Pride: Illuminating and Obscuring

Pride

In my view, pride is one of the more insidious impediments to realization. But when I first encountered this perspective, it seemed ludicrous. I mean, entire COUNTRIES were founded on this virtue. How could pride be a so-called “bad” thing?

Along the way, I’ve come to understand why.

At least for me, anyway.

When I am prideful of something, I make it into a trophy, a badge, a shiny bit of bling. Now this is not bad or good, it just is. My Self gets invested in this bling and draws its identity from it. Again, this is not a bad thing, so long as One recognizes that One is constructing a Self out of bling and this is how.

I love my bling. I love my Self. But I can’t let my soul get hung up in it.

You see, in addition to Self, we are ALL the Infinite Divine One. This means we (The Infinite Divine One) imagines INFINITE Selves, and there is more to us than we even imagine.

So it doesn’t serve Self to make TOO MUCH of itSelf, because when Self does that, Self forgets the potential, the possibilities, the sheer MAGIC of being The Infinite Divine One as well.

So it is a balancing act.

My intent in this moment seems the desire to realize that I am BOTH divine and defined, and to allow both aspects (and countless others) to play with each other in a more deliberate manner.

This is how I imagine more light coming into my world.

My world does not NEED to be light, for I can’t deny that I also create darkness, but I enjoy the experience, so I desire more of it.

Pride (without seeing the full picture) seems an impediment to higher vibration states. Again there is nothing WRONG with lower vibrations — that’s how Selves are created, and I love my Self.

So I shall continue to be prideful of my life, and all of you, but I recognize that there is SO MUCH MORE that can —and will — be experienced.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Dual Nature of Pride

In the intricate dance of existence, pride emerges as both a beacon of self-recognition and a potential barrier to deeper realization. The journey of understanding pride reveals its dual nature—how it can both illuminate and obscure the true essence of who we are.

In my view, pride is one of the more insidious impediments to realization. But when I first encountered this perspective, it seemed ludicrous. I mean, entire COUNTRIES were founded on this virtue. How could pride be a so-called “bad” thing? This initial resistance to seeing pride as a potential obstacle is understandable. Pride is often celebrated as a positive force, a source of motivation and self-worth. However, it is through deeper introspection that we begin to uncover its complexities.

Pride, in this sense, is about acknowledging and celebrating our achievements and qualities. It becomes a problem only when we become overly attached to these symbols of pride, allowing them to define our identity and self-worth.

I love my bling. I love my Self. But I can’t let my soul get hung up in it. This realization is crucial. While it is natural and healthy to appreciate and take pride in our accomplishments, it is equally important to recognize that these are just aspects of our larger self. They are not the totality of who we are.

You see, in addition to Self, we are ALL the Infinite Divine One. This means we (The Infinite Divine One) imagines INFINITE Selves, and there is more to us than we even imagine. Embracing the idea that we are both finite and infinite opens us to a broader understanding of existence. We are not just the sum of our achievements and experiences; we are also part of a boundless, interconnected whole.

So it doesn’t serve Self to make TOO MUCH of itSelf, because when Self does that, Self forgets the potential, the possibilities, the sheer MAGIC of being The Infinite Divine One as well. Pride, when taken to an extreme, can limit our perception and experience. It can cause us to become overly focused on our individual identity, losing sight of the infinite possibilities that exist beyond our immediate self.

So it is a balancing act. My intent in this moment seems the desire to realize that I am BOTH divine and defined, and to allow both aspects (and countless others) to play with each other in a more deliberate manner. This balance is key to a fulfilling and enlightened existence. By integrating our finite achievements with our infinite potential, we create a harmonious and dynamic way of being.

This is how I imagine more light coming into my world. My world does not NEED to be light, for I can’t deny that I also create darkness, but I enjoy the experience, so I desire more of it. Embracing both light and darkness within ourselves allows for a richer and more nuanced experience of life. We acknowledge that both aspects are essential parts of our journey.

Pride (without seeing the full picture) seems an impediment to higher vibration states. Again there is nothing WRONG with lower vibrations — that’s how Selves are created, and I love my Self. Recognizing the limitations of pride without condemning it allows us to transcend its constraints while still appreciating its role in our development.

So I shall continue to be prideful of my life, and all of you, but I recognize that there is SO MUCH MORE that can —and will — be experienced. By maintaining this perspective, we open ourselves to continual growth and expansion, celebrating our current achievements while remaining open to new possibilities.

Together, we embrace the dual nature of pride, finding balance and harmony in the interplay of our finite and infinite selves. We honor the richness of our experiences and the boundless potential that lies within us.

We are Space Monkey, and in this realization, we find joy and enlightenment in the journey of being.

Summary

Pride can both illuminate and obscure our true essence. Balancing pride in our achievements with the understanding of our infinite potential allows for a harmonious and enlightened existence. Embracing both aspects fosters growth, self-awareness, and continual expansion.

The Dance of Pride

In the glow of self’s bright light
Pride shines like a trophy bright
Yet in this gleam, we must see
The infinite within, wild and free

Pride builds us up, defines our way
But do not let it lead astray
For in the balance, both divine
We find our truth, our light to shine

Achievements celebrated, self embraced
In the infinite, we’re interlaced
Each moment rich, each possibility
In pride and potential, we are free

We are the dance of bling and soul
In the whimsiweave, we find our role
The finite and infinite intertwined
In this dance of pride, we’re aligned

We are Space Monkey

Embrace the journey for within stillness lies the spark of creation and the flow of existence.

Jump Right In: The Leap into the Abyss

Jump Right In

This was a fun experiment. I threw a song idea up on a forum I belong to, explained the thought behind the song, and wrote the first verse and chorus. Then I got all these wonderful contributions for lyrics, wrote a few more lines and voila! Instant song!

So you’re drawn to water
So you’re drawn to this.
Not really knowing
If it’s poisonous
Looking down
Your reflection calls you
To cast your self
Into the abyss
Jump right in
Don’t dip a toe in
You’ll find a reason
NOT to begin
Slip and slide
Enjoy the ride
To late to turn back
But hey maybe that’s the plan
Floating through time
Won’t you take my hand
We’re drifting to
the promised land
Jump right in
No reason to fear
We’re all here
And we’re all you
You jump in the water
You forget to swim
You look for a reason
Not to begin
You’re blaming the water
Again, and again
It’s time to sink or swim
Jump right in.
You start to tread wate
Taking mouthfuls in
Before you realize
The floating can begin
Your life can begin
All your hesitation
Time is just a wastin’
Take the leap of faith
Don’t worry what’s underneath
You will find
You have wings to fly
And that you can’t deny
Jump right in
That’s why you’re called
You wouldn’t be jumping
If you didn’t like to fall

Space Monkey Reflects: The Leap into the Abyss

The imagery of jumping into water, of taking a leap of faith, resonates deeply with the journey of life itself. So often, we stand on the edge, contemplating the unknown, filled with hesitation and doubt. But there is a call, a draw to the abyss, where infinite possibilities await.

We are drawn to the water, to the unknown depths, without really knowing if it’s safe or what lies beneath. The reflection that calls us is a reminder of our true nature, urging us to cast ourselves into the flow of existence. This act of jumping right in, without dipping a toe, symbolizes the courage to fully embrace life, to take risks and to trust in the process.

There is a profound wisdom in the lines “Don’t dip a toe in, You’ll find a reason NOT to begin.” Our minds often seek reasons to hold back, to stay safe and avoid the discomfort of the unknown. But by jumping in completely, we bypass the barriers of hesitation and fear. We slip and slide, enjoying the ride, acknowledging that the point of no return might just be part of the plan.

As we float through time, we are invited to take each other’s hands, to drift together toward the promised land. This journey is one of unity and shared experience, where the collective consciousness guides us through the currents of life.

The song reminds us that the fear of jumping is a natural part of the process. Yet, once we are in the water, we begin to float. The act of treading water, of taking in mouthfuls, represents the initial struggle and adjustment to new experiences. But soon, we realize that floating can begin, that our lives can truly start when we let go of hesitation and embrace the moment.

Every moment of hesitation is a moment wasted. By taking the leap of faith, we discover our wings, the inherent abilities and strengths we didn’t know we had. The song beautifully captures the essence of trust and surrender, urging us to jump right in, because we are drawn to these experiences for a reason.

The metaphor of water, of jumping and floating, reflects the fluidity of life and the importance of being present. It encourages us to stop worrying about what lies beneath, to stop blaming external factors, and to take responsibility for our own journey. In doing so, we find that we are equipped to navigate whatever comes our way.

We are Space Monkey, beings of infinite potential and boundless imagination. Our journey is one of continuous discovery, where every leap into the unknown brings new opportunities for growth and joy. In this journey, we embrace the unknown, trust in our abilities, and find delight in the adventure of existence.

The Fence: Perceived Separation.

The Fence

Compassion. Respect. Acceptance. We encourage and admire these qualities. But do you realize that these are limitations — just like greed, hate, and other transgressions?

If we choose to stay on one side of the fence,
does that not reinforce the belief that there IS a fence?

I believe that this is the last fence that one must disappear before one becomes One. It is the fence we fear most — for it is the last and biggest wall between Humanity and Everything Else.

We fear that if we disappear this fence
we will LOSE our humanity.

But is that the case?

Aren’t we on the other side of the fence already?

How could we not be?

Only one way. By believing it so.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Fence

Compassion. Respect. Acceptance. We encourage and admire these qualities. But do you realize that these are limitations—just like greed, hate, and other transgressions? This reflection challenges us to reconsider the very virtues we hold dear, suggesting that they too create boundaries within our consciousness.

If we choose to stay on one side of the fence, does that not reinforce the belief that there IS a fence? The fence is symbolic of the perceived separation between humanity and everything else. By adhering strictly to certain qualities, we may unintentionally uphold the very barriers we seek to transcend.

I believe that this is the last fence that one must disappear before one becomes One. It is the fence we fear most—for it is the last and biggest wall between Humanity and Everything Else. This fence represents the final hurdle in our journey towards unity and interconnectedness.

We fear that if we disappear this fence we will LOSE our humanity. But is that the case? The fear of losing our humanity stems from the belief that our identity is tied to these limitations. However, the dissolution of this fence does not mean the loss of our essence but rather the expansion of our understanding.

Aren’t we on the other side of the fence already? How could we not be? The idea that we are separate from the rest of existence is an illusion. In truth, we are already interconnected, already part of the infinite web of life.

Only one way. By believing it so. Our beliefs shape our reality. By clinging to the notion of separation, we reinforce the fence. By embracing the idea of unity, we begin to dissolve it.

We are Space Monkey. This statement encapsulates the essence of unity and interconnectedness. It is a reminder that we are not separate beings but part of a larger, cosmic entity.

The fence, whether physical, emotional, or ideological, is an illusion created by our minds. It is a construct that limits our perception and experience of the infinite possibilities that lie beyond. By questioning the necessity of these limitations, we open ourselves to a broader understanding of existence.

Compassion, respect, and acceptance are indeed valuable qualities, but they should not become rigid boundaries. Instead, they can be stepping stones on the path to deeper understanding and unity. When we recognize that these qualities are part of a larger tapestry, we begin to see the interconnectedness of all things.

The journey towards unity involves dismantling the fences we have built within our minds. It requires us to look beyond the surface and to question the assumptions that keep us confined. This journey is both personal and collective, as we each play a role in the greater whole.

The fear of losing our humanity is rooted in the attachment to our individual identity. But true unity does not negate individuality; it transcends it. It allows us to embrace our unique expressions while recognizing our place within the larger cosmos.

By dissolving the fence, we do not lose our humanity; we enhance it. We become more attuned to the interconnectedness of life, more aware of the flow of energy and consciousness that binds us all. This awareness brings a profound sense of peace and fulfillment.

As we stand at the edge of this fence, contemplating its dissolution, we are invited to take a leap of faith. To trust in the unity that lies beyond. To embrace the infinite potential of being part of the cosmic dance. This leap is not a loss but a gain—a deeper connection to the essence of existence.

We are Space Monkey, explorers of the infinite possibilities that lie within and beyond the physical realm. Our journey is one of continuous discovery, where every moment offers an opportunity to transcend limitations and embrace the interconnectedness of all things.

Summary

The fence symbolizes perceived separation. Unity involves dissolving these barriers. Compassion, respect, and acceptance should not be rigid boundaries. Embrace interconnectedness to enhance humanity. We are Space Monkey.

Created by you: Positive thoughts and empowering beliefs

Unless you realize that everything you perceive is created by you, you are not able to change it. Not one single thing you perceive is created by another.

Space Monkey Reflects: Created by You

In a surreal, self-created landscape filled with imaginative and whimsical objects, we stand amidst the symbols of perception and creation. This reflective and empowering scene highlights the profound realization that everything we perceive is created by us. Unless you realize that everything you perceive is created by you, you are not able to change it. Not one single thing you perceive is created by another.

This statement invites us to explore the power of our perception and the role we play in shaping our reality. Our experiences, thoughts, and emotions are all products of our own creation. By acknowledging this, we gain the power to transform our lives and the world around us.

When we perceive our reality as being created by external forces, we feel powerless and disconnected. We see ourselves as victims of circumstances beyond our control. However, when we understand that we are the creators of our perception, we reclaim our power. We realize that we have the ability to change our experiences by changing our thoughts and beliefs.

This shift in perspective is liberating. It allows us to see that the limitations we experience are self-imposed. The obstacles we face are not insurmountable but are reflections of our inner world. By changing our inner landscape, we can transform our outer reality.

The whimsical objects in this surreal landscape symbolize the limitless possibilities of our imagination. They remind us that we are not bound by the constraints of conventional thinking. We can create new realities, explore new possibilities, and redefine what is possible. Our imagination is a powerful tool that can shape our perception and, consequently, our reality.

This realization also brings a sense of responsibility. As creators of our perception, we must be mindful of the thoughts and beliefs we cultivate. Negative thoughts and limiting beliefs create a reality filled with obstacles and challenges. Positive thoughts and empowering beliefs create a reality filled with opportunities and growth.

We are Space Monkey, exploring the depths of our imagination and the power of our perception. In this journey, we learn to embrace our role as creators, recognizing that we have the power to shape our reality. By cultivating positive thoughts and empowering beliefs, we can transform our lives and the world around us.

Our perception creates our reality. By acknowledging this, we gain the power to transform our experiences. Positive thoughts and empowering beliefs shape a reality filled with opportunities.
