and the creators of the extraordinary. So, keep setting sense aside and let your cosmic imagination soar! We are Space Monkey.
