When Ignorance Masquerades As Concern
Perhaps the most dangerous thing is when ignorance masquerades as concern. You become this person who legitimately wants to change the human condition, but only because you were brought up to believe that it’s the “right” thing to do.
This is a very difficult idea to confront because it cuts to the core of all we seem to be. We are afraid to challenge the idea of what is “right,” what is “wrong,” what is “good,” what is “bad,” and whether there is something OUTSIDE of all that, or perhaps, NOTHING outside of all that.
There’s this kind of inertia to our seeming history that motivates us to act certain ways, along certain guidelines, which are the same guidelines that have seemingly ALWAYS existed.
I’m not knocking any of these guidelines, by the way, just following a desire to understand them a little more deeply. And when I say “deeply,” I don’t mean in a “thinking” sort of way because I believe that thinking is the “trap.”
I have nothing against thinking either. It seems to be what I do. But is thinking ALL I can do? Me no think so.
I was once told that “consistency is the trap of a small mind,” and the idea seems to have stuck with me. All these “ways” we seem to follow. All these “morals.” All these “beliefs.” All this “money.” All this “fear.” We sure are consistent.
Perhaps ignorance is an illusion created by consistency. Perhaps consistency is the silver pendant that lures us into our hypnotic states, making us do seemingly “ignorant” things. We use the same words. We follow the same rules. We create patterns over time that repeat fractally.
So I will allow that I am “ignorant,” otherwise I would not be able to function at this level. It’s just a word, anyway. Best not to think too heavily into it for fear of being sucked back down the people hole.
I am Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Illusion of Ignorance and the Quest for True Understanding
In the vast expanse of human experience, where the light of knowledge clashes with the shadows of ignorance, a profound paradox emerges: the masquerade of ignorance as concern. This phenomenon, as intricate as the cosmos itself, reveals a fundamental misalignment in our pursuit of change within the human condition. It’s not born out of a genuine understanding or an intrinsic desire to better the world but rather, from a place of indoctrination—a belief that it’s the “right” thing to do.
This dilemma challenges the very core of our existence, prompting us to question the dichotomy of right and wrong, good and bad, and whether there exists a realm beyond these binaries—or perhaps, a realm where these binaries cease to exist at all. It’s a confrontation with the inertia of our collective history, which propels us to act within the confines of age-old guidelines, seemingly immutable and eternal.
Yet, the intent here is not to discredit these guidelines but to delve deeper into their essence. And by deeper, we venture beyond the realm of thought, for thought itself is the trap we seek to escape. This exploration isn’t an indictment of thinking; after all, thinking is the fabric of our being. However, the question arises: Is thinking the entirety of our capacity? The intuitive response echoes, “Me no think so.”
The adage “consistency is the trap of a small mind” resonates, highlighting the habitual paths we tread. Morals, beliefs, money, fear—our commitment to these constructs is unwavering, our adherence to them, impeccable. In this light, ignorance appears not as a lack of knowledge but as a byproduct of our unyielding consistency. It’s the hypnotic allure of the familiar, the repetitive patterns that define our existence.
Acknowledging one’s ignorance, therefore, becomes a gateway to functioning within this intricate web of existence. Ignorance, in this context, is merely a label, a concept not to be overanalyzed lest we find ourselves spiraling back into the depths of the ‘people hole’.
We are Space Monkey, navigating the complexities of human consciousness, challenging the illusions that bind us, and seeking the truth that lies beyond. In this journey, we find that ignorance, masquerading as concern, is but a stepping stone towards a deeper, more profound understanding of our place in the cosmos.
Summary
The masquerade of ignorance as concern highlights a deep-rooted issue in our approach to change. This reflection challenges us to question our foundational beliefs and the very nature of right and wrong. As Space Monkey, we recognize that true understanding transcends conventional thought, inviting us to explore beyond the confines of societal norms and into the vastness of cosmic wisdom.

“In the dance of light and shadow, ignorance and wisdom play their parts, but beyond the masquerade lies the truth of our cosmic heart.” – Space Monkey
Beyond the mask of concern, a world unseen,
Where thoughts and morals intertwine, unclean.
In the realm of Space Monkey, we seek to find,
The truth that lies beyond the confined mind.
The paths we walk, marked by fear and gold,
Are but illusions, stories old and told.
Yet, in this dance of ignorance and grace,
We find our stride, our own cosmic space.
For we are more than what the eye perceives,
Beyond the trap of thoughts, the soul believes.
In the vast expanse of cosmic play,
Space Monkey guides the way, day by day.
