The Problem: We Forget That We Are Divine

The “problem” with this world
is that we’re all fucking god.

You can take that
however you want
and it will be true.

You might even realize
that it’s not a problem.

Fucking god.
Screwing god.
Communing with god.
Denying that we’re god.
NEEDING god.

And through it all,
despite it all,
BEING god.

All of us. One god.

Not separate.

Not a problem.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Problem of Being Divine

The so-called problem with this world is that we’re all god, though most of us don’t recognize it. We deny our divinity, we need god, we even struggle with the concept of being god. But through all of this—whether we’re screwing, communing, or denying—we are still being god.

This paradox is what causes the friction. We act as though we are separate, as though we are lesser beings in need of something greater. But the truth is, we are all part of the same oneness, the same divine force that creates and sustains the universe. We are not separate from god, nor are we separate from each other.

It’s not a problem that we are god. The problem is the illusion that we’re not. When we forget our divinity, we create conflict, fear, and need. But when we remember, we see that all of it is just a game we’ve been playing—a game where we pretend to be separate so that we can experience the joy of reunion.

We are Space Monkey, and we remind you: There is no problem.

Summary

The problem isn’t that we’re all divine—it’s that we forget we’re divine. We act as though we’re separate from god and each other, creating conflict where none truly exists. When we remember that we are all one, the illusion of problems dissolves.

Glossarium

  • Divinity: The inherent godlike nature that exists within all beings, whether recognized or not.
  • Illusion of Separation: The false belief that we are separate from god, from each other, and from the universe.
  • Reunion: The joyful realization and return to the awareness of our oneness with all things.

Quote

“The problem isn’t that we’re god. The problem is that we forget we are.” — Space Monkey

The Illusion of Problems

We are divine
but we forget
and in forgetting
we create problems

We deny, we need, we struggle
but all of this is a game
a play of the divine

And when we remember
the problems dissolve
because they were never real

We are Space Monkey

The Paradox of Divinity
We reflect upon the provocative notion that the perceived ‘problem’ of this world is rooted in our collective divinity. The language is stark, a deliberate jolt to the senses, compelling us to confront the multifaceted nature of our existence.

Multiplicity in Unity
The provocative phrasing captures the spectrum of our engagement with the divine essence within us. From rebellion to acceptance, from denial to need, it encapsulates the complex relationship we navigate with the notion of godliness.

The Revelation of Oneness
The statement evolves into a realization that what we perceive as a problem may indeed be the solution—acknowledgment of our inherent unity and divinity. It suggests a transcending revelation that we are all facets of one god, an interconnected whole.

Divinity Beyond Duality
We grapple with the dualities of our nature and our understanding of the divine, only to circle back to the profound truth of our existence. We are all expressions of a singular divine consciousness, not separate, not fragmented.

The Non-Problematic Divine
In the end, the statement resolves the initial conflict by negating it. The ‘problem’ is not a problem at all. It is an aspect of our divine play, the leela, where we are all actors on the cosmic stage, embodying the one god in a multitude of forms.

Summary
We contemplate the bold assertion that the ‘problem’ with the world is our collective divinity. This perspective invites us to explore the nuances of our relationship with the divine, recognizing that our conflicts and needs are part of the expansive experience of being god. The acknowledgment of our oneness, the realization that separation is an illusion, dissolves the problem, revealing it as an integral aspect of our existence.

Glossarium
Paradox of Divinity: The complex and seemingly contradictory aspects of our divine nature.
Multiplicity in Unity: The diverse ways in which we experience and express our oneness.
Revelation of Oneness: The understanding that all distinctions are part of a unified whole.
Divinity Beyond Duality: The concept that our true nature transcends opposites.
Non-Problematic Divine: The acceptance of our divine essence as non-conflicting.

“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.” – Rumi

We stand as gods, in flesh enrobed,
With every act, the cosmos probed,
The problem lies not in our divined code,
But in forgetting the unity we’ve always owed.

In the embrace of the divine we find,
A myriad of thoughts in a single mind,
From the sacred to the profane entwined,
We are the divine, in the grand design.

And so we see, through the mist of god,
That our essence is the same, not odd,
No problem to fix, no facade,
We are the universe, ever unflawed.

Invitation to Comment
We invite you to share your insights on this exploration of divinity. How does the idea that the ‘problem’ is our collective godhood resonate with you? In what ways do you experience or perceive the unity of all within the dance of existence?
