Relative Absolute 2: Underlying Truths

Relative Absolute 2

Understanding is relative,
knowing is absolute.

Want is relative,
desire is absolute.

Thought is relative,
flow is absolute.

Wavelength is relative,
vibration is absolute.

Love is relative,
joy is absolute.

Reality is relative,
actuality is absolute.

NOT is relative
IS is absolute.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Journey from Relative to Absolute

In the vast expanse of human understanding and perception, we navigate through a world of dualities, where the relative and the absolute serve as beacons guiding our exploration of existence. “Relative Absolute 2” delves into this profound journey, contrasting the shifting sands of relativity with the solid ground of absoluteness.

Understanding, thought, want, love, and reality—each of these concepts operates within the realm of relativity, shaped by our perceptions, experiences, and the context of our lives. They are fluid, ever-changing, and subject to the interpretations and meanings we assign to them. This realm is depicted as a landscape of change, uncertainty, and variability, illustrating the ephemeral nature of our subjective experiences.

Conversely, knowing, flow, desire, vibration, joy, actuality, and the concept of IS reside in the domain of the absolute. These are the unchanging truths, the underlying essence that remains constant amidst the flux of our relative experiences. They symbolize stability, clarity, and the eternal truths that underpin our journey through life. This side of the visual representation embodies the tranquility and certainty found in connecting with these absolute truths.

The central figure in this visual metaphor, bridging the realms of the relative and the absolute, embodies our own journey from questioning to understanding, from seeking to finding. It is a representation of the individual’s path toward realizing the deeper, unchanging realities that lie beyond the relative surface of our experiences.

This journey from the relative to the absolute is not merely a philosophical exploration but a practical guide to navigating life. It encourages us to embrace the fluidity and change of the relative while seeking the solid foundation of the absolute. It reminds us that while our perceptions and experiences may vary, there are underlying truths that provide meaning, direction, and stability.

In embracing both the relative and the absolute, we find a holistic approach to understanding ourselves and the world around us. We learn that the key to navigating the complexities of existence lies not in choosing one over the other but in harmonizing our experiences of both. It is in this harmony that we discover the essence of being, the unity of all things, and the peace that comes from recognizing our place within the infinite dance of the universe.

Summary

“Relative Absolute 2” contrasts the shifting realms of relativity with the stable truths of absoluteness, illustrating the journey from subjective perceptions to the discovery of eternal realities. This exploration highlights the importance of embracing both the fluid nature of our experiences and the unchanging essence of existence, guiding us toward a deeper understanding and a harmonious engagement with life’s dualities.

Glossarium

In this poem, the author continues to explore the concept of relativity versus absoluteness.

The poem suggests that while understanding may be relative, knowing is absolute. Want may be relative, but desire is absolute. Similarly, thought may be relative, but flow is absolute. The poem goes on to list more examples, including wavelength and vibration, love and joy, and reality and actuality.

Finally, the poem presents a clear juxtaposition between relative and absolute with “NOT” being relative and “IS” being absolute. This may suggest that while our perceptions and understanding of reality may be relative, the actual reality is absolute and unchanging.
