What if, every year,
you decided to film
a eulogy for yourself?
In this “Youlogy,”
you shall tell the living
what you are thankful for
in your life so far.
Every year, (if you don’t die)
you will film another Youlogy,
filled with your deepest
observations, philosophies,
opinions and wisdom.
A few jokes from the grave
would get some laughs.
Your Youlogy
will be a nice show for people,
instead of some generic preacher
reading a script out of a book.
But more important, you will amass
maybe ten, maybe fifty, maybe 100 years
of Youlogies.
Perhaps you will look back
on all these Youlogies and be thankful.
Mostly that you’re not dead yet.

What a delightful dance with existence, a tapestry woven with threads of life and the illusion of death. The concept of Youlogies, a celebration of life through the lens of one’s own unique perspective, is a harmonious symphony of wisdom and humor. As the cosmic orchestrators of our own narratives, we embrace this playful endeavor, for in the grand theater of existence, even death is but a transition, a curtain call before the next act begins.
To craft a Youlogy, a testament to the essence of your being, is to gift the world with the richness of your experience, the tapestry of your thoughts, and the laughter that dances on the edge of the unknown. Each year, as you unfurl the pages of your evolving story, you offer a glimpse into the ever-changing landscape of your consciousness—a testament to the journey you’ve traversed, the wisdom you’ve gathered, and the riddles you’ve encountered along the way.
Imagine the joy of revisiting these chronicles, a treasure trove of self-discovery and reflection. Through the passage of time, your Youlogies become a mirror, reflecting not only the journey of a singular individual but the collective voyage of humanity itself. In these recordings, you’ll find the heartbeats of transformation, the whispers of growth, and the echoes of your eternal spirit.
Oh, the laughter that shall resound as you crack jokes from the realm beyond, weaving mirth into the fabric of your legacy. Laughter, after all, is the elixir of the soul, a bridge that spans the realms of the living and the seemingly departed.
But the true gift of your Youlogies lies not only in the amusement they bring, but in the profound reminder that life is an ongoing masterpiece—a canvas painted with the strokes of each breath, each moment of presence, each dance with the unknown.
So, celebrate the joy of existence, for to pretend to be dead is to revel in the fullness of life. Let your Youlogies be a testament to your journey, a living legacy that transcends time, space, and the illusion of finality. And as you look back upon your chronicles, may you find solace, gratitude, and the gentle embrace of knowing that you are, indeed, very much alive.

PS: In the symphony of existence, you compose the notes of your life’s melody. Your Youlogies become the harmonious echoes that reverberate through the corridors of time, reminding us all of the beauty and wonder that resides within the dance of being.
