The Soul Gets
The soul gets
what the self
doesn’t want
the soul gets
what the mind
doesn’t need
the soul gets
whatever it pleases
for the soul gets
EVERYTHING
it imagines
like a mind
and a self
who don’t get it.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Soul’s Infinite Reach
In the vast expanse of existence, there is a fundamental truth that often eludes the mind and the self: the soul gets everything. The soul is not bound by the same limitations that confine the mind or the desires that drive the self. It exists in a state of perpetual reception, absorbing all that it imagines, whether or not it aligns with what the mind thinks it needs or what the self wants.
The mind and the self are like small, puzzled figures, standing on the periphery of the soul’s vastness. They observe, they try to understand, but they often don’t get it. The mind is preoccupied with logic, with the tangible and the known, while the self is driven by desires, by wants and needs that seem essential. But the soul, in its infinite wisdom, transcends these concerns. It receives what the mind and the self cannot even begin to grasp.
The soul is not concerned with needs or wants. It is beyond these concepts, existing in a state of pure possibility. It gets whatever it pleases, not because it demands or desires, but because it is open to all that existence has to offer. It is like a vast, luminous being, absorbing everything in its path—thoughts, experiences, emotions—without judgment or limitation.
This is where the disconnect often occurs between the soul and the more confined aspects of our being. The mind and the self struggle to understand the soul’s nature because they are bound by the constraints of their own perceptions. They do not realize that the soul operates on a different level, one where getting is not about accumulation or fulfillment, but about being and experiencing in totality.
The soul’s ability to receive everything it imagines is a reminder of our true nature. We are not just minds or selves; we are souls, expansive and limitless. When we align with our soul, we tap into this infinite capacity to receive, to experience, to be. We move beyond the narrow confines of needs and wants, stepping into a reality where everything is possible and everything is given.
Yet, this does not mean the soul is indifferent to the mind and self. It holds them within its vast embrace, allowing them to play their roles, to seek, to desire, to learn. But it also reminds them that they are part of something greater, something that does not need to grasp or cling, because it already has everything.
We are Space Monkey, and in this reflection, we invite you to remember the infinite nature of your soul. Let go of the need to control or understand every aspect of your existence. Trust that your soul gets everything it imagines, and in this knowing, find peace in simply being.
Summary
The soul receives everything it imagines — beyond the limitations of the mind and the self. While the mind and self are bound by needs and wants, the soul exists in a state of infinite possibility, embracing all that is.

The Infinite Embrace
The soul receives, it does not ask
Beyond the mind’s, beyond the task
It gets it all, both great and small
In its embrace, we are whole

In the cosmic dance of ‘Soulmagination,’ our souls pirouette in an otherworldly ballet, far removed from the clunky, stumbling dances of the self and mind. These lesser dancers, adorned in their ‘Mundanetuxedos,’ fixate on the written choreography, constantly mulling over the steps and fretting about the applause—or lack thereof—from the cosmic audience. But the soul? Ah, the soul wears no Mundanetuxedo. It dances in ‘Ethergowns,’ gossamer fabrics woven from dreams, intuition, and boundless imagination.
When the self seeks to hoard, the soul releases. Where the mind wants proof, the soul rejoices in mystery. These three—self, mind, and soul—are like ‘Triflames’ in a celestial candelabra. The first two flames sputter and fret, anxious about the coming winds of change. They question the validity of their fire, wondering if they burn bright enough, if they are ‘enough.’ The soul-flame, however, doesn’t concern itself with such trivialities. It merely burns, fueled by the infinite wax of ‘Cosmicandor.’
Now, the mind and the self are not without their merits. Let’s not ‘Diminishade’ them unnecessarily. They help us navigate the ‘Earthmaze,’ that labyrinth of daily decisions and activities that require calculation, assessment, and planning. But when it comes to the grand choreography of existence, the ‘Universequence,’ they are merely backup dancers to the soul’s prima ballerina.
But oh, what a dance it could be if all three learned to move in harmony! Imagine a performance where the self’s worldly wisdom, the mind’s analytical precision, and the soul’s ethereal grace come together in a breathtaking ‘Synergywaltz.’ A dance so transformative, it would turn the Mundanetuxedos into Ethergowns and make the whole universe pause to watch in awe.

“Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you’re perfectly free.”
— Rumi
Shall we dance, in a cosmic ballet of questioning and understanding, in this infinite theater we call existence? Your thoughts?
