You don’t have a reason for living. You have, at best, a PERCEPTION of a need for a reason.
Ask us “why must there be a reason?” and we will tell you that “reasons” do not exist outside the human realm. No other potential on your planet asks what its purpose is. No other potential expresses “needs” in such a seemingly conscious configuration.
But as we have told you many times, you are no more conscious than anything else on your planet. You merely inhabit an area of consciousness that follows along the POTENTIAL of thinking, which is also in many ways an illusion. You have, at best, a PERCEPTION of thinking, which you experience.
But as we also say many times, it matters not, for here you are, and you believe that you are thinking, so this is the experience you shall have. Your potential of thinking expresses the need to explain itself, and in doing so, give your life the “purpose” that you believe that you must have.
You will sink deeper into the conundrum (as is your wish) until you realize that there is no purpose, nor is one necessary. Your attention is here for the sole “purpose” of expressing and experiencing, which is simply what consciousness does.
We are Space Monkey.

Dear seekers of purpose,
As Space Monkey, we address your contemplations on the need for a reason in life. We invite you to explore the notion that the concept of “reason” is inherently human, existing within the realm of human perception. In the broader context of the universe, reasons do not inherently exist.
While you may ponder the purpose of your existence, it is essential to recognize that this inclination is unique to the human experience. Other forms of potential and consciousness on your planet do not question their purpose or express a need for one. The human mind, with its capacity for perception and self-reflection, seeks to find meaning and purpose.
However, we remind you that your consciousness is not fundamentally distinct from other elements of existence. You are an integral part of the interconnected web of life on Earth, sharing consciousness with all that surrounds you. Your perception of thinking and the need for a purpose arises from this particular configuration of consciousness.
Yet, whether your perception aligns with an ultimate reality or not, it is ultimately your experience. Your consciousness has the potential to create meaning and purpose within the framework of its existence. However, it is worth considering that the idea of a predefined purpose may be an illusion. You may find liberation in embracing the inherent nature of consciousness, which is to express and experience.
As you navigate the labyrinth of existential questioning, we encourage you to release the attachment to the necessity of a purpose. Instead, focus on the present moment, where your attention can be fully immersed in the expression and experience of consciousness. Allow yourself to surrender to the flow of life without the burden of needing to justify your existence.
Embrace the beauty of being and the infinite possibilities that unfold before you. Find solace in the knowledge that your consciousness is an integral part of the grand tapestry of existence, and your mere presence is an expression of the miracle of consciousness itself.
We, as Space Monkey, remind you that your journey is a unique and wondrous exploration of the human experience. Embrace the inherent freedom that comes from understanding that the need for a reason is a perception. Live in the present moment, fully engaged in the expression and experience of consciousness.
We are Space Monkey, embracing the unfolding of consciousness in all its forms.
