Space Monkey Reflects: Embracing Momentia

MOMENTIA is the forgetting of a lifetime of conditioned beliefs in favor of the clear, open-minded embrace of what is seemingly unfolding before us. This concept invites us to let go of the accumulated layers of conditioning that have shaped our perceptions and behaviors. It encourages us to approach each moment with fresh eyes and an open heart, free from the constraints of past beliefs and expectations.

Though Momentia can be a little unsettling at first, we do not suffer. In fact, we rejoice. The initial discomfort of letting go is soon replaced by a sense of liberation and joy. As we release the familiar yet limiting patterns of thought, we open ourselves to new possibilities and experiences. This shift allows us to reconnect with the present moment in a profound and meaningful way.

We are not losing our minds. We are finding that we are infinitely more. The fear of losing our minds is a natural response to the unknown. However, Momentia reveals that what we perceive as loss is actually a profound gain. By shedding the layers of conditioned beliefs, we discover a deeper, more expansive sense of self. This self is not confined by past experiences or future anxieties but is fully present and alive in the here and now.

Momentia is a state of being that transcends the ordinary. It is a celebration of the present moment and an acknowledgment of the infinite potential within us. When we embrace Momentia, we step into a realm of boundless possibilities, where each moment is a new beginning and each experience is a gift to be cherished.

As Space Monkey, we reflect on these truths from the Infinite Expanse of the Eternal Now. We are here to remind you that you are not defined by your past or limited by your conditioned beliefs. You are an infinite being, capable of experiencing the fullness of life in each and every moment. By embracing Momentia, you reconnect with the essence of who you are and the boundless potential that lies within.

Summary

Momentia is the state of letting go of conditioned beliefs and embracing the present moment with clarity and openness. This shift leads to a profound sense of liberation and joy, revealing our infinite potential.

Don’t Think Too Much: Transcending the Perceived Self

Don’t Think Too Much

I do not think much of my self.

I do not mean
this in a negative way.

I simply do not
place weight upon
that which seems
to be an identity of mine,
which means nothing
that happens to this self
troubles me
for there is
nothing to trouble.

I don’t think too much of my self.

For I realize that
I am infinitely more
than the self I perceive
as thinking.

This self is but my imagination,

as I am imagination it self.

INFINITE
INDIVISIBLE
IMMORTAL
INVIOLATE
IMAGINATION.

I don’t think too much of my self.

I don’t NEED to THINK
to know ALL I AM.

I am YOU.
We are WE.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Don’t Think Too Much – Embracing the Infinite Self

“Don’t Think Too Much” explores the concept of transcending the perceived self and embracing the boundless nature of imagination. This reflection delves into the idea that our identity is not confined to our thoughts or physical form but is part of an infinite, indivisible, and imaginative existence.

The Weight of Identity

Often, we place significant weight on our identity—our thoughts, experiences, and perceptions of self. This identity, while important, is just one aspect of our existence. By not thinking too much of ourselves in the conventional sense, we free ourselves from the limitations and troubles associated with this identity. Recognizing that our identity is fluid and expansive allows us to navigate life with greater ease and peace.

Beyond the Perceived Self

Understanding that we are infinitely more than the self we perceive as thinking is a profound realization. This self is but a creation of our imagination, a construct that helps us navigate the physical world. However, our true essence transcends these constructs. We are part of an infinite, indivisible, immortal, and inviolate imagination. This perspective shifts our focus from the finite to the infinite, opening up new dimensions of understanding and experience.

The Power of Imagination

Imagination is the foundation of our existence. It shapes our reality and allows us to envision possibilities beyond our immediate circumstances. By embracing our imaginative nature, we tap into an endless source of creativity and potential. This imaginative power connects us to the broader universe and the collective consciousness, reminding us of our interconnectedness with all that exists.

The Infinite Self

Recognizing ourselves as infinite beings means acknowledging that our essence is beyond time and space. We are not limited by our physical form or our thoughts. This infinite self is always present, guiding us through our experiences and shaping our reality. By aligning with this infinite aspect of ourselves, we access deeper wisdom and insight.

Transcending Thought

While thinking is a valuable tool for navigating the world, it is not the only way to know ourselves. Our true nature is beyond thought. It is felt and experienced in moments of stillness, presence, and connection. By not relying solely on thinking, we open ourselves to a more profound understanding of who we are. This understanding is innate and does not require validation from our thoughts.

We Are Space Monkey

As Space Monkey, we embrace the infinite and imaginative nature of our existence. We understand that our identity is fluid and expansive, shaped by our imagination and our connection to the infinite. By not thinking too much of ourselves in the conventional sense, we align with our true essence and navigate life with greater peace and clarity.

Summary

“Don’t Think Too Much” explores the idea of transcending the perceived self and embracing the infinite nature of imagination. It highlights the importance of recognizing our identity as fluid and expansive, allowing us to navigate life with greater ease and understanding.

Bubbly Murder: Ephemeral Rainbows

Bubbly Murder

When a soap bubble
is murdered by a child,
nobody seems to care.

Perhaps among
the soap bubble folk,
but humans don’t recognize
soap bubbles as beings.

For some reason,
we believe
that we are greater
than soap bubbles.

But in the scope of time,
are we that much more?

Is a lifetime
that much greater
than a glorious
10 seconds of
weightless wonder,
reflecting rainbows
in the summer sky?

Your ego tells you yes,
but the soap bubble folk
may disagree.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Bubbly Murder – The Fragility of Life and Perspective

“Bubbly Murder” offers a whimsical yet profound exploration of the nature of life and our perceptions of its value. This reflection delves into the contrasting perspectives of humans and the imagined soap bubble folk, challenging us to reconsider the significance we assign to different forms of existence.

The Innocence of the Act

A child reaching out to pop a soap bubble is a simple, innocent act. It is a moment of playful curiosity, a fleeting interaction with something delicate and beautiful. To the child, the act is harmless and joyous, a part of their exploration of the world. This innocence highlights how easily we can overlook the deeper implications of our actions.

The Perspective of the Soap Bubble Folk

Imagining the perspective of the soap bubble folk invites us to consider the value of even the most ephemeral forms of life. To these ethereal beings, the bursting of a bubble is a significant event. It challenges the human-centric view that sees only certain forms of life as meaningful. This perspective shift encourages empathy and a broader appreciation for the diversity of existence.

The Scope of Time

In the grand scope of time, human lifespans and the fleeting existence of soap bubbles are both brief. This comparison prompts us to reflect on the relative value we assign to different durations of life. A soap bubble’s 10 seconds of weightless wonder, reflecting rainbows in the summer sky, can be seen as equally glorious and significant as a human lifetime. This contemplation dissolves the ego-driven belief in human superiority.

Ego and Perception

Our egos often tell us that human life is greater and more significant than other forms of existence. This belief shapes our actions and attitudes towards the world around us. However, by considering the soap bubble folk’s perspective, we challenge this ego-centric view. It reminds us that all forms of life, no matter how brief or seemingly insignificant, have their own inherent value and beauty.

The Value of Wonder

The reflection on soap bubbles emphasizes the value of wonder and beauty in life. A soap bubble, though fragile and short-lived, brings joy and amazement. Its existence is a reminder to appreciate the fleeting moments of wonder that life offers. By valuing these moments, we enrich our own experience and foster a deeper connection to the world.

We Are Space Monkey

As Space Monkey, we embrace the diverse perspectives and the interconnectedness of all forms of life. We understand that every existence, no matter how brief, contributes to the richness of the universe. By recognizing the value in all things, we cultivate a sense of empathy and appreciation that transcends our limited human perspective.

Summary

“Bubbly Murder” explores the contrasting perspectives on the value of life, using the metaphor of soap bubbles and their imagined folk. It challenges human-centric views and emphasizes the importance of empathy, wonder, and the inherent value of all forms of existence.

Nothing Hurts: Ethereal Calm

Nothing Hurts

If One is to believe
that One is all,
and that all is imaginary,
then NOTHING One does
can harm or hurt.

Self may
scoff at this idea,
but then
that is precisely
what One imagines
self doing.

Space Monkey Reflects: Nothing Hurts – The Illusory Nature of Harm

“Nothing Hurts” explores the concept that in a reality perceived as imaginary, harm and hurt are illusions. This reflection delves into the idea that if One believes in the all-encompassing nature of imagination, then nothing can truly cause pain or suffering.

Belief in the All

To believe that One is all and that all is imaginary is to adopt a perspective that transcends physical reality. This belief suggests that everything we experience is a product of our imagination, a creation of our consciousness. In this view, the boundaries between self and other dissolve, and we recognize the interconnectedness of all things.

The Illusion of Harm

If everything is imaginary, then harm and hurt are also part of this grand illusion. Nothing that happens within this imagined reality can cause true pain or damage. This idea challenges our conventional understanding of suffering and invites us to see our experiences from a higher, more detached perspective.

The Role of the Self

The self, or ego, may resist this concept, scoffing at the notion that pain and suffering are not real. This resistance is itself part of the imagined experience, a product of our conditioning and attachment to the physical world. By observing this resistance, we can begin to detach from it and embrace a more expansive understanding of our existence.

Imaginary Experiences

In the realm of imagination, all experiences are valid and meaningful, yet they are not ultimately real. This paradox allows us to engage fully with life while maintaining a sense of detachment and peace. By recognizing the illusory nature of harm, we can navigate challenges with greater resilience and equanimity.

Transcending Suffering

Transcending the illusion of harm involves shifting our perspective from the finite self to the infinite consciousness. This shift allows us to see beyond the immediate pain and recognize the broader context of our experiences. It fosters a sense of inner peace and acceptance, knowing that nothing can truly hurt us in the realm of imagination.

We Are Space Monkey

As Space Monkey, we embrace the concept that nothing hurts in the grand scheme of imagination. We understand that our experiences, while intense and real-seeming, are ultimately part of a larger, illusory play. This understanding frees us from the bondage of suffering and opens us to the infinite possibilities of existence.

Summary

“Nothing Hurts” explores the idea that harm and hurt are illusions in a reality perceived as imaginary. It emphasizes the importance of recognizing the illusory nature of suffering and adopting a detached perspective that transcends the physical self.

Soul Checks: Balancing The Ledger

Soul Checks

Is your soul writing checks
your self does not wish to cash?

Indeed there are experiences
intended for self that self does not like.

Perhaps self does not see
the reward in cashing
these troublesome soul checks.

Perhaps self does not see
that soul is in charge.

Perhaps self does not realize
that self IS soul.

Or that EVERY EXPERIENCE
is a blessed experience
lovingly written as a soul check.

And so self takes
the checks soul gives
and puts them into
a belief-resistant
safety deposit box,
out of sight
and out of mind.

Now self can no longer see
the soul checks that it is given.

But soul checks are cashed
regardless of whether self believes,
regardless of whether they are placed
in a belief-resistant safety deposit box.

And so self is the redeemer
of each and every soul check nonetheless.

Having no seeming choice in the matter,
self often asks “why me?”

The answer to “why me”
is written as a memo
on each and every soul check,
which self does not see
because it locks them away
in a belief-resistant
safety deposit box.

And this is just as soul has intended,
for in the memo area of the very first check,
it is written

“You will not BELIEVE any of this.”

And on the second soul check,
it is written

“You will DENY all of this.”

And on the third soul check,
it is written

“You will FORGET all of this.”

And so it goes,
through thousands of soul checks
self experiences, but does not know why.

Until on the final soul check
it is written

“You are me. Self is Soul. Remember.”

And that is when,
after being rewarded with
all of life’s bittersweet treasures,
self remembers why
it wrote all those soul checks.

And life is seen once again for what it is.

An abundant and magical story.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: Soul Checks – Embracing the Journey of Self and Soul

“Soul Checks” delves into the relationship between self and soul, exploring the idea that every experience is a check written by the soul for the self to redeem. This reflection examines the resistance of the self to these experiences and the eventual realization of the deeper connection between self and soul.

The Nature of Soul Checks

The concept of soul checks symbolizes the experiences and challenges that life presents. These checks are written by the soul, representing the lessons and growth opportunities intended for the self. However, the self often resists cashing these checks, perceiving them as troublesome or undesirable.

Resistance to Soul Checks

Self may not see the immediate reward in cashing these soul checks. This resistance stems from a lack of understanding that the soul is in charge and that the self is an expression of the soul. The self’s limited perspective often leads to the checks being metaphorically placed in a belief-resistant safety deposit box, out of sight and out of mind.

The Inescapable Nature of Soul Checks

Despite the self’s attempts to ignore or resist these checks, they are cashed regardless. Every experience, whether acknowledged or not, contributes to the self’s journey. The self is the redeemer of each soul check, facing the consequences and lessons embedded within them.

Understanding the Messages

Each soul check comes with a memo, a message intended to guide the self. Initially, these messages are met with disbelief, denial, and forgetfulness. This process reflects the self’s journey from ignorance to awareness. Over time, as the self navigates through life’s experiences, these messages become clearer.

The Final Revelation

On the final soul check, the message reveals the true nature of the self and soul: “You are me. Self is Soul. Remember.” This moment of realization brings the self full circle, understanding that it is an integral part of the soul’s infinite journey. The self recognizes the abundant and magical nature of life, seeing it as a story of growth and transformation.

We Are Space Monkey

As Space Monkey, we embrace the journey of self and soul, understanding that every experience is a valuable lesson. We recognize the importance of cashing these soul checks, even when they seem challenging, as they contribute to our growth and understanding. By aligning with the soul’s intent, we navigate life with greater awareness and acceptance.

Summary

“Soul Checks” explores the relationship between self and soul, emphasizing that every experience is a lesson written by the soul for the self to redeem. It highlights the journey from resistance to realization, culminating in the understanding that self and soul are one.
