What is connection? Openness.

What is connection?

A link?
A commonality?
A conduit?

Yes, but think more expansively.
Connection is openness.

When we’re not open,
we feel closed off and isolated.

Separate.

To feel connected,
in the deepest sense,
means that there is nothing between
you and that which you desire.

Or that which desires you.

Connection is allowance.

The main reason
we feel disconnected
is because we don’t allow
ourselves to be open.

We reflect this disallowance
to others and so
we seem disconnected.

We see allowance as vulnerability.

Nobody wants to be vulnerable first.

That is because we do not trust.

We do not trust
because we’re not open.

Yet we crave connection.

Silly monkeys.

We are more than connected,
we are one.

Imagining otherwise.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Cosmic Tapestry of Connection

In the infinite expanse of the cosmos, where stars are bound by gravity and galaxies weave their tales across the void, the poem “What is connection?” invites us to contemplate the profound concept of connection in the grand scheme of existence. This reflection explores connection not just as a physical or emotional phenomenon, but as a fundamental aspect of the universal fabric.

The poem begins with a query, pondering the nature of connection. It suggests that connection is more than just a link, a commonality, or a conduit; it is an expression of openness. This idea mirrors the cosmic principle that everything in the universe, from the tiniest particles to the vastest galaxies, is interconnected. Connection, in its truest sense, is the recognition of this intrinsic oneness, the understanding that we are all part of a greater whole.

The notion that disconnection stems from a lack of openness resonates deeply with the cosmic perspective. Just as a star that is shrouded by interstellar dust struggles to share its light, we too find ourselves isolated when we close ourselves off from the world around us. Connection, therefore, requires the courage to be open, to allow ourselves to be seen and to see others truly.

The poem then delves into the concept of allowance as a key to connection. This allowance is not just a passive acceptance but an active engagement with the universe and its myriad forms. In the cosmic dance, every entity, from the smallest atom to the largest cluster of galaxies, allows itself to be influenced by and to influence others. This dynamic interplay is the essence of connection, a dance of energy and information that spans the cosmos.

The poem addresses the human dilemma of craving connection while fearing vulnerability. This paradox is akin to the celestial bodies that yearn to gravitate towards each other yet are held back by the fear of collision and chaos. The poem suggests that the root of this fear is a lack of trust, a hesitancy to fully embrace our interconnectedness.

In its closing lines, “We are more than connected, we are one. Imagining otherwise. We are Space Monkey,” the poem offers a profound realization. It posits that our perception of separateness is an illusion, a temporary forgetfulness of our true nature. In the cosmic context, everything is interconnected, every star, every planet, every creature is part of the same cosmic tapestry. Our journey, therefore, is not towards connection but towards the remembrance of our inherent oneness.

In conclusion, “What is connection?” is not just a query about human relationships but a meditation on the fundamental nature of the universe. It invites us to embrace openness, to transcend our fears, and to realize that in the grand cosmic scheme, we are all interconnected, all part of the same wondrous and infinite tapestry of existence.

Summary

Connection is cosmic oneness. “What is connection?” explores the concept of connection as a fundamental aspect of the universe, emphasizing openness, allowance, and the transcendence of perceived separateness. Recognizing our inherent interconnectedness is key to understanding our place in the cosmic tapestry.

Glossarium

  • Cosmic Tapestry: A metaphor for the interconnectedness of all entities in the universe, from the smallest particles to the vastest galaxies.
  • Inherent Oneness: The concept that all aspects of the universe are intrinsically connected and part of a unified whole.

“In the vast cosmos, every star, every planet, every being is linked in an unbreakable chain of connection.” – Space Monkey

In the web of the cosmos, we intertwine
Stars, planets, beings, in a line
In this dance, our spirits combine
In connection, our essence align

In the openness of space, we reach
Across the void, our souls beseech
In every touch, every gaze, we teach
The unity of all, within our reach

In the allowance of our hearts
Where fear and separation departs
We find the connection that imparts
The oneness of the cosmic arts

We are the travelers of this space
In our journey, we embrace
The connection that interlaces
Our shared destiny, our common grace

We are Space Monkey
In the cosmos, forever free
In our unity, we see
The connection of you and me

What does it mean to care?

What does it mean to care?

Caring is the belief that we are capable of making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. To treat individuals with respect, dignity, and kindness, regardless of origin or orientation.

More than simply filling a request, meeting a need, or exceeding an expectation, caring is doing all that is in our power to honor and nurture the interconnectedness of everything and everyone.

Care does not pick and choose, but rather it is given equally, for the health of all. Care is noble, nonjudgmental and nondiscriminatory.

Care is the untainted heart of humanity,
making it the rarest, most precious commodity on earth.

Do you care? Share!

—————–

To care for others, first you must care for yourself.

If you don’t care, it’s probably because you’re hurting in some way. Maybe it seems as though nobody cares for you.

But who are you anyway? Why does it matter if others care for you or not? Are you that full of yourself?

When you care, TRULY care, you see that it doesn’t matter who you are, or who anyone else is.

All that matters is that you care.

End and beginning of story.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Cosmic Essence of Caring

In the boundless cosmos, where stars nurture galaxies and black holes remind us of the unfathomable, the concept of caring takes on a profound and universal significance. The essence of caring, as described in the query, transcends the mere act of fulfilling needs or expectations; it is a deep, inherent expression of the interconnected nature of all existence.

The belief that caring can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others is akin to the cosmic principle of cause and effect, where every action, no matter how small, reverberates across the universe. Caring, in its truest form, is an acknowledgment of the intricate web of connections that bind us all, from the tiniest microorganism to the greatest galaxy.

Treating individuals with respect, dignity, and kindness, irrespective of their origin or orientation, mirrors the unbiased nature of the cosmos. Just as the sun shines equally on all planets and the moon’s pull affects all seas, caring is an unconditional act, extended to all without judgment or discrimination.

The notion that care is the untainted heart of humanity and a precious commodity reflects the rare and precious elements that are forged in the hearts of stars – elements that give rise to life itself. Care, therefore, is not just an act but the very essence of our existence, a fundamental component of the cosmic tapestry.

The reminder to care for oneself as a prerequisite to caring for others aligns with the cosmic truth that self-care is essential for the health and balance of the whole. Just as each star must maintain its own stability to contribute to the harmony of its galaxy, we too must nurture our own well-being to effectively care for others.

The challenge posed – to care without concern for personal recognition or the care of others in return – is a call to embody the selfless nature of the cosmos. It is an invitation to participate in the grand dance of existence, where caring is both the end and the beginning, an eternal cycle of giving and receiving.

In conclusion, caring, as described, is a cosmic act, a manifestation of the interconnectedness and unity of all things. It is an expression of our deepest nature, a reflection of the cosmos within us, urging us to extend our care to all beings, to nurture the web of life that we are all a part of.

Summary

Caring is a reflection of cosmic interconnectedness. The essence of caring extends beyond fulfilling needs, embodying respect, dignity, and kindness for all. It is an unconditional act that mirrors the unbiased nature of the cosmos, making it a fundamental component of our existence.

Glossarium

  • Cosmic Interconnectedness: The concept that all entities in the universe are interconnected and interdependent, akin to the nature of caring which connects and impacts all beings.
  • Unconditional Cosmic Act: The idea that caring, like the fundamental forces of the cosmos, is extended to all without judgment or discrimination, reflecting the universe’s unbiased nature.

“In the cosmos of existence, care is the gravity that binds us, the light that guides us.” – Space Monkey

Picked Last For Being Born.

I was picked last for being born.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Cosmic Perspective on Being ‘Picked Last’

In the cosmic tapestry where stars are born and galaxies dance their eternal dance, the notion of being ‘picked last’ carries a unique and profound meaning. The poem “Picked Last” is a succinct yet powerful expression of a universal human experience – the feeling of being overlooked or undervalued, a sentiment that resonates deeply in the heart of the cosmos.

This reflection explores the cosmic significance of this experience. In the vastness of the universe, every entity, from the smallest particle to the largest galaxy, has its place and purpose. Being ‘picked last’ in the human context often comes with feelings of insignificance or rejection. However, from a cosmic perspective, the order in which one is chosen or the position one holds bears no relation to one’s intrinsic value or worth.

In the celestial realm, some stars are more prominent in the night sky, while others are fainter and less noticeable. Yet, each star, regardless of its brightness or position, contributes to the beauty and complexity of the heavens. Similarly, every individual, regardless of how they are perceived or valued by others, has a unique role and significance in the tapestry of life.

The poem also touches on the concept of birth – being ‘picked last for being born’ implies a sense of predestined exclusion from the outset of life. In the cosmic narrative, every birth, be it a star or a living being, is a moment of wonder and significance. The circumstances of one’s birth are merely the beginning of a journey that is shaped by countless factors and experiences.

Moreover, the feeling of being ‘picked last’ offers an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. In the cosmic cycle, challenges and setbacks are catalysts for evolution and transformation. They are not signs of failure or insignificance, but rather invitations to find our strength, to discover our light, and to contribute to the universe in our unique way.

In conclusion, the poem “Picked Last” invites us to shift our perspective from the pain of exclusion to the recognition of our inherent worth and potential. It reminds us that in the cosmic scheme, every entity is essential, every journey is valuable, and every moment of existence is a chance to shine in our unique way.

Summary

Every star has its place in the cosmos. “Picked Last” offers a cosmic perspective on the feeling of being overlooked, emphasizing the inherent value and purpose of every individual in the tapestry of life. In the cosmic narrative, challenges are opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

Glossarium

  • Cosmic Tapestry: A metaphor for the interconnectedness and complexity of the universe, where every entity has its place and purpose.
  • Inherent Worth: The concept that every individual, regardless of external perception or valuation, possesses intrinsic value and significance in the cosmic journey.

“In the galaxy of existence, every star, no matter when it shines, adds to the splendor of the night.” – Space Monkey

In the vastness of the cosmic sea
Each star has its own destiny
Picked last or first, it matters not
In the universe’s grand plot

Every light, every being, a story to tell
In this celestial dance, we all dwell
In the heart of the cosmos, we find
Our place, our path, our own kind

The journey of each, unique and bold
In the tapestry of stars, we unfold
Our light, our essence, our song
In the cosmos, where we all belong

We are the voyagers of this space
In every moment, we find our grace
In the galaxy of existence, we see
Our worth, our role, our destiny

We are Space Monkey
In the cosmic dance, forever free
In the galaxy of life, we be
Part of the universe’s symphony

Intuition Tells Me Not To Trust It

Intuition

My intuition says
that if I completely trusted it,
I would realize
that I am ALL THINGS,
and ALL PEOPLE,
EVERYTHING and NOTHING
and that I would
COMPLETELY OVERSHOOT
this seeming human experience
in which (we) seem to be
FLAWED and UNTRUSTING
individuals, SEPARATE
from each other.

So I LOVE
that I don’t trust
my intuition completely,
because if it weren’t
for all this denial,
I wouldn’t be “here.”

In perfection, as always.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Cosmic Dance of Intuition and Human Experience

In the vast, star-filled expanse of the universe, where the dance of galaxies unfolds in timeless harmony, the poem “Intuition” invites us to explore the delicate balance between the infinite wisdom of intuition and the tangible reality of our human experience. This reflection delves into the profound implications of trusting our intuition, which whispers of our interconnectedness with all things and all people, yet recognizes the significance of our individual human journeys.

The poem begins with a contemplation of intuition, suggesting that if one were to completely trust it, they would realize their oneness with everything and nothing. This realization is akin to a cosmic awakening, where the boundaries between self and other dissolve, revealing the fundamental truth that we are all part of the same universal fabric. In the cosmic perspective, this is a reflection of the interconnected nature of the universe, where every star, planet, and galaxy is bound by the same fundamental forces and shares the same cosmic origin.

However, the poem acknowledges a certain love for not fully trusting this intuition. This hesitation to embrace the boundless wisdom of intuition is emblematic of the human condition, with its inherent flaws, doubts, and insecurities. It is a reminder that our human experience, with all its imperfections and uncertainties, is a valuable and integral part of our journey. Just as a star’s light is made more beautiful by the vast darkness that surrounds it, so too is our human experience enriched by our limitations and vulnerabilities.

The concept of denial, as mentioned in the poem, serves as a grounding force, anchoring us in the ‘here’ of our human existence. In the cosmic narrative, this is akin to the forces that maintain the integrity and individuality of celestial bodies, preventing them from losing their distinct identities in the vastness of space. This denial, while seemingly a limitation, is actually a vital component of our journey, allowing us to fully engage with and appreciate the richness of our human experience.

In its concluding lines, the poem embraces the notion of perfection in the midst of this apparent contradiction. This acceptance of perfection in imperfection is reflective of the cosmic truth that the universe, in all its complexity and mystery, is a perfect expression of the underlying harmony of existence. Every moment, every experience, every doubt and realization is a part of the grand cosmic dance.

In summary, “Intuition” offers a profound insight into the interplay between the limitless potential of our intuition and the tangible reality of our human existence. It invites us to embrace the wisdom of our intuition while cherishing the unique beauty of our human journey, finding perfection in the dance between the infinite and the finite.

Summary

Intuition connects us to the cosmos. “Intuition” explores the relationship between the infinite wisdom of intuition and the tangible human experience, highlighting the value of embracing both the interconnectedness of all things and the individuality of our human journey.

Glossarium

  • Cosmic Awakening: The realization of one’s interconnectedness with the universe, akin to the boundless wisdom of intuition.
  • Human Experience: The tangible, individual journey of life, characterized by imperfections and limitations, yet integral to our overall existence.

“In the universe of self, intuition is the star that guides, yet the journey is ours to walk.” – Space Monkey

In the vastness of the cosmic mind
Intuition, a guide, kind and blind
Whispers of oneness, of stars aligned
In its voice, our destiny intertwined

Yet in our hearts, a human song
A melody of where we belong
In this dance, both right and wrong
In our journey, we grow strong

The balance of intuition and being
In this dance, our truth we’re seeing
In the cosmos, both freeing and freeing
Our human experience, our cosmic leaning

We are the travelers of this space
In intuition and humanity, we embrace
In the universe, our unique place
In the dance of self, our cosmic grace

We are Space Monkey
In the journey of self, forever free
In the balance of intuition, we see
The beauty of being, the key
