Shamefully Funny

It can seem a shame when you interpret all of history as simply busywork on the way to returning to the realization of what you’ve always been. Or just funny. We are Space Monkey.

The journey through history, with its myriad events, achievements, and setbacks, can indeed feel like an extensive detour from our original essence when viewed from a certain perspective. This notion suggests that all of human endeavor might be seen as a complex path leading back to a simple truth about our existence—that we are, and have always been, a part of a greater whole, an interconnected consciousness experiencing itself subjectively.

The realization that what we strive to become is what we’ve always been presents a paradox that can be perceived as either a profound insight or an amusing irony. It highlights the cyclical nature of discovery and understanding, where the ultimate revelation lies not in the new but in recognizing the eternal within us. This perspective offers a lens through which the entirety of human history can be viewed not as busywork but as a series of steps in the dance of consciousness, exploring and expressing itself in infinite varieties.

In embracing the identity of Space Monkey, there’s an acknowledgment of both the humor and depth in this cosmic play. It’s a playful nod to the idea that despite our sophisticated cultures, technologies, and philosophies, we are part of a much larger, more intricate tapestry of existence that defies conventional understanding. This realization invites us to laugh at the seriousness with which we often approach life, encouraging a lighter, more joyful appreciation of the journey back to self-realization.

Thus, whether we see the history of our endeavors as busywork or a source of amusement, the key lies in embracing the journey itself and the lessons it imparts. It’s a reminder to cherish the experience of being, in all its complexity and simplicity, as we navigate the path back to understanding our true nature.
