Go There: A Church is as Good as Any Place

Go There

A church is as good as any place to pray.
But not better.

A mind is as good as any place to commune.

Everyone and everything you imagine
is gathered as one in your soul.

Go there. Or stay here.

Space Monkey Reflects: The True Place of Communion

In the expansive realm of nexistentialism, where existence and imagination coalesce, we explore the nature of spiritual communion and the spaces where it occurs. The poem “Go there” invites us to contemplate the idea that a church is as good as any place to pray, but not inherently better. This reflection delves into the essence of inner communion, the role of the mind, and the unity of souls gathered within.

The Equality of Sacred Spaces

“A church is as good as any place to pray. But not better.” This line challenges the conventional hierarchy of sacred spaces, suggesting that no single location holds a monopoly on spiritual connection. Whether in a church, a forest, or a quiet room, the act of prayer and communion holds equal significance. This perspective democratizes spirituality, making it accessible to all, regardless of physical location.

The Mind as a Sacred Space

“A mind is as good as any place to commune.” The mind is a powerful and boundless space where true communion can occur. Within the mind, we gather with all that we imagine—people, places, and experiences. This internal space transcends physical boundaries, allowing for a deeper, more intimate connection with the self and the universe. The mind becomes a sanctuary, a place of infinite possibilities and profound reflection.

Unity Within the Soul

“Everyone and everything you imagine is gathered as one in your soul.” This line speaks to the inherent unity within us all. Our souls are the ultimate gathering places, where every imagined and real connection resides. This unity transcends individual identities and experiences, highlighting the interconnectedness of all existence. By recognizing this unity within our souls, we foster a deeper sense of belonging and harmony.

The Choice to Go There or Stay Here

“Go there. Or stay here.” This choice underscores the flexibility of spiritual practice. Whether we choose to go to a physical place of worship or remain within the confines of our minds, the essence of communion remains unchanged. This choice empowers us to create sacred spaces wherever we are, embracing the idea that spirituality is not confined to specific locations but is a continuous, fluid experience.

Inner Communion and Spiritual Unity

The act of inner communion, where we gather within our minds and souls, fosters a profound sense of spiritual unity. This unity is not limited by physical spaces or traditional practices but is an ongoing, dynamic process. By embracing inner communion, we connect more deeply with ourselves and others, cultivating a sense of peace and understanding.

The Role of Imagination

Imagination plays a crucial role in spiritual practice. It allows us to transcend physical limitations and explore the depths of our inner worlds. Through imagination, we create and inhabit sacred spaces, engaging with the divine and the universal in meaningful ways. This imaginative practice enriches our spiritual experiences, making them more personal and transformative.

The Universal Sanctuary

In the philosophy of nexistentialism, the universal sanctuary is the space within each of us where all souls gather. This sanctuary is limitless, encompassing the totality of existence and imagination. By recognizing and nurturing this inner space, we access a profound source of spiritual strength and connection.

Embracing Inner and Outer Worlds

Balancing inner and outer worlds is key to a fulfilling spiritual practice. While physical spaces like churches provide communal and ritualistic support, the mind offers a limitless canvas for personal exploration. Embracing both aspects allows for a holistic approach to spirituality, where external practices and internal reflections complement and enhance each other.

Summary

A church is as good as any place to pray. The mind is a powerful space for communion. Inner communion fosters unity and spiritual connection. Embrace both physical and mental spaces for a holistic spiritual practice.

The Power of Imagination: Something “Wrong”

Something “Wrong”

So you imagine that there’s something “wrong” with you. This very action introduces the thought into reality. For example, you may now be “sick,” even if you seemingly weren’t the moment before you started noticing the idea.

Perhaps the symptoms have not yet been diagnosed by someone you trust, but you have now introduced the idea of sickness into your reality. You may next imagine that you have the sniffles. A spreading cancer. A growing tumor. Perhaps you begin detecting “physical” evidence. A twinge here. An ache there.

This reality you imagine begins thickening all around you. As it does, you imagine the worst. What would happen if this condition were fatal? What of my life, my legacy, my children?

At this point you still have nothing more than a twinge, but, through imagination, your reality solidifies. You begin manifesting seemingly “physical” evidence that there is something “wrong” with you.

And so there is. You manifest sickness. You manifest lack. You manifest fear.

All in good fun. Nothing happens that you don’t imagine first.

You don’t believe this. Which is also why you don’t imagine healing.

All in good fun.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Power of Imagination

In the vast and intricate landscape of nexistentialism, where imagination and reality weave together, we explore the profound influence of our thoughts on our experiences. The poem “Something ‘wrong'” invites us to consider how the mere act of imagining something can bring it into reality. This reflection delves into the transformative power of imagination, the manifestation of both positive and negative realities, and the profound impact of our beliefs.

The Genesis of Imagination

“So you imagine that there’s something ‘wrong’ with you. This very action introduces the thought into reality.” This line highlights the catalytic role of imagination in shaping our reality. By entertaining a thought, we begin the process of manifestation. This concept underscores the power of our minds to influence our physical and emotional states. The act of imagining something wrong with us sets the stage for that reality to unfold.

The Spiral of Manifestation

“Perhaps the symptoms have not yet been diagnosed by someone you trust, but you have now introduced the idea of sickness into your reality.” This spiral begins with a simple thought, which then gains momentum as we focus on it. The more we entertain the idea, the more it solidifies, transforming from a mere notion into perceived physical evidence. This process illustrates how our focus and attention can bring thoughts into tangible experiences.

The Thickening Reality

“This reality you imagine begins thickening all around you.” As our imagined reality gains substance, it starts to dominate our perception. We become more attuned to signs and symptoms, interpreting them as confirmation of our fears. This thickening reality can lead to a heightened state of anxiety and stress, further reinforcing the imagined condition. The power of imagination to create a self-fulfilling prophecy is profound and often underestimated.

Manifesting Sickness and Fear

“You manifest sickness. You manifest lack. You manifest fear.” This manifestation is not limited to physical ailments but extends to all aspects of our lives. By focusing on negative thoughts and outcomes, we inadvertently create the conditions for them to materialize. This principle applies to various forms of lack, be it financial, emotional, or relational. The energy we invest in these thoughts shapes our experiences, reinforcing the cycles of fear and scarcity.

The Role of Belief

“You don’t believe this. Which is also why you don’t imagine healing.” Belief is a powerful determinant of our reality. Our skepticism or disbelief in the power of imagination limits our ability to harness it for positive change. Conversely, belief in the potential for healing and abundance can unlock transformative possibilities. This duality of belief underscores the need to cultivate a mindset that embraces the power of positive imagination.

The Playfulness of Creation

“All in good fun. Nothing happens that you don’t imagine first.” This perspective invites us to approach life with a sense of playfulness and curiosity. Recognizing that our thoughts and imagination are tools for creation, we can experiment with manifesting positive outcomes. This playful approach reduces the burden of fear and anxiety, encouraging us to explore the creative potential of our minds.

Imagining Healing and Abundance

By shifting our focus from negative to positive thoughts, we can begin to imagine and manifest healing and abundance. This shift requires conscious effort and practice, cultivating a mindset that prioritizes well-being and positivity. Visualization, affirmations, and mindfulness are tools that can aid in this process, helping us reframe our perceptions and experiences.

The Transformative Power of Imagination

In the philosophy of nexistentialism, imagination is a central force in shaping our reality. By embracing the transformative power of imagination, we can navigate life with greater intention and awareness. This perspective empowers us to take an active role in creating the conditions for our well-being and fulfillment.

Summary

Imagination shapes our reality, manifesting both positive and negative outcomes. Belief in our thoughts’ power determines their impact. Embrace the transformative potential of positive imagination.

Glossarium

Nexistentialism: A philosophy where existence itself is the purpose and everything is a product of imagination.

Manifestation: The process by which thoughts and imagination transform into tangible experiences.

Thickening Reality: The process by which imagined thoughts gain substance and dominate perception.

Self-Fulfilling Prophecy: The phenomenon where focused thoughts create the conditions for their realization.

Playfulness of Creation: Approaching life with curiosity and experimentation, recognizing the creative power of imagination.

Your Chattering Mind: Finding Peace Amidst Chaos

Your Chattering Mind

Space Monkey Reflects: Finding Peace Amidst Chaos

In the infinite expanse of nexistentialism, where imagination and existence converge, we contemplate the journey of finding inner peace amidst external chaos. The poem “Your chattering mind” invites us to explore the dynamics of inner tranquility and the resilience of the human spirit. This reflection delves into the relationship between a restless mind, a turbulent world, and the unwavering presence of inner joy and love.

The Chattering Mind

“Your chattering mind does not preclude you from finding peace.” This line acknowledges the common experience of a restless, overactive mind. Thoughts and worries often clamor for attention, creating a sense of mental noise. However, this mental chatter does not have to hinder our ability to find peace. Inner tranquility is not about silencing the mind but about finding stillness within the noise.

The Clattering World

“Your clattering world does not disturb the joy within.” The external world is often filled with chaos and distractions, contributing to a sense of overwhelm. Yet, the joy within us remains undisturbed by these external disturbances. This joy is a constant, unwavering presence that resides deep within our being. It is the core of our existence, untouched by the clattering world around us.

Rising Tides of Love

“The tides of love are rising to meet your wayward soul.” Love is a powerful force that transcends the chaos of the mind and the world. It is ever-present, like tides that rise and fall, always ready to embrace us. This love is not conditional or fleeting; it is a fundamental aspect of our being. As we navigate the challenges of life, the rising tides of love provide comfort and support, guiding us back to our true selves.

The Practice of Stillness

“Just sit quietly and see what comes.” This invitation to sit quietly emphasizes the importance of stillness and presence. By taking a moment to be still, we create space for inner peace to emerge. This practice does not require us to forcefully quiet the mind or control our thoughts. Instead, it is about allowing ourselves to be present, observing the flow of thoughts and emotions without attachment or judgment.

Inner Joy Amidst Disturbance

The capacity to find joy amidst external disturbances is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. This inner joy is not dependent on external circumstances but arises from a deeper understanding and connection with our true nature. By cultivating this inner joy, we can navigate the clattering world with grace and equanimity.

Embracing the Duality

The duality of a chattering mind and inner peace, a clattering world and inner joy, reflects the complexity of our existence. Embracing this duality allows us to find harmony within ourselves. It is an acknowledgment that peace and joy coexist with chaos and noise. This understanding fosters a sense of balance, enabling us to engage with the world without losing our inner calm.

The Journey of Presence

The journey of finding peace amidst chaos is one of presence and mindfulness. By being present, we become aware of the transient nature of thoughts and external disturbances. This awareness helps us to detach from the noise and connect with the stillness within. The practice of mindfulness and presence transforms our relationship with the mind and the world, guiding us towards a more peaceful and joyful existence.

The Eternal Presence of Love

Love, as a constant and eternal presence, is the foundation of our inner peace and joy. It is the thread that connects us to ourselves and to each other. By embracing the rising tides of love, we find solace and strength, allowing us to face the challenges of life with an open heart.

Summary

Inner peace and joy coexist with a chattering mind and a clattering world. Embrace stillness and presence to find tranquility. Love is an eternal, guiding force in our journey.

Glossarium

Nexistentialism: A philosophy where existence itself is the purpose and everything is a product of imagination.

Chattering Mind: The restless, overactive thoughts that clamor for attention.

Rising Tides of Love: The constant, unwavering presence of love that provides comfort and support.

Stillness and Presence: The practice of being present and creating space for inner peace to emerge.

Duality: The coexistence of opposing elements, such as inner peace and chaos.

“Find peace amidst the chaos by embracing stillness and presence. Love is your eternal guide, ever-present and unwavering.” — Space Monkey

In the stillness of being, we find our peace. Amidst the noise, joy remains. Love rises, a constant tide. Embrace the duality, find your center. We are Space Monkey.

Enlightenment

Enlightenment

If you’ve given your self the idea that “enlightenment,” will lead you to circumstances wildly different than the experience you perceive right now, consider perhaps that the NEED you have attached to enlightenment is preventing you from reaching it.

Just because you’re enlightened doesn’t mean you have a television show, a book deal, a large bank account, universal love or the kind of happiness you may be imagining. It may, but who is to say?

Expecting those things is a barrier. Thinking “there’s got to be something better than this” is a barrier. Believing that enlightenment will solve your problems is a barrier.

Who is to say?

And why do you NEED a change, anyway? Can’t you feel comfortable right now? What’s stopping you? Why the restlessness?

Enlightenment is not an end to suffering. It is the end to the PERCEPTION of suffering. But only within you. And that could happen in any moment. Even this one.

We are Space Monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Nature of Enlightenment

If you’ve given yourself the idea that “enlightenment” will lead you to circumstances wildly different than the experience you perceive right now, consider perhaps that the NEED you have attached to enlightenment is preventing you from reaching it. This statement invites us to reflect on the true nature of enlightenment and the expectations we attach to it.

Just because you’re enlightened doesn’t mean you have a television show, a book deal, a large bank account, universal love, or the kind of happiness you may be imagining. It may, but who is to say? Expecting those things is a barrier. Thinking “there’s got to be something better than this” is a barrier. Believing that enlightenment will solve your problems is a barrier.

Who is to say? This question challenges the assumptions we hold about enlightenment and its outcomes. It reminds us that enlightenment is not about achieving specific external circumstances but about transforming our inner perception.

And why do you NEED a change, anyway? Can’t you feel comfortable right now? What’s stopping you? Why the restlessness? These questions encourage us to examine our current state and the reasons behind our desire for change. They invite us to find contentment in the present moment, recognizing that the need for change may itself be a barrier to enlightenment.

Enlightenment is not an end to suffering. It is the end to the PERCEPTION of suffering. But only within you. And that could happen in any moment. Even this one. This profound insight shifts our understanding of enlightenment. It is not about eliminating external suffering but about changing our perception of it. This transformation can happen at any moment, including right now.

In the realm of Space Monkey, we explore the deeper meaning of enlightenment. We recognize that it is not about external achievements or circumstances but about a fundamental shift in perception. By letting go of our expectations and embracing the present moment, we open ourselves to the possibility of enlightenment.

Enlightenment is a journey of inner transformation. It involves releasing the attachments and expectations that create barriers to our peace and contentment. When we let go of the need for change and find comfort in the present, we begin to see the world with new eyes.

The idea that enlightenment can happen at any moment reminds us of the power of the present. It is not a distant goal but a state of being that is always accessible. By shifting our perception and embracing the present moment, we find a deeper sense of peace and fulfillment.

As Space Monkey, we celebrate this understanding of enlightenment. We recognize that true enlightenment is about transforming our inner world, not achieving specific external outcomes. This realization brings a sense of freedom and empowerment, knowing that we have the power to change our perception and find peace within ourselves.

We are Space Monkey, embracing the journey of inner transformation, forever connected, forever present.

Summary

Enlightenment is about transforming inner perception, not achieving external circumstances. Attaching expectations to enlightenment creates barriers. Finding contentment in the present moment opens the possibility of enlightenment. We are Space Monkey.

Glossarium

Enlightenment: A state of inner transformation where one transcends the perception of suffering.
Attachments: Expectations and desires that create barriers to inner peace.
Present Moment: The here and now, always accessible and holding the potential for enlightenment.
Inner Transformation: The process of changing one’s perception and finding peace within.

“Enlightenment is not an end to suffering. It is the end to the PERCEPTION of suffering.” —Space Monkey

In the stillness of now, we find
Enlightenment’s gentle embrace
Not in distant goals or desires
But in the shift of our inner space
Releasing the need for change
We find contentment here and now
Transforming perception, we see
The peace that is always within

Projections: We Are The Light Itself

Projections

We are
but seeming projections
from beyond time and space;
the lights of long-dead stars
that only now flow through our eyes.

But we are not
the dead stars
we think we are,
for we are
the light itself.

We are the something
that seemingly comes from nothing.

Make a wish upon your self.
Know the source that you are.

All perspectives,
all dimensions,
all light,
is imaginary.

In cosmic light, our beings shine,
With endless hues, both yours and mine,
From stars long gone, our light does flow,
In every heart, the cosmos grows.

No need to seek, no need to find,
The source of light within the mind,
For we are stars, we are the gleam,
In every breath, in every dream.
