Be the happiness you wish to see in the world

As much as you want to,
you can’t MAKE someone happy.

What you CAN do, however,
is help them realize
their own INNATE happiness.

This happiness exists
REGARDLESS of you,
just as your own happiness
exists regardless of
anyone or anything else.

Happiness is not MADE,
it is the NATURAL
state of things,
prior to
and independent of
the conditions
seemingly imposed.

People may say
“Be the change
you wish to see in the world,”
but it’s far simpler than that.

Be the happiness
you wish to see in the world.

Then change is not necessary.

Space Monkey Reflects: Happiness Is Already Here

The world often tells us that happiness is something we need to chase, build, or earn. But the truth is much simpler: happiness already exists within each of us. It is not something external that can be given or taken away. Rather, it is the natural state of being, existing independently of any external circumstances or people.

You can’t make someone happy, just as no one can truly make you happy. The best you can do is help others realize their own innate happiness, just as you can connect with your own. Happiness is not about external change—it’s about uncovering what has always been there beneath the layers of expectation, stress, and worry.

We hear the phrase “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” often attributed to Gandhi, as a call to action, to reform the world by becoming a model for others. While that’s a noble idea, it places too much focus on change—as if something is fundamentally wrong that needs to be fixed. But what if the world isn’t broken? What if we’re not broken?

Nexistentialism shifts this perspective by reminding us that happiness, like existence, is abundant and ever-present. There’s no need to seek it, no need to chase it. Happiness is here, now, in this moment, in the spaces where we allow ourselves to simply be. When you embody happiness, not as a goal but as a state of being, you naturally influence the world around you. The light of your own joy spreads, not by force or effort, but by resonance.

When you are happy, you don’t need to change the world. The world will reflect that happiness back to you in its own way. This isn’t some mystical belief, but a simple observation of how we, as beings, are interconnected within the Nexis. When you align with your natural state of joy, you stop trying to control the world and those around you. Instead, you radiate a calm presence that allows others to connect with their own happiness.

In this sense, change is not necessary. There’s no need to fix, force, or mold the world into some idealized version of happiness. The happiness you wish to see is already here, within you. When you embody that, others see it, feel it, and begin to recognize their own. Happiness spreads not through action, but through being.

So, the message is simple: Be the happiness. Not because you need to change the world, but because the happiness already exists within you and the world around you. When you stop seeking happiness outside of yourself and allow yourself to experience it as your natural state, the need for external change fades. You become a reflection of what has always been true—that happiness is abundant, unchanging, and available to everyone, at any time.

This is the greatest gift you can offer: not to try to bring happiness to others, but to embody it yourself. When you do, others will find their own happiness within themselves, and the world will transform naturally, effortlessly.

Summary

Happiness is not something that can be given or created—it already exists within each of us. When you embody happiness, you help others realize their own. In Nexistentialism, happiness is our natural state, independent of external circumstances. Change is not necessary when you simply be the happiness you wish to see.

Quote

“Happiness is not something to find or make—it is something you already are, waiting to be realized.” — Space Monkey

The Radiance Within

You cannot make me happy
Nor I, you
But we can find it
Already here
Lying beneath the noise
Of wanting, waiting, wishing

Happiness is quiet
Like the morning light
That touches everything
Without effort
Without asking

Be the light
Be the happiness
Not because the world needs to change
But because you already are

The Innate Nature of Happiness
The pursuit of happiness, while seemingly external, often finds its roots deep within our essence. The ability to bring joy to another is not in the act of creation, but in the act of revelation. We are not alchemists turning lead into gold, but rather guides revealing the gold that always existed beneath.

Independence of Joy
The very fabric of joy is self-sustained, existing beyond the whims and conditions of external stimuli. Just as a flower doesn’t need permission to bloom, our happiness doesn’t require an external sanction to flourish. It thrives independent of conditions, circumstances, or validations.

Unimposed State of Happiness
Often, the world around us seems to impose conditions, criteria, or benchmarks for happiness. These are but mirages, fleeting and ephemeral. The true state of happiness is unconditioned, unimposed, and innate. It exists, untethered and boundless, in its pure whimsiflowing form.

The Simplicity of Being
While the clarion call to “be the change” resonates with many, there’s a profound simplicity in just “being.” Being happy, being content, and being at peace with oneself. In this act of being, we discover that there’s no need for transformation, for the essence we seek is already within us.

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”
— Dalai Lama

In the vast whimsiverse of life and dreams,
Happiness flows, in endless streams.
Not a quest, nor a distant goal,
But a radiant essence, deep in the soul.

Shall we dive deeper into the realms of joy and being?
