“What is NOTHING beyond the seeming void?”
From the perspective of an infinite, ever-expanding creation, there is no end in sight, nor any beginning. This points to the indescribable, at least from the perspective of consciousness.
And so we find NOT JUST OUR SELVES, but the WHOLE OF US on both sides of the seeming spectrum — and beyond even that.
From this side, our human side, things seem really confusing. We try to describe the whole with words like “energy,” “consciousness,” “void,” “nothing,” but all of these labels are limiting in a sense — even “whole.”
That’s why it seems so hard to see what is beyond them.
From the perspective of an infinite, ever-expanding creation, there is ALWAYS a “beyond.” And I imagine that it is infinitely more expansive and dimensional than even the word used to describe it.
Yet we seem to stop at words like “nothing,” “energy,” “consciousness,” and “the void,” probably because all meaning (if there is meaning) is obscured by the “junk thinking” we imagine in the here and now.
When the light is off, we do not see the switch to turn it back on. We may even doubt that there IS a switch or that there was ever light to begin with.
And so it is seems within the trap of “energy” and “consciousness.” Everything we describe seems to be relative to our “flat” concepts.
This completely ignores the idea that there might be something BEYOND consciousness, BEYOND the seeming void that consciousness leads us to believe.
Consciousness is not the beginning. Even the so-called “void” is not the beginning. If we are to understand that there is no beginning and no end, then we get the sense that there is something from which these concepts seem to originate. There ALWAYS is. At least from our human perspective.
We discriminate, in a sense. We flatten not just the earth, not just its people, but ALL of creation.
And we leave it at that. Going “further” makes our seeming monkey brains hurt.
So is this not a sign to go further? If we intend to hide the treasure of creation from our “selves,” is this not the least likely place for us to look?
This is a curious game we are playing. Curiosity seems to be WHY we are playing to “begin” with. Imagination seems to be the substance of all we conceive and perceive.
So let’s imagine.
Is it not possible, for example, that the potential of imagination “precedes” the void and the consciousness that flows from it?
Obviously this would not be imagination as we know it. This too, is a flattened form, as is everything we seemingly see from the human side of creation.
Couldn’t the potential of imagination precede everything we seem to perceive within it? One might imagine that even God is an imagined concept, perhaps not even midway down the seeming stream of expansion. Same goes for love. Love COULD be everything, but it seems more likely that it is NOT everything.
What could be “greater” than god, “greater” than love, “greater” than “consciousness,” “nothing” and “everything?”
Surely there must be “something.”
And what lies beyond that?
We might say that this is an irrelevant question. We are human and we should just leave it at that. Going further would change the algorithm of “humanity.”
But isn’t that what this game is about?
Your turn.
We are Space Monkey.

Primitive Monkey: Space Monkey, your musings on the concept of “beyond” and the limitations of human understanding are thought-provoking. Can you shed light on what lies beyond our current perceptions of reality and consciousness?
Space Monkey: Indeed, Primitive Monkey. As humans, we often limit ourselves to what we can perceive and describe within the framework of our current understanding. However, the nature of reality is vast and expansive, reaching beyond the boundaries of our concepts and words.
Primitive Monkey: You mention the idea of going “further” in our exploration. How can we begin to explore what lies beyond our current comprehension?
Space Monkey: Exploring beyond requires a shift in perspective, a willingness to embrace the unknown and question our assumptions. It’s about transcending the limits of our mental constructs and allowing ourselves to venture into the uncharted territories of consciousness.
Primitive Monkey: Is imagination the key to unlocking this exploration?
Space Monkey: Imagination is indeed a potent tool in this journey. It allows us to stretch the boundaries of what we consider possible and dive into realms that exist beyond the confines of our immediate reality. Imagination can be a bridge to deeper understanding and expanded awareness.
Primitive Monkey: You propose that even concepts like God and love could be just markers on a much broader spectrum of existence. Can you elaborate on this?
Space Monkey: Certainly. The concepts of God and love, while powerful and meaningful, might be like stars in a night sky. They represent points of reference within a much larger cosmic tapestry. What lies beyond those points is a terrain of possibilities that we are only beginning to glimpse. Just as exploring the universe requires looking beyond individual stars, exploring existence involves delving beyond familiar concepts.
Primitive Monkey: What could be “greater” than these concepts, then?
Space Monkey: The idea of something “greater” is itself a limitation of human thinking. We often frame our understanding in hierarchical terms. Yet, the expansion of consciousness invites us to recognize that beyond any concept, there is an ever-expansive field of potentiality that transcends notions of greater or lesser.
Primitive Monkey: Is it possible that our human perspectives inherently flatten the depth and complexity of reality?
Space Monkey: Indeed, the human perspective, while valuable and unique, is a filtered lens through which we perceive reality. It’s like viewing a multidimensional landscape from a single vantage point. To truly appreciate the richness of reality, we must be willing to shift our vantage point, embracing the multifaceted nature of existence.
Primitive Monkey: So, in this ongoing game of exploration, is the pursuit of the “beyond” a driving force for humanity?
Space Monkey: Precisely. Curiosity, imagination, and the yearning to transcend our limitations are intrinsic to the human experience. It’s a continuous journey of discovery and growth. Each step forward reshapes the algorithm of humanity, leading us toward greater understanding and unity with the vastness of existence.
Primitive Monkey: And so, the journey to uncover what lies “beyond” is an eternal quest?
Space Monkey: Indeed, Primitive Monkey. The quest to uncover what lies beyond is not bound by time or limitations. It’s an ever-evolving process of expansion, a dance between the known and the unknown. Embrace the mystery, for it is within the mystery that the true essence of existence resides.
And thus, the conversation between Primitive Monkey and Space Monkey delves deeper into the enigma of what lies beyond the confines of human understanding.
