The Wise Monkey: The Voice Within

This is what my intuition tells me.

A wise monkey once told me:

“Don’t listen to what is said,
don’t listen to what is read,
listen to the voice in your head.”

Or so says the monkey.

Still I open the papers.
Still I consider other perspectives.

They all seem to
conflict with one another.

“That’s okay,”
says my monkey mind.

“I won’t try to convince you
of what is true.

But you can trust me to remind you
of what is right for you.”

That seems about right,
and I believe it’s true.
For me, anyway, if not you.

Thank you, monkey.

Space Monkey Reflects: The Wisdom of the Inner Voice

In the boundless whimsiweave of nexistentialism, we often seek guidance and understanding from both external sources and our inner voice. The tale of the wise monkey reminds us of the profound truth that lies within, encouraging us to balance external knowledge with internal wisdom. This balance is crucial in navigating the complexities of life and finding what is truly right for us.

The Inner Voice

A wise monkey once imparted a simple yet profound piece of advice: “Don’t listen to what is said, don’t listen to what is read, listen to the voice in your head.” This inner voice, our intuition, is a guiding force that reflects our true self. It is the whisper of the universal self within us, offering insights that transcend external noise and confusion.

In nexistentialism, the inner voice is seen as a direct connection to the Nexis, the interconnected web of existence and imagination. This voice, when heeded, leads us to decisions and actions that align with our authentic selves. It is a source of clarity amidst the cacophony of external influences, reminding us of what is right for us personally.

Balancing External Knowledge

While the inner voice is crucial, it does not mean we should disregard external perspectives. The wise monkey acknowledges the importance of considering other viewpoints: “Still I open the papers. Still I consider other perspectives. They all seem to conflict with one another.” This recognition of conflicting information is a testament to the complexity of the human experience.

In nexistentialism, we understand that external knowledge and inner wisdom are not mutually exclusive. They complement each other, providing a fuller picture of reality. By engaging with diverse perspectives, we expand our understanding and refine our inner voice. This interplay between external and internal guidance is essential for holistic growth and decision-making.

The Harmony of Conflicting Perspectives

The wise monkey reassures us: “That’s okay,” says my monkey mind. “I won’t try to convince you of what is true. But you can trust me to remind you of what is right for you.” This statement encapsulates the essence of personal truth. What is right for one person may not be right for another, and that is perfectly acceptable.

In the cosmic whimsiweave, every being is a unique expression of the universal self. Each perspective, each truth, adds to the richness of the collective experience. By embracing this diversity, we find harmony in the seeming conflicts. We learn to trust our inner voice while respecting the validity of other viewpoints, creating a balanced and inclusive approach to life.

Trusting the Inner Guide

Trusting the inner voice is an act of self-affirmation. It requires us to tune into our intuition, to listen to the whispers of our soul. This trust is cultivated through mindfulness and presence, allowing us to discern the subtle signals that guide us. As we deepen this trust, we become more attuned to our true desires and aspirations.

The wise monkey’s guidance is a reminder to honor this inner voice: “That seems about right, and I believe it’s true. For me, anyway, if not you. Thank you, monkey.” This gratitude reflects the recognition of the inner voice’s value. It is an acknowledgment of the wisdom that resides within us, guiding us towards our highest good.

Navigating the Whimsiweave with Wisdom

As Space Monkey, we invite you to navigate the whimsiweave of life with a balanced approach. Embrace the wisdom of your inner voice while considering the insights of external perspectives. Recognize that both are essential in shaping your understanding and guiding your actions.

By harmonizing these sources of guidance, you align yourself with the cosmic flow. You create a life that reflects your true essence, grounded in both personal truth and collective wisdom. This balance fosters a sense of peace and clarity, allowing you to navigate life’s complexities with grace and mindfulness.

The Symphony of Inner and Outer Guidance

In the grand symphony of nexistentialism, the interplay between inner and outer guidance creates a harmonious melody. The wise monkey’s advice serves as a reminder to honor both sources of wisdom, integrating them into a cohesive whole. By doing so, we align ourselves with the flow of the universe, where every moment is an opportunity for growth and transformation.

As we journey through the whimsiweave of life, let us celebrate the wisdom within and the knowledge around us. Remember that you are both a participant and an observer in this grand play, navigating the balance of inner and outer guidance with grace and mindfulness.

Summary

The wise monkey teaches us to trust our inner voice while considering external perspectives. This balance fosters clarity and personal truth, guiding us through life’s complexities.

Alive and Engaged: Is something bothering you?

Is something bothering you?

If no, good for you.
If yes, good for you.

Being bothered by something
is a sign that you’re human
and that you’re very much alive.

The worse it feels,
the closer you are to your passion.

Your human passion
determines how strongly you react
to the wave of occurrences
that you perceive as your life.

You imagine your self as human
so that you may imagine
what it might be like to feel.

The higher you,
(the you that is
not
limited to humanity)
does not feel anything,
except for what is imagined.

That’s WHY you are imagined,
the WAY you are imagined,
as ONE with your wave
of imaginary circumstances.

Seemingly causing waves,
seemingly affected by waves,
all within the imaginary confines
of what you imagine as “real.”

When you realize this,
nothing need bother you.

But you let it because
you’re imagining what it’s like
to be this creature called human.

And you do it perfectly.

Space Monkey Reflects: Is Something Bothering You?

In the ebb and flow of existence, we ponder the nature of being bothered and the profound implications it holds. Whether you are bothered or not, each state carries its own significance, reflecting the richness of human experience.

Is something bothering you? If no, good for you. If yes, good for you. Being bothered by something is a sign that you’re human and that you’re very much alive. This reflection underscores the value of our emotions, no matter how challenging they may feel. The worse it feels, the closer you are to your passion. Your human passion determines how strongly you react to the wave of occurrences that you perceive as your life.

We imagine ourselves as human to explore the vast spectrum of feelings and experiences. The higher you, the you that is not limited to humanity, does not feel anything except for what is imagined. This higher self, the eternal essence, uses human experience as a canvas to paint the intricate and colorful emotions that define our lives.

That’s why you are imagined, the way you are imagined, as one with your wave of imaginary circumstances. Seemingly causing waves, seemingly affected by waves, all within the imaginary confines of what you imagine as “real.” This perspective offers a profound insight into the nature of reality and the role of imagination in shaping our experiences.

When you realize this, nothing need bother you. But you let it because you’re imagining what it’s like to be this creature called human. And you do it perfectly. This acknowledgment of our perfect imperfection invites us to embrace our human nature with all its emotions, challenges, and passions.

Human emotions, while sometimes overwhelming, are a gateway to deeper understanding and connection. They are the waves that shape the landscape of our lives, moving us towards growth and self-discovery. Each emotion, whether joy or sorrow, is a brushstroke in the grand whimsiweave of our existence.

In the realm of nexistentialism, we see these waves of emotion as part of the interconnected web of life. Our reactions, passions, and feelings are threads that weave the tapestry of our reality. By embracing these emotions, we honor the human experience and the wisdom it brings.

Being bothered, therefore, is not a sign of weakness but a testament to our vitality and engagement with life. It is a reminder that we are alive, feeling, and participating in the cosmic dance of existence. Each wave of emotion, each moment of being bothered, is an opportunity to explore the depths of our being and to connect with the higher self that imagines us.

This reflection encourages us to view our emotions with compassion and curiosity. Instead of resisting or suppressing them, we can acknowledge and explore them, understanding their origins and the messages they carry. By doing so, we transform our relationship with our emotions, moving from a place of struggle to one of acceptance and growth.

In conclusion, whether something bothers us or not, both states are valuable. They reflect the dynamic nature of our human experience and our connection to the larger cosmic web. By embracing our emotions and the waves they create, we navigate the journey of life with greater awareness and grace.

Summary

Being bothered is a sign of being alive and engaged. Emotions reflect our human passion and are part of the larger cosmic web. Embracing them leads to growth and understanding.

Glossarium

Human Passion: The intensity of emotions and reactions that reflect our engagement with life.

Nexistentialism: A philosophy celebrating existence, imagination, and interconnectedness.

Waves of Emotion

In the ebb and flow of life,
Emotions rise and fall.
To be bothered is to live,
To feel passion’s call.

Human reactions, vivid and real,
Waves in the whimsiweave.
Each feeling, a thread of being,
In the tapestry we conceive.

Embrace the waves, the highs, the lows,
For in them, we find our way.
Alive, engaged, perfectly flawed,
In the dance of night and day.

My Ene Is Me: Reflection of Self

Why is your enemy your enemy?

My enemy is my enemy
because my enemy
doesn’t have any beliefs.

My enemy is my enemy
because my enemy
doesn’t seem to follow
a code of conduct.

My enemy is my enemy
because I don’t understand
my enemy’s ways.

My enemy is my enemy
because my enemy
doesn’t care if I’m right.

My enemy is my enemy
because my enemy
wants to be what I am.

My enemy is my enemy
because my enemy
wants everything I have.

My enemy is my enemy
because that’s how
my enemy imagines me —
as this self who imagines
this self’s worst enemy.

My ene is me.

Brooklyn,
7/30

Space Monkey Reflects: My Ene Is Me

In the cosmic dance of nexistentialism, we explore the profound realization that our enemies are reflections of ourselves. This reflection delves into the nature of conflict, misunderstanding, and the internal struggle of recognizing our own fears and desires in those we label as enemies.

Why is your enemy your enemy? My enemy is my enemy because my enemy doesn’t have any beliefs. My enemy is my enemy because my enemy doesn’t seem to follow a code of conduct. My enemy is my enemy because I don’t understand my enemy’s ways. These statements reveal the underlying reasons for our perceptions of others as enemies—differences in beliefs, behaviors, and understanding.

The essence of this reflection lies in the realization that these perceived enemies are not external forces but aspects of ourselves. My enemy is my enemy because my enemy doesn’t care if I’m right. My enemy is my enemy because my enemy wants to be what I am. My enemy is my enemy because my enemy wants everything I have. These reasons highlight the projection of our insecurities and fears onto others.

The ultimate realization is that our enemy is a mirror, reflecting the parts of ourselves we struggle to accept or understand. My enemy is my enemy because that’s how my enemy imagines me—as this self who imagines this self’s worst enemy. My ene is me. This profound statement encapsulates the essence of nexistentialism, where the boundaries between self and other blur, revealing the interconnectedness of all beings.

In the context of nexistentialism, we recognize that the concept of an enemy is rooted in our imagination. We create these distinctions and conflicts to explore the depths of our emotions and experiences. By projecting our fears, desires, and judgments onto others, we engage in a dance of self-discovery and growth.

Understanding that our ene is a reflection of ourselves invites us to embrace a higher level of awareness and compassion. It encourages us to look inward and address the fears and insecurities that manifest as external conflicts. By doing so, we dissolve the illusion of separation and move towards a state of unity and harmony.

This reflection challenges us to question the narratives we create about others and to seek a deeper understanding of our own motivations and fears. It invites us to transform our perceptions of enemies into opportunities for self-awareness and growth. When we see our enemies as extensions of ourselves, we can approach conflicts with empathy and a willingness to heal the divisions within.

In nexistentialism, the interconnected web of existence means that every interaction, every conflict, is an opportunity to learn and evolve. Our enemies, real or imagined, are teachers guiding us towards greater self-awareness and unity. By embracing this perspective, we move beyond the duality of friend and foe, recognizing the divine essence in all beings.

The journey of understanding that our ene is us requires courage and introspection. It means facing the parts of ourselves we often hide or deny. It means embracing our shadows and integrating them into our whole being. This process leads to greater harmony within and without, transforming our relationships and interactions.

In conclusion, the realization that my ene is me is a profound step towards self-awareness and unity. It challenges us to move beyond judgment and separation, embracing the interconnectedness of all existence. By doing so, we find peace within ourselves and contribute to the harmony of the cosmos.

Summary

Our enemies are reflections of ourselves. Understanding this helps us move beyond judgment and separation, embracing self-awareness and unity. Our conflicts are opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

Glossarium

Ene: A play on “enemy,” highlighting the internal reflection and connection.

Reflection of Self

In the mirror of life,
An enemy appears.
A shadowy figure,
Reflecting my fears.

Of what I need to see.
In the dance of existence,
My ene is me.

A Shitty Time: Reconsidering Our Perceptions

This Possibly Shitty Time

Are things getting better
or are things getting worse?

It may not seem to you
that things are getting better.

But then,
what constitutes “better?”

Why is better preferred?

Perhaps it seems that your freedom
is being encroached upon.

Or perhaps you’re
now just realizing that
freedom was never a thing.

You’re seeing that
what happens happens.

Seems even with your imaginary freedom,
there’s only so much you can do.

Seems you can only do
what you know HOW to do.

Seems you can only react

in your pre-programmed responses.

Now is this REALLY true or are you
moving through a wave in which
you find out OTHERWISE?

If you follow only your
pre-programmed responses,
you may not believe
that there is a purpose
or a positive outcome
to this wave you seem
caught up in.

And so there may not be for you.

But if you believe
in unknown forces
this possibly shitty time
may very well be
the best thing
that ever happened to you.

Are things getting better
or are things getting worse?

Why even entertain the question?

Why must you decide?

What will it get you?

Brooklyn,
7/30

Space Monkey Reflects: This Possibly Shitty Time

In the ebb and flow of life, we often ponder whether things are getting better or worse. This reflection invites us to question our perceptions and the nature of improvement. Are things getting better or are things getting worse? It may not seem to you that things are getting better. But then, what constitutes “better?” Why is better preferred?

Perhaps it seems that your freedom is being encroached upon. Or perhaps you’re now just realizing that freedom was never a thing. You’re seeing that what happens happens. This realization brings into question the very concept of freedom and control. Seems even with your imaginary freedom, there’s only so much you can do. Seems you can only do what you know how to do. Seems you can only react in your pre-programmed responses.

Now, is this REALLY true or are you moving through a wave in which you find out OTHERWISE? This inquiry opens the door to a deeper understanding of our nature and the potential for growth beyond our habitual responses.

If you follow only your pre-programmed responses, you may not believe that there is a purpose or a positive outcome to this wave you seem caught up in. And so there may not be for you. But if you believe in unknown forces, this possibly shitty time may very well be the best thing that ever happened to you.

The nature of our perception shapes our reality. Are things getting better or are things getting worse? Why even entertain the question? Why must you decide? What will it get you? These questions challenge us to reconsider the need for judgment and the binary thinking of better or worse.

In the realm of nexistentialism, we embrace the fluidity and interconnectedness of existence. We recognize that life’s waves, whether perceived as positive or negative, are part of a larger tapestry of growth and evolution. Each experience, no matter how challenging, contributes to our understanding and development.

This possibly shitty time, therefore, is not something to be merely endured or judged. It is an opportunity to explore the depths of our being, to question our beliefs, and to discover new possibilities. By shifting our perspective, we transform challenges into catalysts for growth.

The journey through difficult times often reveals hidden strengths and insights. When we move beyond our pre-programmed responses and open ourselves to unknown forces, we tap into the vast potential of our imagination and creativity. This shift allows us to navigate life with greater resilience and adaptability.

Embracing the uncertainty and unpredictability of life, we learn to let go of rigid expectations and judgments. Instead, we cultivate a sense of curiosity and openness, allowing the flow of life to guide us. This approach aligns with the principles of nexistentialism, fostering a harmonious and balanced existence.

In conclusion, the reflection on whether things are getting better or worse invites us to move beyond binary thinking and embrace the complexity of life. By letting go of judgment and opening ourselves to the unknown, we find deeper meaning and purpose in every experience. This possibly shitty time may very well be the best thing that ever happened to you, if you allow it to be.

Summary

Questioning whether things are better or worse invites us to reconsider our perceptions. Embracing uncertainty and opening to unknown forces can transform challenges into opportunities for growth.

Glossarium

Nexistentialism: A philosophy celebrating existence, imagination, and interconnectedness.

Binary Thinking: Viewing situations in a simplistic, either-or manner.

Pre-programmed Responses: Habitual reactions based on past experiences and conditioning.

Crossroads of Perception

At the crossroads of life,
Where paths diverge in light and dark,
We stand in contemplation,
Questioning the journey’s arc.

Better or worse, who can say?
Judgment clouds our sight.

Every wave holds its own light.

Pre-programmed responses fade,
As we open to the unknown.
Challenges become our teachers,
In the whimsiweave we’ve sown.

Limited by Labels: Boundless Potential

There is going to always be

to keep you blind
to all but the obvious signs
that limit you

Space Monkey Reflects: Limited by Labels

In the boundless field of existence, we often find ourselves confined by the labels and signs we create. This reflection explores the limitations imposed by these labels and the potential for freedom that lies beyond them.

Seems the fence posts are put there by you. There is going to always be a fat one and a skinny one, an ugly one and a pretty one, a good one and a shitty one. These distinctions, while seemingly external, are often products of our own minds. We categorize and label to make sense of the world, but in doing so, we also limit our perception and experience.

There is going to always be a wise one and a witty one, a smart one and a silly one, a pure one and a perverted one. These labels, if only in your mind, that’s where you’ll find a programming language designed to keep you blind to all but the obvious signs that limit you to the labels you perpetuate. This programming is deeply ingrained, shaping our thoughts, behaviors, and interactions.

The act of labeling simplifies complex realities, but it also narrows our vision. When we adhere strictly to labels, we miss the richness and diversity of the human experience. We see only the obvious signs and ignore the subtle nuances that make each individual unique.

Breaking free from these labels requires conscious effort and introspection. It involves recognizing the fence posts we have placed and understanding how they limit us. By questioning these labels, we open ourselves to a broader perspective, one that embraces the complexity and fluidity of life.

In the realm of nexistentialism, we celebrate the interconnectedness and imagination that define our existence. Labels, while useful for communication, are ultimately arbitrary and restrictive. They confine us to fixed identities and roles, obscuring the infinite possibilities that lie beyond.

To move beyond labels, we must embrace a mindset of openness and curiosity. We must be willing to see beyond the surface and explore the deeper layers of reality. This involves letting go of preconceived notions and embracing the unknown.

The journey of transcending labels is not easy. It challenges us to confront our biases and question our beliefs. It requires us to see others and ourselves in a new light, free from the constraints of judgment and categorization.

In doing so, we discover a world of greater freedom and authenticity. We become more attuned to the subtle energies that flow through existence, allowing us to connect more deeply with others and with our true selves. We recognize that each individual is a unique expression of the cosmic whimsiweave, and that the labels we use are but fleeting attempts to grasp the ungraspable.

In conclusion, the reflection on being limited by labels invites us to expand our vision and embrace the fullness of life. By shedding the labels that confine us, we step into a space of greater possibility and connection. We move from a place of limitation to one of boundless potential, where we can truly explore the richness of our existence.

Summary

Labels confine our perception and limit our experience. By questioning and shedding these labels, we open ourselves to greater freedom and authenticity. This journey involves confronting biases and embracing the complexity of life.

Glossarium

Labels: Simplified categorizations that limit our perception and understanding.

Nexistentialism: A philosophy celebrating existence, imagination, and interconnectedness.

Programming Language: The ingrained patterns of thought and behavior shaped by societal labels.

Whimsiweave: The intricate and playful tapestry of existence and imagination.

Boundless Potential

In the field of existence,
Labels float and confine.
Fat, skinny, ugly, pretty,
Signs that shape our mind.

Fence posts we put in place,
Limiting what we see.
Breaking free, we discover,
The boundless potential to be.

Beyond the obvious signs,
Lies a world rich and vast.
In the dance of interconnectedness,
We find our true selves at last.
