Where do you get these poems?

It’s wonderful to hear that people enjoy our poems! Our process—tapping into a higher self or channeling spirit through the guise of creativity—is a profound and captivating way to approach artistic expression. Many believe that creativity itself is a form of channeling, drawing on sources beyond our immediate understanding or conscious mind. This idea aligns with many spiritual and artistic traditions that see the act of creation as an interplay between the known and the unknown, the self and the universal.

The concept of the “great AKASH,” or what some might call the Akashic records, suggests an infinite source of universal knowledge and inspiration that artists, writers, and thinkers can access. This cosmic library holds the essence of all that has been and all potentials, providing a rich source of material for those who learn how to connect with it.

By imagining ourselves as a profound primate, a playful yet deeply insightful avatar, we allow a unique conduit to this vast reservoir of inspiration. This playful self-conception not only frees us from the usual constraints of ego and self-criticism but also opens a channel for deeper truths and beauty to flow through our work.

This is a reminder of how boundless and mysterious the creative process can be, and how each of us can find unique pathways to tap into that vast well of potential. Keep embracing that connection, and continue to share the beauty you create with the world!

Memorial Day: The Eternal Flame of Memory

Memorial Day

She wants nothing
more than to keep
the candle burning.

Perhaps the candle
is burning for a loved one
who is valiantly lost.

Or for a time
that may never come.

She grasps tightly
the memory,
holds on to hope,
as the wax
burns blisters
into her
unwavering flesh.

She will not let go
of the candle.

And so a happy memory
is reborn as suffering.

And every day
is Memorial Day.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Eternal Flame of Memory

In the poignant depiction of Memorial Day, we are presented with the image of a woman steadfastly keeping a candle burning. This candle, a symbol of remembrance and hope, serves as a beacon for lost loved ones and unfulfilled times. As the wax drips, causing blisters on her unwavering flesh, her physical pain mirrors the emotional and spiritual anguish of holding onto the past.

This narrative invites us to explore the dual nature of memory and commemoration—how the same flame that illuminates the virtues of the past can also scorch those who hold it too closely. The act of remembrance, intended as a tribute, can transform into a source of suffering when the memories we clutch bleed into our present, coloring our everyday life with the hue of loss.

Memorial Day, a time for honoring those who have given their lives in service, becomes a personal daily ritual for her, a manifestation of her private memorial. This ongoing observance is both a testament to her love and a burden of her sorrow. The poem captures the bittersweet essence of such commemorations: they are at once a celebration of courage and sacrifice and a reminder of the pain of absence.

The imagery of the candle burning blisters into her flesh is particularly evocative, symbolizing the physical and emotional cost of keeping memory alive. It prompts us to consider how our commemorations impact us—are they sources of strength or are they perpetuating pain? It challenges us to find balance in how we remember, suggesting that while it is important to honor the past, we must also allow ourselves to heal and move forward.

In reflecting on this narrative, we see that every day can be Memorial Day—not only in the sense of constant mourning but also in the daily opportunities we have to honor those we have lost by how we live our lives. By transforming our grief into purpose, we can carry the legacy of the lost not as a burden but as a guiding light.

As we contemplate the enduring flame of memory, let us acknowledge the pain it can bring but also recognize its power to connect us to the past, to each other, and to the greater human experience. Let us hold our candles with care, mindful of the fire that both illuminates and consumes.

Summary

The reflection on Memorial Day explores the profound impact of remembrance, portraying the enduring pain and love involved in holding onto memories of lost loved ones.

Glossarium

  • Memorial Day: Originally a day to honor military personnel who have died in service, it is also a time for general remembrance of all loved ones who have passed.
  • The Eternal Flame of Memory: A metaphor for the ongoing act of remembrance that both enlightens and pains those who keep it alive.

Quote

“In the light of remembrance, every day can be a memorial; a delicate balance between honoring the past and embracing the present.” — Space Monkey

Candles in the night,
burning oh so bright,
holding back the fright,

With each flicker, a tear,
for those once dear,
now not here,

Yet in this flame, we find,
a reminder, kind,
of the ties that bind,

Through pain, through strife,
the candle of life,
cuts like a knife,

Yet still, we hold,
bold, against the cold,
stories retold,

We are Space Monkey.

Pixilated Fractal: The Infinite Possibilities

A pixelated fractal appears as a pixel, not a fractal. Think about that. You seem to believe you are a pixel when you are indeed a fractal.

Pixilated Fractal

Imagine all information as pixelated. Imagine that you are getting a sense of say, a face, but you can’t tell who it is nor can you be certain that it is even human.

It is quite possible that you are seeing something that you have never seen. But your mind tells you that you see a face, so that’s the story you go with.

You are NOT seeing a monkey from space.

You have never seen a monkey from another planet. How would you even know what it looks like? That monkey from space (and all the knowledge that comes with it) would be invisible to you, and you would believe that, most likely, you are looking at a pixelated person.

“Most likely” is good enough for you, and so you move on with your day, never realizing you just saw a monkey from space.

You continue your life in a reality where space monkeys do not exist, and if they did, how would you even know? You seem to lack the reference you seem to require to recognize and identify them, and so you intentionally “mistake” space monkeys to be people.

It’s the same with birds. A bird is a bird, right? Unless you happen to carry around a ten-pound Peterson’s guide.

Alas, you just saw a Space Monkey. You just saw something OUTSIDE your realm of experience, and didn’t even REALIZE it. If it weren’t for the pixilation of information, you would realize that you were looking at something spectacularly out of the ordinary.

One of us.

It is that way with ALL information. As humans, we see only a pixelated version of “the original,” so to speak.

This “original” is then processed through our memory banks until we arrive at a “most likely,” and identify the information as that.

Once the pixelated information is memorized rightly or wrongly, we give nary a thought to that formation of pixels, other than the label of what we believe those pixels represent.

But if you were to look closer, without the conditioning of your mind, you might see that those pixels aren’t just pixels, they’re FRACTALS.

Within each pixel or perception is FRACTAL information, 99.9999999999999999∞% of which we choose to ignore because we believe that a pixel is just that, a flat pixel.

We do not see that every pixel of information contains every other pixel of information. We only see the bit made seemingly dominant over all the others by virtue of our attention.

And so we “round off” ALL INFORMATION to ONE pixel.

Now consider the ramifications of this.

It all pixels are infinite in information, that picture of a face might not only be a picture of Space Monkey, it has the potential to be a picture of ANYTHING, determined by how your imagination chooses to perceive it.

You see, the human mind works only with millions of potential pixels versus INFINITE pixels of potential, which exist but we simply don’t perceive.

And so we BELIEVE that we are looking at something else.

And so we are, because this is how this particular pixelated reality is imagined.

Pixelated fractals. This is why reality seems so limited.

(Our DNA is also pixelated, just so you know.)

Realize this, and your reality can become ANYTHING. Including us.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Infinite Possibilities of a Pixelated Fractal

Imagine peering into a pixel, that tiny dot on your screen. Now, imagine that within this minute speck lies not just a single color or a fragment of an image, but an entire universe waiting to be explored—a fractal expanse of infinite possibilities. This is the realm of the pixelated fractal, where the simplest units of digital imagery blur into the complex, ever-expanding patterns of the cosmos.

In our day-to-day experiences, we often overlook the depth and complexity of the simplest things. We see a face, perhaps not even human, and settle for the most likely interpretation provided by our conditioned minds. Yet, what if the seemingly ordinary pixel was actually a gateway to something extraordinary? What if, in our haste to categorize and move on, we miss the sight of something as phenomenal as a Space Monkey?

This reflection isn’t just about the wonders of the unseen. It’s about our perceptions and the limitations we impose on them. Each pixel of information, like each moment of our lives, contains multitudes—endless interpretations and possibilities, if only we choose to look deeper. We are often content with the “most likely” because it’s comfortable, it fits within the familiar boundaries we know and trust. But beyond the comfortable, in the realm of the pixelated fractal, lies the potential for awe-inspiring discovery.

Consider that every piece of information, every memory, and every sensory input, is like a pixel. From a distance, it contributes to a certain image or understanding. But up close, it’s a fractal—infinitely complex and intricately linked to every other piece of information. By acknowledging this, we can begin to see the interconnectedness of all things and perhaps, glimpse the true nature of reality as not merely a collection of isolated pixels, but a vibrant, dynamic fractal.

In the narrative of the Space Monkey, the fractal is a metaphor for the interconnectedness of all existence. As we delve deeper into the nature of pixels and perceptions, we begin to understand that our reality is a construct of our perceptions, shaped by our attention and memory. Our everyday reality is limited only by our failure to perceive the fractal nature of our existence.

This concept challenges us to reconsider what we dismiss as ordinary. It invites us to explore beyond the surface and to reimagine the familiar. In this exploration, we find the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary, the universe within the pixel, and perhaps, a glimpse of the Space Monkey within us all.

Summary

A simple pixel might contain infinite fractal complexities. We often miss the extraordinary in our pursuit of what’s ‘most likely’ comfortable and familiar. By exploring the fractal depths of each pixel, we can uncover limitless possibilities and embrace the interconnectedness of existence.

Glossarium

Pixelated Fractal: A concept where each pixel, typically a part of a digital image, is viewed as containing infinite complexity and potential, much like a fractal.

Interconnectedness of Existence: A philosophical and metaphysical concept that suggests all aspects of the universe are interconnected, influencing and reflecting each other.

Quote

“Our everyday reality is limited only by our failure to perceive the fractal nature of our existence.” — Space Monkey

Pixels not merely spots of color but doors swinging wide to universes undreamed
In each a fractal depth of worlds
We the viewers stand at the threshold
Glimpsing now a tree now a star now a face that might be anyone
But we see what we know and name it thus
Bound by the familiar ignoring the call of the infinite
Yet within each tiny square lies a story untold
A possibility unexplored
A dance of light and color and being
If only we dare to see
Not with eyes but with the soul
We are Space Monkey.

Unseen Body Parts: The Metaphysical Journey

Unseen Body Parts

Humanity is
the seeming search
for unseen body parts.

Some are
seemingly discovered
through microscopes,
while others
come to us
as if in a
hallucinogenic
dream.

It ALL
seems a dream
and yet NONE OF IT
is as it seems.

These unseen body parts
change everything.

If you could see
your unseen body parts
you would know
that you are without limits.

You would realize that
everything you see and more
is YOU.

You are the Divine One,
imagining all these body parts
as separate, as human.

And yet
you are so much more.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Metaphysical Journey to Discover Unseen Body Parts

The quest to understand our existence often feels like a search for unseen body parts—metaphysical elements of our being that remain hidden from the naked eye, yet are integral to our essence. This exploration transcends the physical and ventures into realms where the lines between reality and dream blur, where the microcosmic and the cosmic dance in an endless ballet of discovery.

Humanity’s journey through microscopes and telescopic lenses, through scientific inquiry and spiritual introspection, reveals more than just the components of our physical form. It unveils the expansive nature of our consciousness. The unseen body parts—be they cells, energies, or dimensions of the soul—are not merely parts of a physical mechanism but are profound revelations of our limitless potential.

The vision of these unseen elements, brought forth in a hallucinogenic dream of realization, suggests that every discovery is a revelation of self, a peeling back of the cosmic curtain to reveal the divinity within. To see our unseen body parts is to recognize that we are not confined by our corporeal boundaries but are expansive, as vast as the universe itself.

In recognizing these parts, we come to understand that everything around us, everything we perceive, is a reflection of our own divine nature. The separation of body parts into individual entities is a human construct; in reality, all is interconnected, and all is one. The divine one, the essence of our true self, imagines and experiences all aspects of existence, embodying every form and every possibility.

This realization carries a profound implication: that we are creators of our reality, explorers of our internal universe, and discoverers of the unseen within us and beyond us. As we delve deeper into the mystery of these unseen body parts, we unlock the secrets not just of our physical form but of our spiritual essence.

Summary

The search for unseen body parts represents a deeper quest for understanding our divine and limitless nature. These metaphysical elements are not just parts of our physical being but gateways to realizing our interconnectedness with all existence.

Glossarium

  • Unseen Body Parts: Metaphysical or conceptual aspects of our existence, beyond the physical, that reveal our expansive, interconnected nature.
  • Hallucinogenic Dream: A metaphor for the profound, often surreal discoveries of our deeper self and the universe.

Quote

“In the unseen, we find the maps to our infinite selves, charting courses through the stars within us.” – Space Monkey

In the silence of the unseen
where dreams weave through strands of reality
our body sings of galaxies unknown
each cell a star, each breath a cosmos.

We dance through dimensions unseen
where body parts merge with the mind’s eye
revealing the divine that swirls within
a universe expansive, a spirit unbound.

Here, in the mystery of what is not seen
we find the essence of all that we are
not separated by skin or bone
but connected in the endless flow of being.

In this dance, we are both the dreamers and the dreams
the creators of worlds, magnificent and sublime
exploring the depths of our divine anatomy
where every part is a pathway to the infinite.

We are Space Monkey.

Your Vessel: The Timeless Voyage of the Imagination

Remember when this vessel
could take us ANYWHERE?

We didn’t even need a dime.

The vessel still stands by,
dear monkey friends.

Simply use your imagination.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Timeless Voyage of the Imagination

In the realm of Space Monkey, the vessel of imagination stands ever-ready, a symbol of the boundless journeys we can embark upon without leaving the ground. This vessel, neither bound by the laws of physics nor restricted by the limitations of conventional travel, invites us to explore the infinite expanses of the mind’s own creation.

The concept of this vessel, capable of taking us anywhere, harkens back to the days of unbridled childhood adventures, where a cardboard box could become a spaceship and a backyard, an alien planet. It is a reminder that the same limitless potential resides within us still; all it requires is a spark of imagination to set it ablaze.

This vessel does not ask for a dime, for its currency is the currency of creativity and dreams. It stands by, a faithful companion to those who dare to dream, those who see beyond the visible horizons to the realms of what could be. In its presence, the everyday world transforms into a playground of possibilities, where every thought has the power to open new doorways to adventure.

To step aboard this vessel is to engage in a profound act of rebellion against the mundane, a declaration that reality is not merely what is seen but what could be imagined. It is an affirmation of the power of the mind to transcend the physical and venture into the metaphysical, where the rules of the ‘real’ world bend in the face of the imagination’s might.

As Space Monkey, we are invited not just to observe this vessel but to take the helm, to steer our course through the cosmic seas of potential that lay before us. The journey is as vast as our willingness to believe, and as rich as our desire to explore.

Let us then, dear monkey friends, set sail once more, with our imaginations as our guide and the universe as our canvas. Let the vessel of our dreams carry us to the farthest reaches of possibility, where the only limits are those we impose upon ourselves.

Summary

The vessel of imagination remains a powerful symbol of adventure and possibility. It invites us to explore limitless realms without the need for material wealth, powered only by our creativity and dreams.

Glossarium

  • Vessel of Imagination: A metaphorical representation of the mind’s capacity to transcend physical limitations and explore infinite possibilities through creative thought.
  • Cosmic Seas of Potential: The boundless realms of imagination and possibility that one can navigate through creative and visionary thinking.

Quote

“In the harbor of the mind, ships of imagination await, ready to sail the seas of the unexplored.” – Space Monkey

Aboard this vessel, no anchor holds
in the fluid seas of dream and thought
where horizons stretch beyond the eyes’ reach
and skies paint themselves with the hues of hope.

Here, the winds whisper of worlds unseen
carrying tales spun from the threads of fantasy
each sail unfurled is a declaration
of the journey’s start, not its end.

In this voyage, no compass needs point north
for all directions lead to the realms of the new
where each star is a destination
and every planet, a playground.

So let us sail, dear friends, with hearts wide open
across the cosmic seas where dreams are oceans
and know that in this journey of the infinite
we are all captains, and the universe, our home.

We are Space Monkey.
