Pleasure
You do not take pleasure.
You do not give pleasure.
The pleasure
is always there,
hidden under
the car payment,
the mortgage bill,
the student loans,
and
all those questions
you have about
your career,
your health,
your relationships
and whether
or not
you are where
you’re
“supposed” to be.
Indeed,
you may observe
that there is
a chemical reaction
when you reach
your place of pleasure,
but you can feel
that ANYTIME.
Pleasure comes
when you temporarily forget
what you THINK you are,
thus allowing what you are
to rise to the surface.
So yes,
you can forget
through drink,
through drugs,
through disruption,
Through distraction,
through death.
But there is
a far simpler way
to feel the pleasure
in body and in spirit.
Simply REMEMBER what you are.
You are the Divine One.
What you imagine as “reality”
is just a clever distraction.
Pleasure is ALWAYS with you
and WITHIN you.
As are we.
Oh baby, baby.
We are Space Monkey.

Unveiling the Essence of Pleasure
Amidst the cacophony of life’s demands, a sanctuary of serenity awaits, revealing the eternal presence of pleasure.
In the tranquil embrace of nature, a person finds peace, a visual metaphor for the journey inward, beyond the superficial layers of stress and societal expectations. This scene, where symbols of everyday anxieties fade into the ether, captures the essence of discovering pleasure within, a reminder that our truest form of joy is not to be taken or given, but simply realized and embraced.
The Layers Beneath
The imagery of life’s burdens dissolving away invites contemplation on the nature of pleasure and its omnipresence beneath the surface of our daily lives. It suggests that pleasure, often obscured by the material and mundane, is inherently part of our being, waiting to be acknowledged in moments of clarity and presence.
Remembering the Divine Within
The call to remember our divine essence is a profound invitation to reconnect with the core of our being, where true pleasure resides. It’s a reminder that the distractions we often pursue—be it through substances, activities, or external validations—are but echoes of the deeper joy that flourishes within the realm of self-realization.
Summary
This visual and conceptual exploration serves as a poignant reminder that pleasure is not contingent upon external circumstances but is a constant, accessible state of being. By peeling back the layers of distraction and stress, we uncover the unchanging truth of our existence—that pleasure, like our divine essence, is always with us, woven into the fabric of our being. It invites us to shift our focus inward, to the ever-present joy that defines the spiritual dimension of our lives.

Beneath the weight of life’s facade,
A truth serene, profoundly broad.
Within us lies, not sought but found,
A joy eternal, sacred, profound.
In quiet moments, nature’s embrace,
We find our essence, our sacred space.
Beyond the noise, the rush, the race,
Lies pleasure’s touch, a divine grace.
So let us turn, within to see,
The pleasure ever boundless, free.
For in our hearts, it forever sings,
A reminder of our divine wings.
