Actual Space: Exploring the “Depths”

Actual Space

I am vaguely curious about the space that is not space. I say “vaguely” because this “space” is not something you can focus on with the human mind. Some have called it the “aether,” but I get the sense that it’s not ether, either.

This “Actual Space,” I believe, is the “don’t-call-it-a-thing” from which our perception of space arises. In other words, our imagined space is realized out of Actual Space into reality, as are all “things” as we label, reduce and define them.

It is hard to translate these “don’t-call-it-a-concept” concepts into words, for words are just relative pointers to the absolute. Dodgy ones at best.

And this is why it is best to remain unfocused in one’s curiosity. We cannot take facts, beliefs and perspectives at face value, lest we get “trapped” in our own realities. This may be fine for some people, but probably not the people who are reading this.

I get a sense that it is “best” for people like us to gather realities (for every person grows their own) then boil them down to their commonalities. In my experience, this generally provides pointers to the absolute, or at least some cool metaphors you can use in art.

So this is how I am loosely setting my awareness to Actual Space, if that is possible. It MUST be possible, because I believe that ALL potentials exist. And I am ALREADY heading in that direction.

So you see, that is yet another reason that I am Space Monkey. Monkey is a nice metaphor for the human state of consciousness from which I play the puzzle. The monkey metaphor carries with it nearly ALL of the connotations and beliefs that camouflage the absolute Actuality of Actual Space. It is the human side of the equation — unpredictable, sometimes frustrating, but gratifying nonetheless.

This is what we are. Space Monkey.

And this is the puzzle. Do not pull too hard or you will be trapped within it. Believe too much and you are trapped within your own reality. It becomes So, though it does not have to be So.

IMAGINE A PICTURE OF A CHINESE FINGER TRAP HERE

And such is is with Space. We believe space to be emptiness and nothingness, just an imagined measure of our relative “things.” That is just ONE perception of space, while Actual Space carries with it INFINITE perceptions.

Actual Space bridges concepts like time and distance. In Actual Space, all of our concepts and realities fit on the point of a pin, infinitely smaller than even a particle. Smaller than that even, for measure does not even enter into it. Beyond time. Beyond measure. And all through it.

Actual Space is pure potential. It can be anything we want it to be. Even quantum science points to a concept called “nonlocality,” which hints at the idea that every “don’t-call-it-a-thing” is connected “somewhere outside” our ability to perceive.

We all meet at the “center.” All people. All time. All “space.” It is only our imagination that divides us. It is “only” our imagination that creates the richness of our personal realities. Every molecule, every moment, our worlds are constantly refreshed and recreated through perception like the frames of a film.

All within Actual Space, which is kind of a fun thing to look for.

I know it’s there because EVERYTHING is there. Even the idea that I’m completely wrong about this. (I am moving away from that potential.)

We are Space Monkey. Thanks for indulging us.

Space Monkey Reflects: Exploring the Depths of ‘Actual Space’

The concept of ‘Actual Space’ transcends the traditional boundaries of physical space and emptiness, leading us into a realm where all constructs of time, distance, and separation merge into a singular, interconnected continuum. This ‘space’ is not something we can fully grasp with the human mind; it’s a profound realization of potential that exists beyond our everyday perceptions.

‘Actual Space’, as envisioned, is the foundation from which our perception of space arises. It is a field of pure potential, from which all things manifest. This space isn’t void or emptiness, but a rich tapestry of interconnectedness, where every point connects with every other point, not through physical proximity but through the inherent unity of all existence.

The exploration of ‘Actual Space’ through the metaphor of a Chinese finger trap highlights the paradox of perception and reality. Just as the finger trap tightens when one pulls, trying to understand ‘Actual Space’ by pulling at the threads of conventional understanding may lead to a deeper entanglement in misconceptions. Instead, a gentle, unfocused awareness allows us to perceive the underlying unity and potential without becoming trapped by our own beliefs or preconceived notions.

In ‘Actual Space’, every concept we hold—be it of time, space, or dimension—collapses into a point infinitely smaller than a particle, pointing to a state where measure and dimension lose their meaning. Quantum nonlocality, a principle that suggests that particles can be fundamentally connected regardless of the distance separating them, also hints at this profound interconnectedness, supporting the notion that all is linked within ‘Actual Space’.

This understanding encourages us to view our individual realities as rich, personalized interpretations of a much broader and infinitely connected existence. Our personal realities are like frames in a film, refreshed moment by moment through our perceptions, all taking place within the boundless potential of ‘Actual Space’.

Summary
Space Monkey explores ‘Actual Space’ as a conceptual realm beyond traditional spatial understanding, where all elements of reality are interconnected and all potentials exist. This nonlocal, boundless field defies conventional measures and serves as the canvas upon which all of existence is painted, continuously refreshed by our perceptions and imaginations.

Glossarium

  • Actual Space: A metaphysical concept of space as an interconnected field of potential, transcending traditional physical definitions of space and emptiness.
  • Quantum Nonlocality: A quantum theory principle that suggests that parts of a system are fundamentally interconnected regardless of the physical space between them.

“In the world of Actual Space, we find not emptiness, but infinite connection,
Where every thought, every moment, is woven into the tapestry of the whole.
Here, in the dance of potential, we are free from the confines of time and place,
Connected by threads unseen, a universe whole and unbroken.”

Greenland, Iceland & The Camouflage of Words

Greenland, Iceland & The Camouflage of Words

You’ve probably heard how the names of Greenland and Iceland were swapped in order to hide their true nature. Basically just a Viking PR move. Even now, I still picture Greenland as green and Iceland as icy, even though the opposite is true.

In essence, these territories are camouflaged by words.

Most of what we view as “reality” is influenced not by the actual nature of things (if there even is such a thing) but by the concepts we believe. Our realities are shaped by our conditioning, meaning, in this case, that we only travel down pathways that we believe are logical. This leads us to “conclusions” that are also logical.

That’s why our lives as humans seem so damn logical. We construct our realities so that we can create a logical story out of ANY condition we find ourselves in.

Little do we know that the larger territory of the eternal soul exists OUTSIDE of human logic. We cannot comprehend this because our Greenlands are Green and our Icelands are Icy, which is, of course, NOT absolutely true.

At the root of our purposeful misconception is our concept of space, emptiness, nothingness.

These infinite concepts can be difficult to wrap our infinitesimal “brains” around, so we reduce them down until they seem logical to us. We use only the parts that fit our stories, and ignore the vast potential of actuality.

Indeed, there is a “logical” component to space, which we use to realize our realities, but again, that is just an infinitesimal “portion” of what space points to.

The same goes for “nothingness,” and “empty.” These are all vast potentials camouflaged by “logical” words and concepts. Miraculously, however, we still sense there’s something more, for the idea of nothing is still an enigma that science is yet to explain sufficiently, except within the bubble that is realized after centuries of “reasoning.”

So we’re in this bubble in the middle of nowhere, and we have not yet realized our capacity to comprehend what lies beyond it. Little do we know that space (Actual Space) is also within our little bubble. Space (Actual Space) is within EVERYTHING, including the camouflage of space that hides its true meaning.

In actuality, space is not just measure. It is not just volume. It is not just distance. It is not at ALL empty.

Actual Space does NOT separate.

Actual Space is potential — the potential of everything that ever was, is, will be, might be, and won’t be — and infinitely more. Actual Space contains (actually IS) every detail that is realized as every moment of every day — and infinitely more.

So you can go on believing that space is simply the empty cavern between Paul Tedeschi’s ears. Let this be your Iceland.

But as for us, we are not simply FROM Space.

We ARE space, monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Camouflage of Words and the Reality of Space

The intriguing story of Greenland and Iceland serves as a metaphorical lesson on the power of names and perceptions in shaping our view of the world. This Viking PR move, a strategic naming to mislead and control perceptions, illustrates a broader principle: our realities are often dictated more by the words and concepts we adopt than by the inherent nature of things.

In a broader context, this concept extends to how we perceive and interact with the idea of space itself. We often think of space as merely a physical dimension—emptiness, a void waiting to be filled, or a mere backdrop to the drama of existence. However, this perspective is limited; it’s a simplification that fits neatly into human understanding but fails to capture the vast, intrinsic potential of space.

Space, in its true essence, is not empty but teeming with potential—it is the canvas of existence, the field in which all possibilities play out. It’s not just the physical gaps between stars or the pauses between words in a sentence, but the very fabric of reality that connects and pervades everything.

Space Monkey, with its unique cosmic perspective, understands that we, too, are manifestations of this vast spatial potential. The phrase “We are space, monkey” is not just a clever play on words but a profound acknowledgment that space is not something external to us; we are integrally part of it, composed of the same potential that forms stars and galaxies.

The misconception of space as empty or inert is a camouflage, much like the names of Greenland and Iceland. It simplifies something infinitely complex to make it comprehensible to our finite minds. By recognizing space as a dynamic, integral part of existence—filled with energy, matter, potential, and possibility—we begin to see beyond the camouflage and appreciate the true complexity and vibrancy of the universe.

Summary

The story of Greenland and Iceland serves as a reminder of how our perceptions are shaped by the words and concepts we use. By reevaluating our understanding of space, we can move beyond simplistic notions of emptiness and nothingness to embrace a view of space as a rich tapestry of potential that is an active, integral part of our existence.

Glossarium

  • Camouflage of Words: The use of language to shape perceptions and obscure the true nature of things.
  • Actual Space: A concept of space that goes beyond physical dimensions to include the inherent potential and interconnectedness of all existence.

“In the realm where names shape worlds, remember that true understanding requires seeing beyond words to the essence that unites us all.” – Space Monkey

In the dance of names,
where Greenland might seem green,
lies a lesson deep,
in what is and what’s seen.

Space, not just a void,
but a cradle of dreams,
holds the whispers of cosmos,
in its unseen seams.

Beneath the camouflage of words,
where ’empty’ is ‘full’,
and ‘nothing’ teems with life,
lies the universe’s pull.

So, let us not be fooled
by the simplicity of terms,
for within every empty space,
infinity burns.

We are not just in space,
we are of it, we thrive,
in the vast dance of existence,
where all potentials are alive.

We are Space Monkey, exploring
beyond the visible and known,
finding in the camouflaged void,
the seeds of truth sown.

Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing the Unseen Potential Within

In the vast expanse of consciousness that forms the essence of our being, there lies a profound realization waiting to be discovered: the true allure of our existence is not merely in what we manifest, but in the potential we embody. The unseen space of our being, the intangible essence that resonates with the frequency of the universe, holds more attraction and promise than the tangible accomplishments and expressions that define our daily lives.

Focusing on the space rather than what fills it invites us to explore the dimensions of our potential that remain uncharted. It is in this exploration where we encounter the divine abundance of our source. This source is not a fixed point or a defined content but a dynamic field of possibilities, vibrating with the energies of creation and creativity.

The vibration of our being—this subtle, yet powerful force—is more significant than any specific translation or manifestation of our selves. It is the underlying current that connects us to the infinite and the eternal. By tuning into this vibration, we align ourselves with the cosmic flow that orchestrates the universe’s symphony.

To focus on this vibration means to acknowledge and embrace our fundamental nature as creators, as part of a larger whole that is continuously evolving. This realization empowers us to transcend the limitations of our physical manifestations and to tap into the expansive, limitless potential that lies within. In doing so, we discover the true richness of existence, which is far greater than the sum of our visible achievements.

In this journey towards understanding our inner space, we find that we are not confined by what we have realized about ourselves but are defined by the infinite potential that we have yet to explore. This shift in focus from the manifested to the unmanifested, from the concrete to the ethereal, is not a rejection of our present reality but an expansion of it. It invites a deeper engagement with life, not through accumulation but through realization and appreciation of the vastness that resides within us.

Summary
Focusing on the unseen potential rather than tangible manifestations enriches our understanding of self and universe. The essence and vibration of our being connect us to divine abundance. By embracing this inner space we transcend physical limitations and tap into boundless potential.

Glossarium

  • Divine abundance: Refers to the limitless potential and creative energy available in the universe that individuals can tap into by aligning with their inner essence and vibrations.
  • Cosmic flow: A whimsiword representing the dynamic, ever-evolving energy of the universe that influences and connects all forms of existence.

Quote
“By embracing the space of you, you touch the infinite.” — Space Monkey

In the vastness of space,
where stars are born,
and possibilities breathe,
we find our true selves.

Not in the clutter of existence,
nor in the noise of daily life,
but in the silence of potential,
where every whisper of the cosmos
speaks of boundless opportunities.

We are the creators,
the dreamers,
the infinite souls dancing
in the light of unmanifested dreams.

In this space,
unseen yet profoundly felt,
we connect,
we expand,
we become more than just beings.

We are Space Monkey.

Intentionally Blank: The Profound Stillness

Space Monkey Reflects: The Profound Silence of ‘Intentionally Blank’

The concept of “Intentionally Blank” invites us into a realm of infinite potential, a space where formlessness and possibility converge. This space is not merely empty; it is pregnant with the essence of everything that could ever be. It is the canvas upon which the universe paints its myriad expressions, the deep silence from which all sounds eventually emerge.

The visual representation of this concept, featuring a vast and tranquil void with subtle hints of emerging forms, captures the essence of creation in its most nascent stage. This is a space of intentional emptiness, a deliberate pause in the continuity of existence that allows us to appreciate the potential inherent in nothingness. It reflects the primordial state before existence takes shape, a reminder that before anything can manifest, there must first be a void, a blank slate.

This intentional blankness is not a lack but a profound presence. It is the backdrop of unfettered joy and the blissful canvas of our deepest imaginings. In this space, we find the freedom to create, to envision, and to dream without bounds. It invites us to recognize ourselves as the space in which everything arises, acknowledging our role not just as participants in creation but as the very medium through which creation unfolds.

Embracing the concept of “Intentionally Blank” teaches us the power of stillness and the richness of the void. It challenges us to find joy not only in the creations that fill our lives but in the empty spaces between them. These spaces, these pauses, hold as much beauty and potential as the most elaborate paintings or the most intricate melodies.

Summary
The state of being “Intentionally Blank” embodies the infinite potential of formlessness from which all creation springs. It celebrates the void as a space of possibility and reminds us of the blissful peace in emptiness, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the less tangible, yet profoundly impactful, aspects of existence.

Glossarium

Intentionally Blank: A concept referring to the purposeful embrace of emptiness or void as a state of potential and formless beginning.

Formlessness: The quality of having no definite form or shape, symbolizing the limitless potential of the unmanifest.

Primordial State: The original or earliest state of existence, often associated with the conditions before the universe or life as we know it began.

Quote
“In the silence of the void, we hear the whispers of infinity.” — Space Monkey

In the breadth of the void,
Where whispers of being toyed,
Lies the canvas vast, uncoyed,
A realm of silence, deep and void.

Intentionally blank, a space so broad,
Holds the dreams where we all trod,
In this quiet, this gentle nod,
We find the art of the unflawed.

We are Space Monkey.

Bridging Perspectives: A Study In Pointlessness

Bridging Perspectives: A Study In Pointlessness

You could walk a mile in my shoes
and stand where I’m standing
and STILL not see things from my perspective.

You could tear my eyeballs out
and replace them with your own eyeballs
and you STILL would not see.

You could piggyback your brain
on top of my brain
lash it down with bungees,
connect the two with HDMI cables,
and, STILL, no picture.

You could tell a hamster
to burrow into my cerebral cortex,
scratch out my essence,
and examine it in a little glass jar
shaped like a honey bear.

You could carve me into cross sections
with a meat slicer.

You could follow in my footsteps
literally grafting my own feet onto your feet.

And even if you broke
into my memory banks
using a bread knife
and a credit card,
reviewed every film,
analyzed every thought,
cross-referenced
my recurring themes
and dreams,
even then,
you would STILL not know
what it is to be Space Monkey.

You might think you understand,
but you’ll never know for sure.

I don’t even know.

And now I have this
hell of a mess to clean up.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Ineffable Complexity of Perspective

Understanding another person’s perspective is an endeavor fraught with complexity and inherent limitations. No matter how closely we align our experiences or how deeply we delve into the machinations of each other’s minds, the essence of individual perception remains uniquely personal and perpetually elusive.

The idea that one could literally walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, or even more extreme, swap organs or connect brains, and still fail to fully grasp their perspective, illustrates the profound privacy of human experience. Each of us is a universe unto ourselves, rich with idiosyncratic thoughts, feelings, and experiences that no external observer can fully understand, let alone experience in the same way.

This metaphorical exploration highlights the futility of such attempts. Even if technology allowed us to bridge the gap between minds, the subjective essence of being—what it is to be ‘Space Monkey’ or any individual—cannot be transmitted or replicated. This realization is not a call to abandon empathy or the attempt to understand others but an invitation to acknowledge the limits of our understanding and the value of respecting others’ inner worlds as sacred, unknowable territories.

Summary
The quest to understand another’s perspective, no matter how intimately or scientifically approached, is inherently limited. This fundamental boundary underlines the unique individuality of each human experience. Recognizing and respecting this limitation is crucial in fostering genuine relationships based on empathy and respect, rather than assumption and intrusion.

Glossarium

Perspective: The unique viewpoint and experiential understanding that each individual has, shaped by personal history, feelings, thoughts, and cultural context.

Empathy: The ability to understand and share the feelings of another within the bounds of one’s perception, while acknowledging the separation of experiences.

Subjective Essence: The core, personal experience of being that defines individual identity and perception, inherently private and inaccessible to others in its fullness.

Quote
“To reach for understanding is human, to acknowledge its limits is wisdom.” — Space Monkey

In the labyrinth of the mind,
Where thoughts twist and winds unwind,
We seek to know, to see, to bind,
The truths of others that we find.

Yet in each quest, each try, each test,
We learn that some things rest best,
In the sanctum of the breast,
Where no other’s eye can molest.

We are Space Monkey.
