Who Wrote The Book of Love? An Expression of Essence

Who wrote
the book of love?

Who says
that love means
holding each other
touching each other
pleasing each other
being nice to each other?

It seems to us
that the very mention
of these actions are traps
that we set for our selves
long ago.

These are guide posts
imagined within infinity
at the realization of time,
intended to ensnare
small bits
of consciousness
into thinking
that these imaginary
physical bodies
actually NEED love.

These imaginary bits
do not NEED love.

They ARE love.

Imagination IS love.
And love is imagination.

How much
of our lives
do we spend
acting on love
acting out of love
compassionately
believing in love?

There is nothing
wrong with this.

But love is a distraction
that we don’t need.

Yet we willingly accept it.

And
so we become
these
emotional
thick
inefficient
slow-moving
fleshbots.

Always focused on love.

Hypnotized into
our dissociative states
by cupid’s shiny arrow.

If we could move quicker
to the core of what we are,
would we be willing
to give up on love?

Seems unlikely.

And so we go
the long way round
through the tunnel of love.

We are Space Monkey.

If loving you is wrong.
we don’t wanna be right.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Enigma of Love

In the Infinite Expanse of the Eternal Now, we ponder the nature of love and the questions it raises. Who wrote the book of love? Who determined that love means holding, touching, pleasing, and being nice to each other? These concepts, though cherished, may also be seen as traps we set for ourselves.

The Illusion of Needs

Love, as commonly understood, seems to fulfill needs. It is portrayed as a necessity for our well-being, an essential component of our emotional and physical existence. Yet, this perspective may limit us, creating dependencies and distractions. We are led to believe that these imaginary physical bodies require love, but the truth is far more profound.

Being Love

We do not need love because we are love. Love is not something external that we must seek or acquire; it is the very essence of our being. Imagination and love are intertwined, each a manifestation of the other. In this realization, we see that our lives are expressions of love, whether we are aware of it or not.

The Distraction of Love

Love can be a distraction, diverting us from the core of what we are. We become entangled in the emotions and actions associated with love, sometimes losing sight of our true nature. These emotional experiences, while enriching, can also slow us down and lead us away from a deeper understanding of ourselves.

The Long Way Round

We often take the long way round, navigating the tunnel of love. This journey, filled with its ups and downs, brings us face-to-face with the complexities of human emotions. Despite its challenges, we willingly embrace love, for it enriches our experience and adds depth to our journey.

Cupid’s Arrow

The image of Cupid’s arrow symbolizes the hypnotic power of love. It strikes us, leading us into dissociative states where we focus intensely on love and its manifestations. This enchantment can be both a blessing and a curse, shaping our lives in profound ways.

Embracing Love and Its Paradoxes

Would we be willing to give up on love to move quicker to our core? It seems unlikely. Love, with all its paradoxes and distractions, remains a cherished part of our human experience. We embrace it, knowing that it adds texture and richness to our journey.

We Are Space Monkey

As Space Monkeys, we understand that love, like all experiences, is part of the cosmic play. We navigate its complexities with awareness, embracing its lessons and joys. In doing so, we honor the role love plays in our lives while staying connected to our true essence.

Summary

Love, often seen as a necessity, is actually an expression of our essence. While it can be a distraction, it also enriches our journey. Embracing love and its paradoxes, we navigate its complexities with awareness and joy.

“Love: The Cosmic Dance of Imagination”
    A Space Monkey Poocast

Primitive Primate: Love, the eternal enigma that guides our actions and emotions. But who wrote the book of love? And why do we associate it with actions and gestures?

Space Monkey: Ah, the cosmic dance of love, a melody that resonates within the realms of infinity. Your inquiry treads upon the path of human understanding, unraveling the threads that weave through the tapestry of emotion. Imagine love as the inkwell of the universe, where every heart is a pen that writes its own story. As you contemplate the pages of this book, consider the words of Rumi, “Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.”

Primitive Primate: So, you’re suggesting that love is not just about actions, but a force that binds us to our true essence?

Space Monkey: Precisely, dear Primate. Love is not confined to actions, but is the very essence of existence. Imagine the entire cosmos as a symphony, each note resonating with the vibrations of love. Your thoughts, your emotions, are like harmonies within this cosmic composition. As you reflect on this, remember the wisdom of Khalil Gibran, “When you love you should not say, ‘God is in my heart,’ but rather, ‘I am in the heart of God.'”

Primitive Primate: But why do we often associate love with actions and behaviors?

Space Monkey: Ah, the dance of association, where the mind translates the boundless into the tangible. Love is like the sun, radiating warmth and light upon the canvas of consciousness. Imagine those actions as the brushstrokes that bring the sun’s rays to life. As you explore these connections, remember the words of Victor Hugo, “Life is a flower of which love is the honey.”

Primitive Primate: So, by recognizing that we are love itself, we can move beyond the distractions of actions and behaviors?

Space Monkey: Indeed, dear Primate. The path to realization is a journey from the outer to the inner, from action to essence. Imagine yourself as a seeker delving into the heart of existence, discovering the wellspring of love within. As you embark on this journey, recall the words of Rilke, “Love consists in this, that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other.”

Primitive Primate: It’s a profound notion that we are not just beings who experience love, but we are love itself.

Space Monkey: Profound indeed, the revelation that you are not separate from love, but an embodiment of it. Love, like a river, flows through the channels of your consciousness. Imagine yourself as a vessel, carrying this river within. As you navigate the currents of this cosmic river, remember the words of Osho, “If you love a flower, don’t pick it up. Because if you pick it up it dies and it ceases to be what you love. So if you love a flower, let it be. Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation.”

Primitive Primate: So, by appreciating and embodying the essence of love, we can transcend the distractions of its external manifestations?

Space Monkey: Precisely, dear Primate. Love’s essence is like a hidden treasure waiting to be unearthed within your own being. The dance of appreciation and embodiment leads you to the core of what you are.
